Oh absolutely! I actually went with this one as every single laptop I wanted was sold out and their shipments weren’t coming in till October. So, I was forced to get this one. Which is good. I have a full roster this semester and don’t have one minute to spare. I know myself, I’m so easily distracted by video games. 😄
Just purchased UM431D with 16 GB RAM and replaced the 512 GB M2.SSD with 1 TB M2.SSD. Never 7 hours! Seems 16 GB need more power than 8 GB. My last laptop was a ACER ES1-331 COYK Intel N3150 Celeron with 8 GB RAM. Minimum power usage 4.5 W. Now minimum power usage is 7.5 W. I assume the 3 W more is for 16 GB DDR4 instead of 8 GB DDR3L. Have Ubuntu 20.04 on it.
Hey..Can I ask about the durability of this laptop? Especially concerning the screen display!I bought mine four months ago but the monitor has major problems already.I even reset the whole PC and installed a new OS so I don't think it's a software problem anymore. The screen keeps flickering and is permanently blurry on 90% of the screen
Question about the USB C3.1, You mentioned at 2:32. What happens when I attach a Charger to this port? Will it take this as an additional power source like a smartphone does it?
Can ask about its battery life? like how long does it last when being used for browsing multiple tabs and for productivity tasks mainly? Considering to buy this !!
Sedihhhh. Untuk mobiliti memang terbaik. Ringan, nipis dan cantik dipandang.
What do you think if compared to Lenovo S340 - 14API, Ryzen 7, Especially for gaming performance? I know it's Ryzen 7 in Lenovo, I just wanna know your opinion. Thanks
Mai I ask whereabouts exactly are the location of the speakers? (Some confusion on photos) And what is maximum brightness in nits of the screen? Is the screen anti glare?
screen brightness is about 280 nits i geuss and its quite ovious from the review that the scree in anti glare and i am 100%. idk about where the other speakers are.
It’s a shame the RAM isn’t upgradable otherwise it’s been a fantastic laptop for me. The fan doesn’t get too loud during regular use but even during heavy work load it’s quieter than some other laptops (HP 👀). The overall build quality is amazing for the price, keyboard is awesome, trackpad is as Warren said, not great but not bad either. Haven’t gamed enough on it to comment in that respect but it did well on games such Tomb Raider and Watchdogs. Happy that AMD is being taken seriously now and looking forward to them partnering with other major laptop manufacturers in the future.
Thank you for the amazing review! I'm choosing between this and the acer swift 3 and ryzen 5, do you have any tips on which is better? Both have 8gb RAM but I heard on the zenbook 14 the integrated vega takes 2gb to run so working RAM is more like 6gb, do you find that affects the performance?
Seems to me this people are having problems with the display. I had an issue on my old one where the display would glitch out randomly every 10-30 minutes and I had to force restart.
Hi.Thanks for the video..I recently purchases Zenbook 14 with same ryzen 5 processor and other specs... i feel a little rattling sound on the touch pad(clicking sound whenever I move my fingers and remove them and touch again)....is that normal or anything you can help ?
I bought this model in march. It's very good for this money. But i have one little problem. My right speakers when at 100% volume rocks the metal build oc the laptop a bit too much. I was hoping to find a solution. Maybe if u guys know some equaliser for it
Hello! I'm thinking about this laptop. I understand english not very well. But I found review only in english and deutsche. And may be I didnt heard somthing about video editors. But can you write me what you think about work in adobe premiere? Is it possible? Is this laptop reliable? I hope you will answer me. Thanks
I recently bought this laptop and my feelings are mixed , it's great for school and I think it might be okay for some light photo and video editing but it has poor (in my opinion ) battery life and sometimes the fan kicks in when it's not necessary (watching a RUclips video or writing a Google doc) overall I have to say that it's a good laptop for most people but for video editing you might want something a bit more powerful
I bought this laptop mid november here in Serbia and it works sooo good the battery is nice .. it does not lag .. very minimal throtle under heavy games but still can play Overwatch on medium settings between 35-45 fps lowering the resolution gets you to around 60 fps on medium high settings. The speakers are the best sounding ones i had heard on a ultrabook soo thin and light. All and all very pleased with the perfomance and the build quality of the laptop.. But whatever you do... PLEASE AND PLEASE DO NOT update your BIOS .. i had to revert my bios version becouse of the bad optimization Asus is trying to do with this laptop. The thing they are doing is reducing the max temperature threshold before your laptop starts to throtle the performance to cool off just to keep it really cool the perfomance vs temp value is too low.. a few degree less for almost 15% perfromance decrease. so yeah dont update the bios leave it as it is
Go with AMD 4700U, Nvidia MX350 GPU, 16GB RAM version for video editing. Higher res = higher RAM utilization. 16GB should really be your starting point at 1080p and since the RAM is non-upgradeable, I'd pay the extra ahead of time to ensure you can use this for years to come.
@@RAJ_K_ You can run games just fine on lower settings, but don't expect it to stay at optimal temps for long. It is not designed to be used for graphically intensive tasks for very long as it's mainly CPU focused build for office-type usage. While the iGPU and dedicated GPU (depending on what model you get) are both capable, they aren't strong. You may be able to play slightly older games on med-low settings now, but don't expect to keep up that trend for long. In the next couple of years, this laptop will get left behind in graphical capability.
@@gretajuknaite7892 The recommended specs for Sims4 is merely an Nvidia GTX 650 graphics card which has only 1GB of VRAM. Hey Sierra, our review unit is the Malaysian variant which only gets the standard touchpad with a fingerprint scanner but not the one equipped with a NumberPad. But if your variant does have the NumberPad, all you need to do is tap the button on the upper right corner of the Zenbook touchpad.
KLGadgetTV hey thanks for your response. I’m in Canada and I think mine doesn’t have the number pad cuz that is the finger print scanner and if doesn’t turn on the NumPad. That’s weird cuz the Asus website has a picture of the NumPad
