This is a good solid video. Does an excellent job of showing how back to back pizzas do in both ovens. Flipping all the pizzas over at one time to compare was a good idea. Very helpful.

This is super helpful. Just had a pizza party last night and the roccbox pizzas got worse as the night wore on. Should have waited more between pizzas...

Curious, how long were both ovens preheating? I own the Roccbox. I find the stone retains heat if you let the oven preheat for a good bit. Surface temp of the stone doesn’t necessarily mean the full depth of the stone is the same temp.

I let it heat up for about an hour.

The difference in back to back pizzas between ooni and gozney is not that big. The insulation under the roccbox doesn't do much as the air gap under the ooni oven is about 90% as effective at insulation.
I think the misconception is that a thicker stone can bake a lot more back to back pizzas but that's just not the case. You need an oven that can alternate spots, which is why the new ooni 24" oven will destroy anything gozney ever made. Not because it's a thick, well insulated oven, but because it solves the one thing that all these ovens should do, and that is just to build an oven with more spots to launch a pizza. With the 24" ooni you will have 4 spots which is insane for a $999 oven

I have two pizza ovens myself. These oven are just not designed for back to back pizza. I have an extra 12 inch pizza stone i use as a door to heat up the cooking stone after each launch. I would like to have a larger pizza oven that can handle multiple pizza back to back but i cant justify spending $1k+ to do that. Your experiment confirmed the fact that they want us to upgrade to the more expensive models that seems to come out every year. Thats not going to happen for me.

Omg you don’t even know how to make a proper dough and how to stretch pizza… do you? You should test ovens if you don’t know how to prepare a product to test them
