Unfortunately the delay is in the ESC, at least in my experience the ESC needed changing before the delay went away... 😢 My steering never was straight either. Lots of fiddling with trim settings. I put 15mm hex spacers on the hubs to help some with handling. The extended hubs didn't lock well and i had to drill larger wheel holes... I lost steering linkage screws on its maiden run. I wanted to like it, but I'd break something every couple of runs. The a arm pins in the rear aren't captured, just press-fit, had to superglue one after a couple weeks. Ended up returning it, saved more money and got a 3s Granite. Nice video, basically the experience i had with mine, except the drive shaft\CVD pin in the rear. Mine stayed put. 😂
Well I really appreciate you watching the video given your experience with this car😅🙏 But yes I did notice the esc was actually the issue when it came to the delays. Honestly I didn't even get to swapping the esc before I gave up on it because of all the little geometry issue and as you said the parts that aren't tough really are weak, the chassis is like 4mm and mine bent in so many spots😵 Like yourself I tried to get it to a point were it was enjoyable but it was not going to happen so I disassembled it and the parts are now spares for my good handling and tough enough Eachine EC30, HBXs and the old style MJX hyper go, oh yeah and the beautiful body is now a JJRC body🤣🤘
Thanks for the honest opinion. I was aiming on buying this one, but this video is making me have second thoughts. You mentioned there are other cars in this price range that are better. Which ones should I consider? Also this will be my first rc and I want something with a little bit of speed. Also I’m from Australia so the price for this is around 250-300aud. Should I just save up a bit more and get something else?
You are welcome. For a first car I think you should probably save up a bit more and get yourself a good 1/10 scale car, they are much more stable in general and they are great for learning about all the different components, most of these 1/16 to 1/12 cars are OK but most are badly set-up like this one and the geometry is all wrong or they are impossible to pull apart if you need to fix something. If you are specifically looking for a smaller car then I would recommend the HBX 2997a or one car I've been really impressed with lately is the ZD Racing MT16, possibly the best $200aud car I have ever had.
Love the review and hello from Brissy! Got this last week - V3.0 with 2s battery. Doesn't have the 5press feature but as you said this is unrestricted which is better. Any tips to improve it now that you have had it for a while?
Thank you very much. Yeah I don't understand or like all these strange speed unlock processes, they do have full proportional throttle after all🤣 Tips I can't help with because I could never figure out how to make it enjoyably stable, sadly the geometry seems to be way off and it's far too heavy for its size. I stripped mine down, using the parts as spares for my HBX and Eachine cars.
Wow. Thank you for your honesty. This review is excellent. Honest, clear, fair... thank you. Also, after you changed the receiver and the transmitter to a dumbo, is the delay fixed?
You are very welcome🙂 Too many people over exaggerate and in some cases totally lie about a product for whatever reason, that's not fair on you guys especially if you then go and spend your money based on these reviews. And it turns out the glitch/delay issue is the 45a esc, has the same issue with a DumboRC radio, but at least we know they are somewhere decent stock transmitter and receiver😅 Thank you very much for your kind words and thanks for checking out the vid😊
Great idea👌😅 Yeah these "budget" brands are good for a bit of fun but if you enjoy PROPER bashing it's definitely a better option to upgrade PROPER basher👍
These are called entry rcs and are better for different factors (but worse in others) one being they are often more durable (if they got good handling or not is hence these reviews), less time spent, and that latter point further emphasized on the fact the hobby may be a persons their 7th 8th moneysink hobby/sport/activity etc., before that person MAY decide on bigger, more expensive time involved, rig. And entry markets (at whatever size scale of rc, i.e. arma gorgon) is always good, otherwise u wont have dedicated markets (or they at least suffer)
@@rccrazyAlot of the problems you mentioned are found in the more expensive models, cant tell you how many problems I had with my traxxas and arma (and many others saying the same), so youre not making a point. Also being against entry level or cheaper rcs is dumb (it should be low quality a person is against, not cheaper cost since cheaper can entail different markets, not necessarily bad quality), since quality entry versions are needed for quality elite versions in the hobby (or in any hobby).
Wow I don't understand the point your trying to make because I never said expensive cars don't have issues! Also your view of quality is far different to mine if all your talking about is strength, which sure this car is but everything else about other than the wheels are NOT quality😅 A quality car in my opinion is something with decent strength but you can actually drive. This car is unstable throughout the throttle range and gets really bad as you come off the throttle. I don't know what Arrmas or Traxxas cars you have but EVERY one I have drives 100x better than this thing, that's why I review. Speaking of reviews, I am 1 person giving my honest opinion AND literally showing my experience so please, if you don't like me personally or have a problem with my opinion you don't have to watch my videos.
Hi Saul, it looks like you have the MJX 14210 V.2 version like I do, so far I really like it, mine came with a 3S in the box from the seller so it is Crazy!
Hey mate👋 I'm very glad you are enjoying it! As I said in the vid I may not like it much but yes many like yourself like it. Just another example of how our/human preferences differ😁 Happy new year bud🥳
Hi, and thank you for this very detailed review of this fantastic car, I bought one for my son and have just two questions I am hoping you can help me with. The reverse mode seems to only work when its in the mood, any idea why ? Also, when I turn the first button of two on the remote it appears to increase the power, but also the car actually drives without me pressing the remote, any thoughts on how to stop this ? Thank you.
Sorry about the delayed reply. I'm not sure, it sounds like a calibration issue between the controller and esc or maybe a receiver issue. Sorry I can't help, you may have to contact MJX and ask them.
Apologies for the late reply mate. As I said it's super tough if that's all your after but honestly they are so unstable I don't understand why they are so popular, that's why we do these reviews hey👌😅 Thanks mate👊
Hey o Saul! Fantastic review. Yes these 1/14 versions haul some serious butt, but in my opinion the 14209 version, the one that looks like a king of hammers truck is a much more stable truck. It’s funny though, as they share the same platform. I think it might even be heavier than the 210. Power wise both are amazing. Apparently you got the early version of this as the recent one has a 5 peas mode one the esc that gets it up to an extra 5mph and it’s way more stable than what I’m seeing here. Either way it’s a beast! Think I saw four maybe 5 flips in a couple of your jumps. That’s just awesome!
Thanks Robbie👍 Yeah I think I might just be too focused on the little things I am noticing, the instability is crazy though, slower you go the harder it is to drive almost🤨😅 I should be able to make the whole car better but will need a fair bit of changing, diff oil, shock mods, better radio, esc, maybe even a diy chassis as this one looks like a banana already😬
Good video. From watching this video, I agree that it may not be worth it even at a lower price. Depending on how much lower it is, of course. Shouldn't have to change the radio out to get better stability from the beginning. I wonder though, if part of the steering problems that you were having was the servo arm jumping teeth or something similar? Dunno, just a thought.
Thanks Tim🙂 In regards to installing a new radio that's more because of the throttle reverse glitching, don't know if others could even tell but I can feel it when I'm trying to correct the car in the air, breaks and throttles at a different time compared to my finger movement. The stability could be a faulty or not quite slop free servo gear or arm or something yes, definitely got to check over it all, wish it had steering DR😭😆
@rccrazy Yeah, steering dual rate would probably help. There were some times in the video where it appeared that the corrections in the air you were trying to make were not the same as other cars, trucks, or whatever I have watched you run. You definitely know how to drive RCs and make corrections in the middle of jumps.I hope what I'm trying to say makes sense.
Oh yeah I can also tell if people are having some trouble with air control just by watching the movement of the car. Yes if I watch this video back I can see how much of a struggle I'm having to control the car, it felt 10x worse that it looks though🫤
I bought a Hosim 1/16 brushless a couple months ago, I'm still trying to figure out if the press power button 5 times is applicable to only to the ESC supplied to MJX models, or to other brands of the same design. The short wheelbase affects steering sensitivity, and the oversized wheels even more so😂 I agree with the radio throttle and brake delay, quite terrible, wonder if it can be updated with firmware or flash. I plan to change the radio and see if it remains sloppy response.
No this 2s version MJX does not have the 5 button push thing, it's not needed though as I get the same speed as the 5 push version so all they have done is added another throttle restriction you have to deactivate yourself🤦 And the delay is infact the esc not the radio, I tested the stock esc and motor with a DumboRC radio and it had exactly the same delay so I suggest trying a different esc instead, something of quality not surpass or goolrc!
Great video. I bought one of these and I think it has potential but I have to agree that the issue seems to be with the controller. Any ideas what you would replace it with? Would love to see that video! Also on mine (2S/3S version) the "press 5x" mode was not there. It was crazy enough on 2S. One more thing - I changed the tires to something slightly smaller and flatter and the whole car felt much better.
Thanks heaps mate! So I turns out it's actually the esc that has the glitch/delay as I did try a DumboRC radio system and it still had the issue. A new 45 or 50a esc will eliminate that I believe. And I also tried some different wheels and tested the MJX wheels on another car, basically a VS video, the MJX was worse, super wide wheels aswell so it was even more disappointing😕(Video coming soon) A better servo would ABSOLUTELY help so I'll get another servo to test aswell👌
@@rccrazy Oh that is super helpful. While I have messed with RCs a lot I have never replaced an ESC. Could you recommend one I could use here? I will order it today! And please keep up the good work with the videos.
It's very easy to swap escs, on this car it's just unplug the original from the receiver and install the new one, bit of double sided tape to hold it in place👌 And I highly recommend a quality brand esc like Hobbywing or Castle, Hobbywing is my GOTO, in your case you would need at least a 50a one, look up (Hobbywing WP-10BL-50a) that will fit and will be more than capable of pushing that motor and gearing on 3s👍
I cut the springs to lower it and the handling is now significantly better! Then I used the paddle tires as my main set because the original set is just too grippy for this small but heavy truggy.
Yes cutting the springs or using softer springs sometimes help a little but with this car I wouldn't want lower it or run softer springs as the stock ones are quite soft already. And as I said to another person, I am so OCD about everything I won't use such nice paddles on anything but sand or water, basically what they were made for. Saying that though, I did try less grippy wheels on this car and it was horrific to drive especially on the road😱 It just not a great car in general in my opinion. Not trying to be rude just being honest.
Yes I get it. It’s a set up that works for me to have the most fun with the little truggy. It’s not very refined and well built, not the greatest 14th scale rc for sure, but it has great potential to bring the biggest smile.
I get that riding this way is fun, so many people do it.. I'm new to this hobby but it seems a bit ridiculous riding like this. Ultimately you just wrecking the car, the first day it's taken out. It may go back home still working but it's so battered and bruised. Those offroad race circuits seem to be the way to go.
You got it completely wrong, you couldn't see my hands obviously but I was really struggling to drive this car just as I do EVERY other car I have. Big jumps don't damage cars if it's strong and you land on the wheels but if you can't land on the wheels it crashes, yes?😅 The fact that it survived even though I struggled to do what I was trying means it's tough as and MOST people should never break it if they don't drive thus hard. Stability it a total difference story, yes in my opinion if the car is ridiculously unstable it's not the best in general and that definitely makes the experience less pleasant. If all you want is tough then this is your car, if you want a pleasant drive and tough I would look at some more cars.
If that's US$ then no not in my opinion, MANY cars I would rather for the same price aswell as cheaper cars I would take over this one. If it's Australian $ then yeah that's better than what I paid but still many cars I'd rather for $160aud.
Couple tips with this car. Paddle tyres help the car be more stable. Or if you break in the exisitng tyres more. Delay is from the ESC. Just make sure the screws are tight around the steering of the car. Has abit of wobble in the wheels. Other that that I think its pretty awesome and durable. What other cars would you recommend with the price point?
MANY better cars for the same price and many actually less expensive but better like the JJRC Q117, HSP 1/16, Hospeed 1/18🤣 Basically every budget car including the old plastic chassis MJX cars I prefer over this brick! It's not the wheels, they are amazing on every other car I've tried them on. Paddle tyres are for sand not the road or bark! Try steering assembly is as tight as possible, the setup is bad, the servo is bad! It's just a terribly setup car with the exception of being strong. If a car is controllable it doesn't have to be so tough as the shocks, wheels and chassis take the punishment because your actually able to land on the wheels.
I would LOVE to get the HBX but it is also $300aud for us here in Australia which is insane for a 1/12 car from what was always a budget brand in my eyes😥 No point really getting one now as the hype has been and gone but I may get one to test myself one day if the price drops to a better price.
Got my daughter a mini e revo 1/16 scale has 4,400kv sensored castle motor. This seem slow by comparison but I paid more for the motor and Esc than this entire car. With that in mind I may may purchase one.
@@rccrazyfind a better set of tires and you won't be disappointed. Just by changing to paddle tires it stays on its feet a lot better and it don't flip over. I know the paddle tires aren't meant for the road or whatever but you can run them until you find a nice set of tires that makes this car handle good.
You are the first person to mention the esc and I think you may be correct, will do some testing on film to show everyone else but yeah I tried a different radio and it seemed to still have a strange glitch. Good eye👌 And there you go, that just shows how smart I am doesn't it, yep tethers will do the trick🤦 Thanks mate😅
Hey Burge, There are not actually that many quality 1/12 or 1/14 basher that I know of unless you look at brands like Losi and Team Associated but I believe most of their cars are more on the racing side of RCs. HPI have the 1/12 Savage but I have no experience with them. BUT HBX not too long ago released a 1/12 with a centre diff, I have no experience with it but it looks amazing for the price, I think that would be your best option. www.amazon.com/HAIBOXING-2997A-Brushless-Independent-Applicable/dp/B0CKBRTZ4L
Thanks for the honesty review. It's hard when people are emotionally attached to their purchase to the point where they ignore flaws. I've been debating between this 14210 and the hbx 2997a.
You are most definitely welcome! If something doesn't seem right I feel I have an obligation to mention it wether it's a major issue or something that can easily be fixed or modded, got to be honest👌 And from what I've seen and heard about the new HBX I would think that would be a much smarter option, I definitely want one😅
Find some really good tires for this thing and it won't flip as much. If you try the paddle tires that it comes with it likes to stay on its wheels. It's a lot more fun with the paddle tires on
What would you class as really good tires in that size? In my opinion the stock wheels as well as the paddles are some of the best quality tires I've seen on a "budget" 1/14 or 1/12 car. I have a video coming up soon doing exactly that though, tried my favourite 1/12 wheels and this was HORRIBLE😵💫 Admittedly they are not the best but my favourite for this scale. In regards to the paddles, I will not use them on stones, bark and essentially not the road because they are so good for other cars. My paddles are for sand and water, wet grass maybe but not hard surfaces. Not trying to be rude just very ocd about everything🤦
Only on the 3s version, this version does NOT have that feature. Infact I'm almost positive that the 5 button press is not faster than this 2s version without the button press, they are the same spec esc but the 3s one has just got more restrictions that you have to unlock yourself, this one is unlocked already😅
Apologies guys, quite a long video today. I had a really hard time editing this down, to be fair it was about 5 hours of footage in total😅 Also, I mention in this video how I think this car is very over priced, it has gone down dramatically since I purchased mine, definitely better priced now👍 Thanks everyone!
Ye I got mine for about $200 which is much more reasonable. Did you have to change the connection on that new 3s to a deans? I have some 5200mha 2s on order for this truggy. Love your content mate. Cheers
Thanks mate👍 No I changed the esc and the 2s to XT60 plugs, I can't stand deans plugs. And what brand 5200mah 3s fit in these cars? No way any of my 5000mah 3s would fit this car🤔
@@rccrazy ye they will probably end up with cable ties on it 😆. I have only recently fallen down the RC rabbit hole because I was blown away by how good the Q117s are for the price. Looking for something that's more durable though. Bits are falling of my Q117s.
Well for starters I paid $300aud and it's still about that most places in Australia, find it for $249aud ever so often when the exchange rate changes. But for $300 I would expect the geometry to be at least OK, it's not. A decent metal gear servo which I though it was for some reason, it's not, it's a super slow plastic gear servo😴 And better quality alloy parts, chassis is like 3mm thick but as soft as cheese. I did swap to a good metal gear servo WITHOUT a servo saver and it was just as unstable and just unpleasant to drive, think I filmed it so may have that video out soon, that's if you want to watch my vids after this discussion😅 Being completely honest mate, I think it is actually the most unstable car of its size I have personally had, I like their old plastic chassis ones so it's not a brand thing I just don't enjoy this car.
I got the h14bm and im almost leary of driving it because of the stance. Its not very fun to drive and thqts the whole reason for r.c.. idk if i want to invest anymore money in upgrades and tires, diffs ex..
Yes I found it very frustrating to drive. I definitely wouldn't spend anything on one of these, they are well set-up but they go the geometry way wrong and the weak parts are SUPER weak, my chassis after the 2st bash was so bent, not just one bend either it was totalled. I stripped it down and used the parts for good cars.
It's a service road, it's literally flat or very heavy sloped on the opposite side of the bark area. It's the car mate, after 20+ years of driving RCs I can kind of tell if something is off with a car.
These look like a pretty tough little rig, bit overpriced on ebay though, not sure why. Also there is another INSANE POWER MODE that can be unlocked by pressing the power switch 5 times quickly on the esc, seen a couple other guys do it in their videos, i guess you missed that in the user manual. 🤟😂🍻
Yeah man that's the problem, they are so tough but that could be one of the cause of the instability, because it's so heavy for a small scale car it just isn't set-up correctly if even possible. I am very ocd about basically everything though so maybe others won't notice all the little things I do😅 And yeah the 2s version esc mustn't have the 5 push feature as I did try numerous times and nothing, no mention of it in the manual either🤔🤷
Yes they made some strange decisions with this car, don't know why they needed the 5 button push thing it's pointless! This version gets the same speed on 3s as the 3s version doing that button thing, this one is the same spec esc just less restricted🤣🤦
Yes you are correct, I just checked and full plastic gear servo🫤 I think I just assumed it would come with a MG servo given the price tag, even worse now🤣
Hey Good video I need your help😊 I think betwen SCY 16101/16102 pro vs hyper go 14210 SCY is arround 130$ Hyper go is 179$ Aliexpress I also was ordered Conquer 16102 by SCY Im waiting from aliexpres😊
@@rccrazy Maybe the PRO version. The SCY 16102 which I got keeps braking - such a piece of crap. Changed mostly everything. The MJX is a totally different story. Well made and durable. I don't understand all your complaints, but from a 300$ perspective, you may be right. I got my MJX 14301 and 14210 for less than 130$ and they both are perfect. The delay you are talking about is a safety feature both my MJX have. The SCY i got was 60$ but I had to put around 150$ of upgrades to make it somehow usable. The servo went in 2 days. DON'T BUY REGULAR SCY. MJX is in a different league.
I am definitely talking about the pro versions. The brushed SCY cars come with plastic diffs, shafts and outdrives, it is very weak. The Pro SCY cars are MUCH more stable and much lighter than the mjx, the mjx has a dodgy esc, slow and weak servo and just a bad car to drive out of the box. And considering the Pro SCY is less than half the price of the mjx it's a better option in my opinion. If your breaking arms and chassis parts that's got nothing to do with parts strength as they are plenty strong enough to launch 40+ feet and survive IF your landing on the wheels! The delay is not a safety feature it's a bad esc, whoever told you a 2 second glitch where the car keeps throttling in both reverse or throttle is a safety feature have never used a decent esc😅
It's a great model for the price, incredibly fast and powerful. It has a huge issue on steering, which is loose. The metal mod found in AliExpress does not solve the problem. Really sad.
It's very expensive here in Australia, over $300 Australian dollars at some stores currently, and yes with it's major geometry issues it's far from a $300 car in my opinion. No good being fast if it's uncontrollable.
Absolutely, can almost get a good and very well set-up 1/10 Arrma for that here, some of these "budget" brands are going a little loopy with their prices which is disappointing.
Honestly there are so many at the same price or less that I would prefer its hard to recommend one. The newest HBX is amazing but it may be just a little more depending on where you live, country I mean. www.amazon.com/HAIBOXING-2997A-Brushless-Independent-Applicable/dp/B0CKBRTZ4L
Had a chance to change the receiver? I just got mine with gyro. I wonder if it will be better for control with that gyro. I am still waiting for some nice weather for my first ride (disregarding short inhouse testing)
If you mean because the instability then no i have not tried for that reason but could be a little better with a gyro. In regards to the glitches/delay yes I did try a DumboRC transmitter and receiver, it turns out the issue is actually the esc as it had the same delay with a DumboRC system sadly. I will be changing the whole setup eventually, electronics, custom carbon chassis and completely change the geometry because as it is now it's close to the worst car I have especially for the high cost.
If it is your very first car you may not notice the things I mentioned, 20+ years of experience I notice everything😅 But if you or others do notice will make a few major changes so I can help make them better. Stuff like geometry, diff oil and shock oil is fairly low cost so I will do that stuff first👌
@kaskalo2 I have not changed anything yet so I don't know what will helps yet. I will make videos of the changes when I have time to do them I'm just very behind at the moment, I'll try and get to it asap. Sorry mate!
Too many to mention all of them but it's not really about what's better it's more personal preferences, and for me any at the same price are basically all better to me. For less you can get a JJRC Q117 pro, HBX 16889 pro, even the little Wltoys 184008 I like much more and it's also half the price if not less now. The first legit hobby grade RC you try you will notice what I'm talking about. Save your money, get a good brand car like Arrma, Team Corally, HPI, Maverick is a good beginner brand and only a little more than this MJX but bigger and just in general more enjoyable😉
The upgraded version comes with a dumborc transmitter with gyro & a light controller so you get your dual rates for steering & throttle not to mention much better overall performance!!!! Oh it's also cheaper!!!!!😉
Never seen any that come with a dumborc system. Even the new Citroen comes with the normal radio but the biggest issue is not the controller, I can swap that myself to get DRs and gyro, it's the esc which they have not changed from what I have seen. Half the price maybe but $300aud is a joke!
@@rccrazy $300aud is a bit much I paid $254NZD it also came with a 3S Lipo & lots of spare parts including sand paddle tires. Not sure why you think the ESC is an issue? Anyways a good review all the same bro' 😉
@jimiwith2eyes yeah they are still around $300aud here on most listing and I have seen the 3s lipo version with paddles and parts, it didn't have a dumborc though. And I don't think the esc is bad I know it's bad as I show the glitch in another of my video, it literally keeps throttling after removing your finger from the trigger and sometimes upto like 2 second, that 100% effects throttle control especially when it happens in reverse and forward. Exactly the same when I tested with my dumborc radio.
You do realise I ment Australian dollars right? They are still $300+ Australian many places here. And I no longer have it as it was totalled after 3 runs so I'm using all the OK parts for my better cars.
They are both the same car I believe. The only difference is the one that comes with 3s has that silly 5 button push feature to unlock the true top speed. The one that comes with a 2s is just as fast but you don't need to push buttons you just install a 3s lipo.
The listing I bought from it is sold as a 2s version, no 3s option. You'll need to find a 3s version if you want a 3s one out of the box. I don't recommend this car at all though, its just horrible even on 2s, so unstable and WAY too heavy!
Hey mate really good run down of the car at the start of the video. But honestly as you said I think the car is pretty subpar for that price tag 😬 Think you have saved people some hard earned cash by reviewing this. Also the gold shell is terrible 😬😂
Thanks heaps Michael😁 Yes I wish I knew it would be going down in price by about $60aud within the fortnight would've waited, ripped myself this time🥴 I know its a bit of a trend these days to say your hobby is your lifestyle but RCs in general has been my ACTUAL lifestyle for close to 20years now so I'd be doing it without a channel anyway, at least this way you guys get another opinion on these always fun RCs🥰
@Mick_Au yeah it was sitting on about $300 for a good 2 month before I decided to order, it arrives and the next day it goes down $60, WHAT😱🤣 And dads Grom may be waiting at the post office for pickup, got a few slips today😅
Thanks jerry. I was thinking similarly but the oil is actually quite thick already and the springs are about right so I really don't understand why it's so unstable. You would be smart to spend your cash on something else, many better 1/14 and 1/16 cars on the market👍 Not sure what you mean about the saver though, sorry mate.
Tighten them back up. If they literally won't stay tight then you have damaged the thread in the plastic parts and will need to replace the parts or install longer-thicker screws.
Their reputation took off with their 16th scales, but I suspect it was more of a stroke of luck. There is virtually no QC and R&D with these companies. It's all about power and giving parts customers want on it but there's seldomly a well balanced platform coming from China.
Perfectly said! Yes it's fantastic that they are producing strong fast cars and parts are somewhat easy to get basically everywhere but no your not getting a tested and approved car from fellow drivers/pilots your getting a producing from someone just chasing the profits. Good thing there are still some that are worth checking out👍 Thanks mate!
Any radio system with a dual rate option will give the car adjustable dual rate mate. Almost all good controller have adjustable dual rate and many cheap cars aswell.
In regards to the ramps, yeah expense vs what you get with the pre made ramps is madness😬 DIY works out much cheaper but yes it takes some work. And I no longer support that company but saying that yes the terminator from what I've seen would be a MUCH better option than this MJX👍
It does not work on this version as I have mentioned many times. I have tried numerous times. And no nothing in the manual about it like the 3s version shows.
Hello my son just got one of these for Xmas and it keeps stopping after a few minutes of driving and my son has to turn it off abs then back on for it to restart. Anyone know what could be causing this?
I assume you have fully charged the battery, if so and it still has plenty of charge I would say it's more than likely a esc problem, I couldn't help with actual diagnosis sorry. Or it could possibly be a calibration issue with the transmitter and receiver. In both cases you would probably be better sending it back for a warranty or a replacement.
5500mah 3s is far to big to fit in this car, I believe 2000mah 3s is the biggest I managed to fit in it. Check measurements of lipos before ordering as the pictures are sometimes just there for a representation of what you'll get since there is so many shapes and sizes when it comes to lipos.
To answer does 2200mah 3s fit, no not the common size ones, too long. You really need shorty packs if y9u want larger capacity, like race drone lipos. But yes most 1300s should fit, I have a ZOP Power 1500mah 100c 3s that fits perfectly. I believe MJX do make a 3s specially for this car aswell though, Banggood or Aliexpress would be the best place to look I think👌
All the screws are junk and have to completely strip chassis to access them . The slop in steeering aids the screws shearing . I broke front cvd and grub screws also sheared … junk avoid
Also it doesn't have a stability issue we even me thinks it should perform like a 1/10 or 1/8 it can't I had to remember this also 3s don't work stay away from that 2s only it a fun little truck but it not a 1/10 but is over priced
It is very unstable! It's actually more unstable at lower speeds so sticking to 2s won't help at all😆 75kph is not that fast and compared to basically every other car I have on-road or off-road that do 75kph + and even some smaller cars I have are definitely more stable than this one. I don't want it to act like a 1/10 I want it to be as stable as I expected for what it is.
Yeah man I don't understand why they didn't stick with the sweet plastic chassis design but just lengthen it and used the newer arms, gears and shell design🤔 And yeah all these RC companies really seem to be inflating their prices on everything😥
Yeah not verry impressed either bro, for me these cars are great but too fast for there tiny scale, meaning it will get destroyed quickly and too expensive, for me hbx nails it well with its speed vs scale like the 2995 for instance 👌, brushless is too powerfull and not verry good for power vs creep speed, it just wants to go fast and its not always about speed when driving a rc car, nothing over 12th scale for me, bigger is better, more realistic and stable and at the end of the day you go back home with a complete rc car thats still working, well for me anyway because i dont like bashing my cars and ramping over and hitting all sorts of bumps and objects at speeds as fast as the car can do, i find much more joy in normal slower to mid speed driving with maybe a burst of full power now n again where its suitable, for me these modern rc cars are verry verry cool and not worth bashing up right out the box and right after one wishes you never done that in the first place, for a channel like this its ok to test these things hard so people can see what to expect if reckless and i thank you guys for that but at the same time i feel sorry for ur pockets lol, though if a company sends you a model to review then its a bargain right ? 😉👍, peace from South Africa ✌🇿🇦✌
It is a very strange car, one of the most unstable I've used even at very low speeds, definitely think hbx is a great company though yes👌 And yes we all have different driving styles, sounds like you may be better with rock bouncers or crawlers, some have good top speed but can drive VERY slow if you want. I personally am a adrenaline addict but can't drive real cars or dirtbikes anymore so I do it with my RCs, the faster the better😅 But as you said at least you guys get to see what is probably too much for a specific car, I can drive pretty good so I can tell straight away if a car is stable or not and I can kind of tell if a car is a total fail and can not be bettered, like this MJX sadly😕
@@rccrazy yes everybody has there own taste of thrills with rc cars just like anything els ur verry right 👍, and nothing wrong with bashing a new car if that's what one likes and can afford, as a pensioner myself I know I can't afford that so I have to look after whatever I got but I've always been that way so things last me a life time 🤣👍, and yes I love mixed driving and like a rc car that has a balance between good low power control of speed that'll climb obstacles pretty good and offer fare speed and handling too all in one package, and brushed motors do that better than brushless without suddenly launching itself over whatever ur trying to get over 👀, these over powered mini rc cars are insane though and I had a hypergo in mind just last week but changed my mind for a hbx 901 instead, I can't help but love hbx for there great quality and loyalty to what the customer wants at a damn good price at that too 👌, hbx sure sets a great standard with there prices vs quality that even a poor dude like myself could afford with two months of saving, and verry greatfull for brands like hbx and wltoys and a few newer brands that look great, anyway thanks once again for ur cool helpfull reviews bro, ive subbed and will watch them all ✌
Its the opposite of what you said, the bigger it is, the more prone to breaking (the mjx just has too much power in comparison to its stability), not only the size scale makes it more prone in of itself but also the increased weight as well from that size, and then add all onto that with speed, even moreso. Its the speed and likely scale (instability) that makes it tumble (although Ive seen some 1 18th scales be incredibly stable somehow😮)
@lyricofwise6894 seriously🤦 I would never say bigger cars are less prone to braking considering physics tell you if you stretch something you have to massively scale up the thickness aswell therefore with good material strength small compact cars will ALWAYS be more resilient! And in regards to stability you argued who knows what really but then contradicted yourself by saying "although I've seen some 1/18 scales be incredibly stability somehow🥴" That's because this is just a bad set-up car in general!
Learning how to drive might be something you try, I have one and it's an absolute beast, and it's since been upgraded, best rc truggy I've had yet, the only thing I don't like I'd the delay in transmitter
If you pull the throttle, the car turns sharply to the right, and the straight forward performance is the same even if it's a very, very, very phlegmatic gyro. Three cells out of control in a two-cell battery. Both 1/14 cars have the same symptoms. Anyone who wants to buy a very, very worst car should buy something else
mjx Hypergo 1/16 All cars in possession. Even 3 models 16207 are so satisfied with their possession, so among the 2 models 1/14 Drift Truggy Jeep Drift cars, the wheels are a little small. Except for the truggy and Jeep, when you pull the throttle. The car turns to the right at the moment, and the straight control is a mess. It's a little better than the truggy, but I can't say it's better than other cars
Hey buddy I’m new to your channel but I have 3 of these beasts. If you are gonna do speed runs then I would advise turning it on properly for that mode. 😮 Hit the little red power button five times instead of once. You will thank me later. We are talking 10-15+kph just for READING the directions. 😂 Great video otherwise. Next time be a little more humble with those directions unless you designed the car they are very helpful and necessary.
Unfortunately the delay is in the ESC, at least in my experience the ESC needed changing before the delay went away... 😢
My steering never was straight either.
Well I really appreciate you watching the video given your experience with this car😅🙏
But yes I did notice the esc was actually the issue when it came to the delays.
Honestly I didn't even get to swapping the esc before I gave up on it because of all the little geometry issue and as you said the parts that aren't tough really are weak, the chassis is like 4mm and mine bent in so many spots😵
Like yourself I tried to get it to a point were it was enjoyable but it was not going to happen so I disassembled it and the parts are now spares for my good handling and tough enough Eachine EC30, HBXs and the old style MJX hyper go, oh yeah and the beautiful body is now a JJRC body🤣🤘
I threw a gyro in my 16210 3S. Hyper Go actuallymakes one. Works GREAT!
I tried a gyro and I didn't get much better results, bad geometry is hard to hide.
Love the review and hello from Brissy! Got this last week - V3.0 with 2s battery. Doesn't have the 5press feature but as you said this is unrestricted which is better.
Any tips to improve it now that you have had it for a while?
Thank you very much.
Yeah I don't understand or like all these strange speed unlock processes, they do have full proportional throttle after all🤣
Tips I can't help with because I could never figure out how to make it enjoyably stable, sadly the geometry seems to be way off and it's far too heavy for its size.
I stripped mine down, using the parts as spares for my HBX and Eachine cars.
Wow. Thank you for your honesty. This review is excellent. Honest, clear, fair... thank you. Also, after you changed the receiver and the transmitter to a dumbo, is the delay fixed?
You are very welcome🙂
Too many people over exaggerate and in some cases totally lie about a product for whatever reason, that's not fair on you guys especially if you then go and spend your money based on these reviews.
And it turns out the glitch/delay issue is the 45a esc, has the same issue with a DumboRC radio, but at least we know they are somewhere decent stock transmitter and receiver😅
Thank you very much for your kind words and thanks for checking out the vid😊
Nice just sat down cheers from NZ
Thanks for the honest review. I’ve stopped buying these ‘cheaper’ cars and put the $ towards M2c upgrades for my arrma cars.
Great idea👌😅
Yeah these "budget" brands are good for a bit of fun but if you enjoy PROPER bashing it's definitely a better option to upgrade PROPER basher👍
@lyricofwise6894 😵💫
Also your view of quality is far different to mine if all your talking about is strength, which sure this car is but everything else about other than the wheels are NOT quality😅
A quality car in my opinion is something with decent strength but you can actually drive.
Hey mate👋
I'm very glad you are enjoying it!
As I said in the vid I may not like it much but yes many like yourself like it.
Just another example of how our/human preferences differ😁
Happy new year bud🥳
Damn! Expected a bit more from mjx at that price point. Great video ‼️👍👍🦾🦾🤘🤘
Yes I 100% over paid for this on!
Oh how I love the generous seller of Australia🤦🤣
Thanks Dome🤘
Thanks for the review
Hi mate great video mate. Nice little rig 👍🦘😁🤣🤣
Try running a rubber band over your body posts and under the pins. It might keep them from flying out. Nice jumps, man!
Yeah that could help the pins from popping off every second jump😆
Thanks mate😁👍
Awesome video brother as always! Was actually looking at that truck yesterday! Glad I seen your video! You did give that dude some abuse though! 🤜🤛
Apologies for the late reply mate.
As I said it's super tough if that's all your after but honestly they are so unstable I don't understand why they are so popular, that's why we do these reviews hey👌😅
Thanks mate👊
Thanks Robbie👍
Yeah I think I might just be too focused on the little things I am noticing, the instability is crazy though, slower you go the harder it is to drive almost🤨😅
I should be able to make the whole car better but will need a fair bit of changing, diff oil, shock mods, better radio, esc, maybe even a diy chassis as this one looks like a banana already😬
Cuál es el nuevo modelo??? En AliExpress si pongo 14209 son todos iguales pero diferentes precios... Ayuda!!!
Just got mine for $113 with free shipping :) v3 version.
US no thanks, Australian🤔 no thanks😅
Sorry I'm really not a fan of this car.
Thanks Tim🙂
In regards to installing a new radio that's more because of the throttle reverse glitching, don't know if others could even tell but I can feel it when I'm trying to correct the car in the air, breaks and throttles at a different time compared to my finger movement.
What is the Problem concerning the delay?
Ist it the transmitter/receiver or is it the esc?
It is definitely the esc.
So disappointing this car!
Hello enjoy your vids as always! Would you take Jjrc q117 over this?
Thank you mate👍
Yes I 100% prefer the Q117, it's about half the cost, faster, lighter and MUCH more stable than the Hyper Go.
@@rccrazy well luckily i got it instead of the mjx for less than a 3rd of the price :).
Do you prefer jjrc over mjx 16 svale version too?
I'm going to buy this 💯💋👍🏾.
I want to put the shell of 14209 onto the 14210, will this work?🤔
Not sure mate, I don't have the 09 sorry
I bought a Hosim 1/16 brushless a couple months ago, I'm still trying to figure out if the press power button 5 times is applicable to only to the ESC supplied to MJX models, or to other brands of the same design. The short wheelbase affects steering sensitivity, and the oversized wheels even more so😂 I agree with the radio throttle and brake delay, quite terrible, wonder if it can be updated with firmware or flash. I plan to change the radio and see if it remains sloppy response.
No this 2s version MJX does not have the 5 button push thing, it's not needed though as I get the same speed as the 5 push version so all they have done is added another throttle restriction you have to deactivate yourself🤦
And the delay is infact the esc not the radio, I tested the stock esc and motor with a DumboRC radio and it had exactly the same delay so I suggest trying a different esc instead, something of quality not surpass or goolrc!
And I also tried some different wheels and tested the MJX wheels on another car, basically a VS video, the MJX was worse, super wide wheels aswell so it was even more disappointing😕(Video coming soon)
A better servo would ABSOLUTELY help so I'll get another servo to test aswell👌
@@rccrazy Oh that is super helpful. While I have messed with RCs a lot I have never replaced an ESC. Could you recommend one I could use here? I will order it today! And please keep up the good work with the videos.
It's very easy to swap escs, on this car it's just unplug the original from the receiver and install the new one, bit of double sided tape to hold it in place👌
And I highly recommend a quality brand esc like Hobbywing or Castle, Hobbywing is my GOTO, in your case you would need at least a 50a one, look up (Hobbywing WP-10BL-50a) that will fit and will be more than capable of pushing that motor and gearing on 3s👍
@@rccrazy Thanks - just ordered it!
Nice!
Hopefully it performs to your liking😁
I cut the springs to lower it and the handling is now significantly better! Then I used the paddle tires as my main set because the original set is just too grippy for this small but heavy truggy.
Yes cutting the springs or using softer springs sometimes help a little but with this car I wouldn't want lower it or run softer springs as the stock ones are quite soft already.
And as I said to another person, I am so OCD about everything I won't use such nice paddles on anything but sand or water, basically what they were made for.
Saying that though, I did try less grippy wheels on this car and it was horrific to drive especially on the road😱
It just not a great car in general in my opinion.
Big jumps don't damage cars if it's strong and you land on the wheels but if you can't land on the wheels it crashes, yes?😅
The fact that it survived even though I struggled to do what I was trying means it's tough as and MOST people should never break it if they don't drive thus hard.
Stability it a total difference story, yes in my opinion if the car is ridiculously unstable it's not the best in general and that definitely makes the experience less pleasant.
If all you want is tough then this is your car, if you want a pleasant drive and tough I would look at some more cars.
I got it for 160 dollars do with 2 extra 3000mah lipos do you think it's a good deal?
If that's US$ then no not in my opinion, MANY cars I would rather for the same price aswell as cheaper cars I would take over this one.
If it's Australian $ then yeah that's better than what I paid but still many cars I'd rather for $160aud.
Couple tips with this car. Paddle tyres help the car be more stable. Or if you break in the exisitng tyres more. Delay is from the ESC. Just make sure the screws are tight around the steering of the car. Has abit of wobble in the wheels. Other that that I think its pretty awesome and durable. What other cars would you recommend with the price point?
MANY better cars for the same price and many actually less expensive but better like the JJRC Q117, HSP 1/16, Hospeed 1/18🤣
Basically every budget car including the old plastic chassis MJX cars I prefer over this brick!
The Hbx 2997a tops up this mjx 14210👌
I would LOVE to get the HBX but it is also $300aud for us here in Australia which is insane for a 1/12 car from what was always a budget brand in my eyes😥
No point really getting one now as the hype has been and gone but I may get one to test myself one day if the price drops to a better price.
Got my daughter a mini e revo 1/16 scale has 4,400kv sensored castle motor. This seem slow by comparison but I paid more for the motor and Esc than this entire car. With that in mind I may may purchase one.
I would go for something with some decent stability, you won't like this if you want a stable car.
Well it seems to mostly land on the wheels, it's pretty good I think,
It's exceptionally hard to keep it on the wheels actually, even just on flat ground it wants to be on its roof🤦
@@rccrazyfind a better set of tires and you won't be disappointed. Just by changing to paddle tires it stays on its feet a lot better and it don't flip over. I know the paddle tires aren't meant for the road or whatever but you can run them until you find a nice set of tires that makes this car handle good.
The delay is a esc problem not the radio the radio is fine it's a crappy esc and get the arrma 1/10 body tethers for the pins
You are the first person to mention the esc and I think you may be correct, will do some testing on film to show everyone else but yeah I tried a different radio and it seemed to still have a strange glitch.
Good eye👌
And there you go, that just shows how smart I am doesn't it, yep tethers will do the trick🤦
Thanks mate😅
Which ESC is recommended for it?
hobbywing 10bl50 at the least!
Stay away from breads like surpass and goolrc, they are just as bad and some I would say are worse than this one.
Hey mate any suggestions for a better 12 or 14 brushless 4x4 basher thanks
Hey Burge,
There are not actually that many quality 1/12 or 1/14 basher that I know of unless you look at brands like Losi and Team Associated but I believe most of their cars are more on the racing side of RCs.
HPI have the 1/12 Savage but I have no experience with them.
BUT
HBX not too long ago released a 1/12 with a centre diff, I have no experience with it but it looks amazing for the price, I think that would be your best option.
www.amazon.com/HAIBOXING-2997A-Brushless-Independent-Applicable/dp/B0CKBRTZ4L
@rccrazy Thanks mate !
Your welcome, hope you enjoy whatever you choose🙂👌
Thanks for the honesty review. It's hard when people are emotionally attached to their purchase to the point where they ignore flaws. I've been debating between this 14210 and the hbx 2997a.
You are most definitely welcome!
If something doesn't seem right I feel I have an obligation to mention it wether it's a major issue or something that can easily be fixed or modded, got to be honest👌
And from what I've seen and heard about the new HBX I would think that would be a much smarter option, I definitely want one😅
I have a video coming up soon doing exactly that though, tried my favourite 1/12 wheels and this was HORRIBLE😵💫
Admittedly they are not the best but my favourite for this scale.
In regards to the paddles, I will not use them on stones, bark and essentially not the road because they are so good for other cars.
My paddles are for sand and water, wet grass maybe but not hard surfaces.
Not trying to be rude just very ocd about everything🤦
Press the esc button 5 times to unlock the speed supposed to go up to 50mph
Only on the 3s version, this version does NOT have that feature.
Infact I'm almost positive that the 5 button press is not faster than this 2s version without the button press, they are the same spec esc but the 3s one has just got more restrictions that you have to unlock yourself, this one is unlocked already😅
Apologies guys, quite a long video today.
I had a really hard time editing this down, to be fair it was about 5 hours of footage in total😅
Also, I mention in this video how I think this car is very over priced, it has gone down dramatically since I purchased mine, definitely better priced now👍
Thanks everyone!
this one or 124008?
This is stronger but I definitely prefer the 124008, such a stable and capable buggy👌
Ye I got mine for about $200 which is much more reasonable. Did you have to change the connection on that new 3s to a deans? I have some 5200mha 2s on order for this truggy. Love your content mate. Cheers
Thanks mate👍
No I changed the esc and the 2s to XT60 plugs, I can't stand deans plugs.
I hav the same RC and its far from perfect. But what do you expect from a $220 RC !!
ITS STILL A FUN CAR !!
And its pretty tough!!
Well for starters I paid $300aud and it's still about that most places in Australia, find it for $249aud ever so often when the exchange rate changes.
But for $300 I would expect the geometry to be at least OK, it's not.
A decent metal gear servo which I though it was for some reason, it's not, it's a super slow plastic gear servo😴
And better quality alloy parts, chassis is like 3mm thick but as soft as cheese.
I did swap to a good metal gear servo WITHOUT a servo saver and it was just as unstable and just unpleasant to drive, think I filmed it so may have that video out soon, that's if you want to watch my vids after this discussion😅
Being completely honest mate, I think it is actually the most unstable car of its size I have personally had, I like their old plastic chassis ones so it's not a brand thing I just don't enjoy this car.
It’s pulling left or right because of the slope on the roads are perched for water runoff
I am very ocd about basically everything though so maybe others won't notice all the little things I do😅
And yeah the 2s version esc mustn't have the 5 push feature as I did try numerous times and nothing, no mention of it in the manual either🤔🤷
@@rccrazyit’s slow mode and fast mode. (For kids) so just buy the 14210
You didn‘t miss it. That comes only with the newer version (H14BM).
Yes they made some strange decisions with this car, don't know why they needed the 5 button push thing it's pointless!
This version gets the same speed on 3s as the 3s version doing that button thing, this one is the same spec esc just less restricted🤣🤦
Mine also have problems with the steering going out of whack.
Yes I think the servo may be a bit weak or they have slop in the gears, definitely annoying though
@@rccrazy they are plastic gearing. My receiver box moved forward and cracked my servo. Not even a week in lol
Yes you are correct, I just checked and full plastic gear servo🫤
I think I just assumed it would come with a MG servo given the price tag, even worse now🤣
@@rccrazy RIGHT.
Thought it was advertised as waterproof but when I go back and look they are not 😂 just the receiver box. Who would have thought.
@BDetails yeah the servo would have gaps and I'm sure these escs aren't 100% waterproof😅
Hey
Good video
I need your help😊
I think betwen SCY 16101/16102 pro vs hyper go 14210
SCY is arround 130$
Hyper go is 179$
Aliexpress
I also was ordered Conquer 16102 by SCY
Im waiting from aliexpres😊
Thanks😁
If your asking what one I would prefer or recommend then that would definitely be the SCY, such good cars for the price👌
SCY or SG116 MAX?
Or is it same
Yes same cars👍
@@rccrazythat is expensive
Absolutely, can almost get a good and very well set-up 1/10 Arrma for that here, some of these "budget" brands are going a little loopy with their prices which is disappointing.
Please tell me what do you suggest for that price thank in advance
@@rccrazy that is so sad to hear 😔 It is my first car ever. I hope my lack of experience will fail to notice all those flaws.
If it is your very first car you may not notice the things I mentioned, 20+ years of experience I notice everything😅
But if you or others do notice will make a few major changes so I can help make them better.
Stuff like geometry, diff oil and shock oil is fairly low cost so I will do that stuff first👌
@@rccrazy will i wouldn't mind trying. Care to give few advices on those simple ones?
@kaskalo2 I have not changed anything yet so I don't know what will helps yet.
I will make videos of the changes when I have time to do them I'm just very behind at the moment, I'll try and get to it asap.
Sorry mate!
Did u use the dirt tyres?
They are the dirt tyres mate, the paddle tyres are really just for sand and water.
Can you please tell me what RC is better for the same price ? I'm new to RC ?
Wow! I only paid 170.00,next day! Keep a good eye [on the wheel nuts😊
You do realise I ment Australian dollars right?
They are still $300+ Australian many places here.
And I no longer have it as it was totalled after 3 runs so I'm using all the OK parts for my better cars.
Is there any speed difference between between the older and the newer model the 14Bm model which one is fast the 14210 or the 14Bm
They are both the same car I believe.
The only difference is the one that comes with 3s has that silly 5 button push feature to unlock the true top speed.
The one that comes with a 2s is just as fast but you don't need to push buttons you just install a 3s lipo.
The angry snail 2s battery is not the battery that come in the box right ??
Yes it is the stock battery that comes in the box.
@@rccrazy they don’t give you no option for the angry snail 3s battery??
The listing I bought from it is sold as a 2s version, no 3s option.
You'll need to find a 3s version if you want a 3s one out of the box.
I don't recommend this car at all though, its just horrible even on 2s, so unstable and WAY too heavy!
Hey mate really good run down of the car at the start of the video. But honestly as you said I think the car is pretty subpar for that price tag 😬
Think you have saved people some hard earned cash by reviewing this. Also the gold shell is terrible 😬😂
Thanks heaps Michael😁
Yes I wish I knew it would be going down in price by about $60aud within the fortnight would've waited, ripped myself this time🥴
I know its a bit of a trend these days to say your hobby is your lifestyle but RCs in general has been my ACTUAL lifestyle for close to 20years now so I'd be doing it without a channel anyway, at least this way you guys get another opinion on these always fun RCs🥰
@@rccrazy Always the way mate things always drop in price after pulling the trigger 🙄😑
Can't wait to see the Grom review when your dad receives it 😁👍
@Mick_Au yeah it was sitting on about $300 for a good 2 month before I decided to order, it arrives and the next day it goes down $60, WHAT😱🤣
And dads Grom may be waiting at the post office for pickup, got a few slips today😅
@@rccrazy Ahhh damn that’s even worse lol 😕
Ooh let’s hope! 🤞🏻😎👍🏻
Id try heaver shock oil.
Was thinking about getting one, but i think ill.pass. enjoyed your video.
Servo saver loseded up.
Thanks jerry.
I was thinking similarly but the oil is actually quite thick already and the springs are about right so I really don't understand why it's so unstable.
You would be smart to spend your cash on something else, many better 1/14 and 1/16 cars on the market👍
Not sure what you mean about the saver though, sorry mate.
The car seems durable.😅
My hyper go rc Screws are Loosening after ride how can fix the issue
Good thing there are still some that are worth checking out👍
Thanks mate!
What rc car has dual rate steering?
Any radio system with a dual rate option will give the car adjustable dual rate mate.
Almost all good controller have adjustable dual rate and many cheap cars aswell.
Where’d you get the ramp dude?
All the wooden ones on my channel my dad and I made.
@@rccrazy - damn cheers dude, I reckon I’m too lazy and those kc ramps are so expensive, that’s probably the way to go. Cheers fella
@@rccrazy - was really gonna go for the mix but reckon may go for the new rlaarlo 1/14 now got the o terminator is awesome, so
In regards to the ramps, yeah expense vs what you get with the pre made ramps is madness😬
DIY works out much cheaper but yes it takes some work.
And I no longer support that company but saying that yes the terminator from what I've seen would be a MUCH better option than this MJX👍
Push the red button on the esc 5 times and it will go faster
Seriously😪
Please go and read some of my responses to the multiple comments suggesting this, ITS THE WRONG VERSION!
hey i have a question how many min does the bateery last
I don't know exactly but would be between 15-25mins depending on how you drive
@@rccrazy owh i see how is it holding up does it still work?
@@rccrazy i had a wltoys 14001 and like after the first day the wheel fell of idk how and then it completely broke off and then it wasnt working
No I did not like the way it drove so I used the good parts for other cars like HBX and Eachine cars.
@mansourx025 oh that's disappointing to here, I never had that issue with any of mine and they are all 100mph or faster builds.
Press the red button five times it'll turn it into super speed mode
I have just subscribed your channel looks like fun
Thank you very much!
Hopefully you enjoy some of my videos😁
Bro can i use a 11.1v 5500mah 3s 35c lipo battery for my mjx idk anything abour it i just ordered it is it ok?
5500mah 3s is far to big to fit in this car, I believe 2000mah 3s is the biggest I managed to fit in it.
Check measurements of lipos before ordering as the pictures are sometimes just there for a representation of what you'll get since there is so many shapes and sizes when it comes to lipos.
@@rccrazy will 2200 mah work? Its hard to find 2000 mah as i am from india
There is 1300 mah battery option to should i buy it?
To answer does 2200mah 3s fit, no not the common size ones, too long.
You really need shorty packs if y9u want larger capacity, like race drone lipos.
But yes most 1300s should fit, I have a ZOP Power 1500mah 100c 3s that fits perfectly.
I believe MJX do make a 3s specially for this car aswell though, Banggood or Aliexpress would be the best place to look I think👌
@@rccrazy I ordered 1800 mah 40 C battery will it be ok? And is the power ok?
All the screws are junk and have to completely strip chassis to access them . The slop in steeering aids the screws shearing . I broke front cvd and grub screws also sheared … junk avoid
I don't think these companies put the cost into good screws if they can't even get the car geometry correct
Just bought this for 118 bucks
Also it doesn't have a stability issue we even me thinks it should perform like a 1/10 or 1/8 it can't I had to remember this also 3s don't work stay away from that 2s only it a fun little truck but it not a 1/10 but is over priced
It is very unstable!
It's actually more unstable at lower speeds so sticking to 2s won't help at all😆
75kph is not that fast and compared to basically every other car I have on-road or off-road that do 75kph + and even some smaller cars I have are definitely more stable than this one.
I don't want it to act like a 1/10 I want it to be as stable as I expected for what it is.
What a disappointment. I have seen a few issues with the car from other videos. The other hyper go cars seems so good, for a cheaper price!
Yeah man I don't understand why they didn't stick with the sweet plastic chassis design but just lengthen it and used the newer arms, gears and shell design🤔
And yeah all these RC companies really seem to be inflating their prices on everything😥
It is a very strange car, one of the most unstable I've used even at very low speeds, definitely think hbx is a great company though yes👌
And yes we all have different driving styles, sounds like you may be better with rock bouncers or crawlers, some have good top speed but can drive VERY slow if you want.
I personally am a adrenaline addict but can't drive real cars or dirtbikes anymore so I do it with my RCs, the faster the better😅
But as you said at least you guys get to see what is probably too much for a specific car, I can drive pretty good so I can tell straight away if a car is stable or not and I can kind of tell if a car is a total fail and can not be bettered, like this MJX sadly😕
@lyricofwise6894 seriously🤦
I would never say bigger cars are less prone to braking considering physics tell you if you stretch something you have to massively scale up the thickness aswell therefore with good material strength small compact cars will ALWAYS be more resilient!
And in regards to stability you argued who knows what really but then contradicted yourself by saying "although I've seen some 1/18 scales be incredibly stability somehow🥴"
That's because this is just a bad set-up car in general!
Learning how to drive might be something you try, I have one and it's an absolute beast, and it's since been upgraded, best rc truggy I've had yet, the only thing I don't like I'd the delay in transmitter
When you purposely try to destroy a car? You will.
Well yes obviously but I wasn't it's just ridiculous to control🤣
If you pull the throttle, the car turns sharply to the right, and the straight forward performance is the same even if it's a very, very, very phlegmatic gyro. Three cells out of control in a two-cell battery. Both 1/14 cars have the same symptoms. Anyone who wants to buy a very, very worst car should buy something else
If you are recommending to get something other than this car then yes I totally agree😄
The old plastic chassis MJX are better for cheaper
1/16th is more complete. 1/14 Truggy Jeep is completely out of direct control
You mean the one with same chassis as this car?
A few people said it was better than this, maybe not😅
mjx Hypergo 1/16 All cars in possession.
Hit the little red power button five times instead of once. You will thank me later. We are talking 10-15+kph just for READING the directions. 😂 Great video otherwise. Next time be a little more humble with those directions unless you designed the car they are very helpful and necessary.
No this model does not have that feature, no mention of it in the directions as this is the older 2s version, this did not come with 3s only 2s.
