How have you found those Parweld'ers of yours? Are they inverter types? Which rods do you use? The shops around here sell the ubiquitous 6013. For a job I recently bought some 6011 and found they packed a punch requiring 15% less amperage than the 6013. Spit alot though, like too wet a firewood.
Ian, the Parweld inverter welder is fine, but fussy about an ultra clean earth and the settings. I might check the internal capacitors. Yes I use 6013 normally and am working my way slowly through the boxes of rods saved from Uncle Harold's workshop. It may take some time. I believe the designation is mainly about the flux coating. I can send you that extra length of tread and nut if you need it for a press, cheers
