@@roberthorton1978 What a ridiculously unproductive reply to an entirely harmless, matter-of-fact post from an obvious N.O. fan - with whom I concur 100% (some 9 years later), re: my amazement that this gorgeous track from the still-wonderful "Technique" album was never released as a 12" remix/single by the band! PS: Edited "tears" with "years", D'oh!
only NewOrder at their most majestic are able to convey melancholy, heartache & loss through such shimmering dance music. There has never been nor ever will be a greater band. (fact.)
They were just so cool at the time of Technique. The music was so cool. They were great. For me, it's a pity they lost it so badly after Technique. Best club edit I've heard of this track, it tidies up everything and makes it so smooth.
I didn't get Republic at all. I was a New Order fan from the beginning and went the the Hacienda, their club, in the days when it was just a cool club, and before it went so house music. Technique was one of the best pop albums ever, to me. And then, no more, for me. Suddenly off the cliff face, no malingering, no clutching at bits of grass growing horizontally from a tuft of soil in the rock as they fall. Just my opinion. I'd have loved it if the'yd been anything after Technique.
lecochonbleu I completely agree. Technique was perfection for me one of the greatest albums ever. World in motion was a great anthem and Republic was ok but after that they regressed and became a poor parody of themselves. Seeing them live these days is painful. Especially how cool Barney used to be now he’s a joke
How can I ever forget you You don't know just what I've been through The holiday we spent together Lives with me now and forever I tried but I can't find you Tell me now what do I do I tried but I can't find you Tell me now what do I do I can't find my piece of mind Because I need you with me all of the time I used to think about you night and day I used to feel what language cannot say Oh I can't find you No I can't find my piece of mind without you Maybe you'd write me a letter And tell me why I never met you Our rendezvous just ended in sorrow Without you there's no tomorrow I tried but I can't find you Tell me now what do I do I tried but I can't find you Tell me now what do I do I can't find my piece of mind Because I need you with me all of the time I used to think about you night and day I didn't care what other people would say Oh I can't find you No I can't find my piece of mind without you I can't find my piece of mind Because I need you with me all of the time I used to think about you night and day I used to feel what language cannot say Oh I can't find you No I can't find my piece of mind without you Ibiza, Majorca, and Benidorm too I've searched all these places but never found you
Looks like I am the new kid on the NewOrder block. Well not, broke up with my girl friend 20 years ago, at that time heavily into NewOrder. Could not emotionaly listen to them any more. Well , back together now, and I ended up in extended care facility with WiFi, and guess what, to cope put on NewOrder medicine....
i like Technique and Republic the most of all New order albums, I've listened Republic probably more than a hundred times and i still think it is very special.
+Steve Popelier i've heard Waiting for the sirens call only once while playing along on it on my guitar and i think it sounds very exciting, just as with lost sirens. I think i should buy these last two too when the time is right
New Order will always be special to me. Only issue is that they don't interview well. Way to dry but who really cares, incredible music for such a longtime!!!
From one my fave NO cassettes/ lp/cd. From. 87-89. College in Texas Panhandle djing on KWTS 911 fm clubbing at SRO.. Dancing w diwntown julie brown. When mtv camee to amarillo t o ta p e club mtv when our cable company pulled the feed w a ban...and feeling so isolated different alone andnow. 35 years and counting the venues are gone mtv no longer plays videos and im middle aged.. And no longer feel isolated and know different is great....this track reminds me of where ive been and that l ok fe is what you make it...
I cannot believe they didn't release this as a 12" remix themselves--best track on the whole album! Thanks!
Well they didn't, do you believe it now?.
Totally agree!

I think you've got the wrong person, there is no 1978 after my name.@@lavielemond
I've just checked I do have 1978 after my name so it was me, I was probably drunk and messing about. @@lavielemond
One of mi favorite tunes man. New Order is such a great band.

I could not agree more,my word.
Friendchip.
DREWY STYLA breathtakingly true.
that's just, like, your opinion man
Without peter hook new order is a shit cover band
Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode.
One of my favorite tunes - this mix is a gem. Cohesive, fresh without any of that "oomph, oomph" sound you get in most "remixes."
this is so good love from scotland n this is my favourite band x
Love from Sweden and they are my favourite band aswell
My go to band since I was a child. This track is such a phenom!!!

lecochonbleu I'd beg to differ a little bit; Republic was a solid album...still, Technique was the pinnacle. I'm with you there.

Music Complete is terrific. The instrumentation thereupon is very akin to this track, particularly, although the songs are generally a bit deeper.
I disagree honestly, I think they fell off after Get Ready. Regret is a solid song!
Technique the best álbum of New Order
Low life is absolute second, in this case, I suppose.
Ibiza, Mallorca, and Benidorm too
I've searched all these places but never found you... :)
Me hace gracia que New Order incluyera Benidorm, .... En cualquier caso es un tema que me trae muy buenos recuerdos.
How can I ever forget you
You don't know just what I've been through
The holiday we spent together
Lives with me now and forever
I tried but I can't find you
Tell me now what do I do
I tried but I can't find you
Tell me now what do I do
I can't find my piece of mind
Because I need you with me all of the time
I used to think about you night and day
I used to feel what language cannot say
Oh I can't find you
No I can't find my piece of mind without you
Maybe you'd write me a letter
And tell me why I never met you
Our rendezvous just ended in sorrow
Without you there's no tomorrow
I tried but I can't find you
Tell me now what do I do
I tried but I can't find you
Tell me now what do I do
I can't find my piece of mind
Because I need you with me all of the time
I used to think about you night and day
I didn't care what other people would say
Oh I can't find you
No I can't find my piece of mind without you
I can't find my piece of mind
Because I need you with me all of the time
I used to think about you night and day
I used to feel what language cannot say
Oh I can't find you
No I can't find my piece of mind without you
Ibiza, Majorca, and Benidorm too
I've searched all these places but never found you
man... this brings lots of great memories...
Great job! This in an epic tune and you just made it more epic!
love this extended mix.
I declared it: The Low Life album was a present from New Order to Humanity. As for Mr Disco ext. version, V(B)rilliant!
Foreveeeeer New Order !!!
Brilliant song.
That clavinet sample MAKES it happen...

The best albums to date are republic, get ready and waiting for the sirens call in my humble opinion I did come later to the party.
El último disco está a la par de los grandes discazos!! 😉 Músic Complete!
EXCELENTE!!
Show de musica! Excelente viagem musical
Superb song..

Not sure this is so much an extended version as the song twice? Good effort though...
Daz Pearce Right! that's what I think it is too
There’s a bad sound in there, like a tape about to snap.
False remix, obv.
hum, this fade in the voice get´s strange, this bass is very poor, go get the real one it in the old or in monaco music
It’s an extension obviously using the same parts from the song! Lol
I'm a fan of New Order...so thumbs down....
