I think the reason Linnaeus gave the turkey its genus name Meleagris, which means guineafowl in Latin, is because turkeys were named after guineafowl, which were once called Turkey-cocks. Do you think so?

In my opinion, Frank is a traditional farmer in a bad sense of this understanding. Why? I am from Russia and our people also grow turkeys. There is one blogger respected by me who ordered eggs from Canadian cross-country turkeys. And on an ordinary pasture with a short brooding period, in Russia it is a necessity, hybrid turkeys, quite fertile. So Frank's criticism is nothing more than antagonism.
