"Welcome to SciCraft, where we have diamond armor and totems of undying before we have wood"
This is the most accurate description of any SciCraft challenge world
and on the scicraft server the first episode was them beating the ender dragon. They are on another level, and I love it.
That mob farm design flushing all the items like that with a single source block... possible since dispensers were added and yet I've never seen anything like it.
This used to be really popular around when pistons where added. Basically, the only way to automate crop farms effectively was to place buckets by hand, so it made sense. When pistons came, everybody was still using this, and I remember people making tones of farms from single water sources for some reason.
@@dementionalpotato before pistons were added I had a design that would split a single water source block into enough streams to flush out my farmland and it was toggled by placing/removing a dirt block beneath the water source, simpler cavemen times lol.
It's practical but IMHO not very efficient. When the game tries to spawn group mobs there will always be platforms unavailable to spawn into. I think it's better to synchronize the water so there is always as much space available on a given interval.
(group spawns spawn simultaneously, but close to each other on a single y coordinate - for normal spawns I don't think the available space in a chunk matters, only the mob cap does)
Etho used to do a lot of stuff like that back in the day! and the reason he did was BECAUSE there were no dispensers lol
The intro is so high quality
And true
I was about to say something about how much I like the intro
You just gotta love it,
It's a parody of the Family Guy theme song.
It’ll never get old, just like the original.
I love this series, it's really impressive how much you can do with so few resources !
Something I highly recommend is playing Skyblock maps, to get in a good headspace for this sort of challenge. Skyblock really takes Minecraft and makes you have to use every single mechanic in the game in order to survive, let alone thrive.
@@TheAsvarduilProject i'll try skyblock some day, it'll change from building in creative mode :D
Making farms with limited resources is such a cool challenge to see you tackle, the use of the water to collect the items is so genius.
You should check out his Sciblock series if you haven't already
The intro still isn't getting old, I watch it through each time.
I know. Something about their voices is just perfectly organic for this.
its still amazing no matter how many times I watch it
Can confirm
it was old for me halfway through the first time. cute, funny, all the good things are true but... meh. i can just skip it so it's whatever.
@@authorindisguise5173 Excuse me what? xD
The water source flowing toward the lichen was a neat discovery. I wonder if that’s the only way to make a single block of water flow in a direction, since usually you would need at least two blocks to generate a flow.
Seeing the minecart timer is so nostalgic. Reminds me of the old ways of boats and pressure plates, or the EATS
Woah bro, you're subbed to Navarone Boo and Ergo, you're like stalking me. heh yah even made an Aimer playlist.
@@Roescoe of course I'm stalking you, you've got amazing tastes!
Actually looking at your uploads, I highly respect the no-click bait thumbnails and consistency. Also a true musician, unlike me (poser). Also liking the Sawano playlist, and the "Today is a Beautiful Day" saved one. We will be best friends in the next life
EATS is very nostalgic :D
At this rate you guys will take up Bedrock Edition as a redstone challenge.
I'd really like to see a "scicraft vs bedrock edition" serie. With the different mechanics they would have to redesign pretty much everything.
The inability to examine the game code and use their utility mods pretty much makes this an immediate non starter.
@@williewillus their are ways to examine the game code one bedrock, code diggers like Rufus Atticus do alot of stuff with bedrock edition
IDK I’ve been playing bedrock since before 1.13 and in my opinion the redstone’s pretty good because it is near identical to the redstone pre 1.6(or there abouts)
@@p1ushyy522 Possible but there is a reason Java is the more popular version especially among RUclipsrs. It is also where almost all of us who were around originally when it launched, why do you think they have bin trying to add certain features like RTX and gave everyone who merges access to both versions? Because they are hoping to lure the average player into the microtransactions of bedrock. As long as I can't build on the nether roof though it's a hard pass for me lol
Wow, I thought the the jump from episode 1 to 2 was drastic.
That mob farm is *deeply* satisfying. Also, my guy is just casually locking a repeater -- something I can only come up with contrived examples for.
The single water source for both flushing all the mobs and collecting all the items blew my mind, what a beautiful design! And I really like the arrow despawn clock, finally something to use all my arrows for. Your exploration of the different alternatives for the clock given your limited resources was very neat.
A ladder would also have worked instead of the iron trap door in a loop configuration since you have access to infinite sticks now.
I really appreciate this episode is less chaotic, it was much more entertaining as a result. Enjoying this different challenge. Looking forward to seeing how advanced you guys will actually get.
I love how this amount of handicaps can only hold them back to my regular playstyle. Makes it much more relatable for me while also witnessing the technical creativity. This new series is my favorite
"Welcome to SciCraft, where we have diamond armor and totems undying before wood".
I really love your accidental instant raid farm
this series is really cool, it's like skyblock in a way but with different kinds of challenges, very fun to watch :D
I wonder how long it took them to make that awesome intro
Probably more than a minute
my guess is somewhere between one second and infinity
Whatever it took, it was worth it!
@@awerelia nah, there's no way scicraft members would be okay with a rate of less than 3600 intros/h
@@bananya6020 they haven’t updated their 1.12 intro farm yet tho, they’re playing in 1.18
Crazy idea to get resources from outside : 1. Calculate coords you want to go
2. Canon ignited creeper to coords
3. Canon pearl to coords for explosion
4. Canon pearl to death point(where the items you want dropped) and pearl back to 0 0
5. Die
6. Repeat step 4 and 5 until 0 0
7. Get the items in the chest
8. Boast about what you just have done
I think Oreo might have just inadvertently made a new sport
Episode 1: don't die
Episode 2: don't die
Episode 3: mob farm
16:30 Zombie floating down on a chicken. 🤣😂 "You see me rollin! Try to catch me ridin birdie!" 😂🤣
That mob farm is incredibly beautiful. I could get stuck watching the water spread over and over.
Hermitcraft 8 : we must build only in this main continent
Hermits : Noo, I need more exploration and grinding spot
Scicraft : 4x4 chunk, take it or leave it
"Welcome to SciCraft, where we have diamond armor and Totems of the Undying before we have wood." 🤣
I absolutely love this series!! It's so fun!
This whole 4x4 thing looks like a real kick in the pants. I'm glad you guys (and gals) are enjoying it!
What I find most impressive about you and your videos is that you found a problem to a solution you had already solved 8:12 and resolved yourself to find a solution for that new problem as well even though your original solution was better suited for the original problem. Truly a mind of a great engineer and very interesting to watch!
everyone else: fighting the raid to end all raids
ilmango: chicken jockey
I really can’t get enough of this series
Finally, a series I can get into. 20 minute videos every few days, beautiful work.
I love this kind of challenges. I hope your channel gets even bigger!
The intro sequence never fails to make me smile
mom: the dinner isn't that hot
the dinner: *the intro*
Merry Christmas ilmango
your comment is literally at 12:01am for me aka end of Christmas.
Love the intro, and the series!
Really fun series to watch
That intro kills me every time. I love it!
using the water as item collection is really cool, nice video
Man this is such an elegant design, love it
7:15 the collection mechanism reminds me of old school minecraft where you had to stand there and pick up the loot.
The things people can do in a block game is insane
These guys are The true children of NOTCH.
Mile's laugh is too contagious :D
Big fan of this series
This is a surprisingly exciting series
Lol watching the armorstand go over the pressureplate in water is a work of art. You can imagine several armor stands triggering dispensers shooting arrows at a player. People would be like : Am under attack!
Hes our SciCraft Guy!!!!!
The entire time the chase was happening in my head plays "GAS GAS GASSSS"
you could build a hole in the platform with a drop into a kind of monsterfarm so you could hit the illagers but they wouldn't be able to hit you
That farm's creative as hell, but so simple
mango: "thanks guys for watching and ...."
bat: *gib*
That intro was top teir
dude what in the actual HECC 😂
you freakin nailed that intro. Seth MacFarlane would be epicly proud of this!!
Its our scicraft guy!
At last, Scicraft is getting sponsored by RAID shadow legends!
Lol
This series is a blessing from the gods
I love the intro!
This is just brilliant
i had this question from a lot of time, cant you use the moss block in the jungle to make azalea to get wood??
I think there's only moss carpet there, on top of grass blocks
Greatest intro in the history of youtube! xD
enemy running around having the pillagers kill themselves had me dying laughing lol
Merry Christmas!!
So impressive as always
freaking awesome. Diamond armor before wood :D
That intro was cleeeean
The best Minecraft intro ever 😄
That mob farm could've been built so many years ago. The newest mechanic it uses is a dispenser. Would that have even worked before pistons?
The pokemon intro makes me smile each time 😆
The intro gets me every time
dieses intro ist wohl das geilste überhaupt xD
this intro ist the best ever xD
Love your videos mango
I at first thought the intro was cringe but I'm loving it
I just love this intro
13:10 raid part is the funniest of all!!😂
that mob farm collection system is really smart
Told you last video, this video was going to be amazing!
I love this intro, it's just amazing!!!
That intro is the best intro I have ever seen
thank you person with youtube enhancer
That intro still gets me
Amazing intro
Scicraft intro is the best
That mob farm will be super nice in Skyblock
Wow. That’s impressive
Never clicked so fast on a video
I love this design
Beautiful theme song.
10:15 A boat is even better than a minecart, because it's bigger so it's easier to work with the water on. I had to do that on a skyblock world recently where I didn't have redstone, and that was the solution I came up with, essentially.
Yeah, but they don't have wood
They cant get boats without wood
That wierd water quirk with the glow lichen is totally something that would be useful in very rare circumstances.
under 500 views gang
dont stop making this awesome content!
Love this intro
I wonder if that lichen mechanic could be useful for anything...?
so when you guys gonna do a complete scicraft musical?
Its crazy how water duplicates itself so much in minecraft. Good usage of WATER MECHS LMAO
we need an hour version of the intro
Ilmago seeing a zombie jockey be like: SUS
I love the low resource aspect of tech Minecraft. Its refreshing, it shows things i may actually exceeded rather than feeling poor with my lower effort farms.
big brain collection system
