Something incredibly saddening to me while I played through the game, was Agent Black. I won't go into detail for sake of not making a ten billion word comment, but a small detail that made this fight all the more saddening for me is the save screen. Each file has one head. It's been awhile since I played, so forgive me if I get the order wrong. Robin Elro Mina Royal Black Since everyone up to that point had been a party member, it seemed like the save files were showing you future party members, and I was so hyped to play as all of them... sadly that hype wasn't carried with some of them, but the fact you don't get black even as a temporary party member is something that shook me a little bit.
man this fight was sad... All her stress pretty much broke her. Then you have to end her... the music before she transformed lit had me saying I'm sorry. Hands down my favorite boss n' character,
I mean, I didn't appreciate getting lobbed around like a football by that chick so many times, so it felt good finally doing it back. It was the satisfaction of destroying Vile in MMX all over again for me.
This was a really sad fight. Despite her trying to kill you, I actually liked Agent Black. Not to mention Robin was forced to take the life of someone - something she actively tried to avoid the entire game.
It's one of the best and emotional fights I've ever seen in games. I don't usually rewatch my videos that often but all of the agent black scenes I will go back to.
it's sad but she had to be killed... To not only be consumed by grief and malice but to be consumed by blue eye corruption AND ivory overload, turned into this abomination in pain...robin had no other choice but to put her out of her misery...
One of the most epic fights in gaming due to the sheer darkness of the story. Right up there in terms of despair and hopelessness with Gwyn in Dark Souls, Captive Pure Vessel in Hollow Knight, A2/9S tower sequence in NieR : Automata among others. And when you consider this game was developed in entirety by one guy as compared to the rest...Joakim is a genius.
The one fight that drew my attention to the game... The one fight who's song was all I had to hype me for the game when it was finally announced it was coming to Switch The one and only fight, that I deliberately made a seperate save file so I can relive this fight (and dialogue) over and over cause it's just so god dam good
Now that I think of it, she got killed for nothing, since once they intercept the Starworm, he just ignored them, crashed the rocket, killing Royal's mind and make you leave the rocket... forcing you to leave Royal behind, mopping, crying, depressed and lost. Sorry for the spoil; what I meant to say was... poor agent Black.
Jason Adjiwanou not true. Royal did two things. He sent the blue amalgate to the sandworm, and also busted its front open on the moon so that Robin was able to take it out.
before you fight last boss you enter in a nightmare..this happens....: Nightmare first boss: Your brother in fury...in the back you can see her wife and her child...Killed..her home in ruins and his heart on a pendulum like he is near to get berserk. Nightmare second boss: The people who the "mother" doctrine killed. Childrens, youngs..adult.. Nightmare third boss: You on the moon, u can't save your friend..you are lamenting it. Nightare Fourth and last: I think its flitz..but no..it was black because u kill her..she was firing herself and wanted to live.
When it comes to agent black, she might be the best villain in a video game in this whole decade,a person who had to deal with a headache for almost two centuries,a sad backstory,a life of suffering, someone who fought till the last drop of sweat, and fought even after her own death, for that, she has my respect. This might as well be one of the best games of this god damn decade.
Arkhalis 1103 I don't think so,Asra Nox was basically Zamasu except instead of wanting to kill all humans, she wanted to kill everyone except humans, and even when she was proven wrong in the very beginning of the game, she still thought that that monster would kill everyone except humans, despite it killing humanity's very own mother Planet, and despite that,Asra wasn't a person with a disturbed mind, neither a honest motivated soldier, she was just crazy with a distorted mind, and even then,Asra's motivations didn't seem very clear(Look, the propose of Starbound is good but the story is too much linear, following a main patter and we don't even know much about the enemies of the game,in comparison to the whole game,it's main story is the most weak part of it),in comparison to Black who hates Robin's family because of her brother, despite their temperaments being completely different, with Black being able to rage and hurt in a way that you almost feel the pain of the ones who dares to cross her way.Black seems a unique character, since I can't really compare her to anyone else in gaming
Give him some slack he was grieving and wanted to go home his last chance for retribution failed he was broken and his sister was all he had left he didn’t want to lose her
Anyone else think the 9:15 segment of the fight is an Homage to the mother brain (2nd part) and Kraid fights in Super Metroid? The look of the boss is similar to mother brain, the screeches are similar to mother brain, the horizontal spine attack is just like Kraid and the exploding balls like mother brain. Oh and the spores are like the Spore spawn boss ;) Maybe it isn't but it would be neat to me if the developer meant it as such!

The Music was perfect. The fight was so emotional.

Vinvelan say that to agent white and Mother

I'd really love if someone did a good fandub of the dialogue during the whole boss fight.
Sperium3000 I'd love if someone could proof read the dialogue in this game, kinda hard to follow and akward to read out loud.
I have a hard time imagining her voice. She’s a person who radiates pure hatred. It’s hard to voice that kind of anger
I imagine like Jasper from Steven Universe but higher-pitched
This game is beautiful. It also made me feel anxious, in a beautiful way.

People say Undertale is a masterpiece, this game is more than a masterpiece.
Arkhalis 1103 funny thing,I thought this same thing when I finished it.
Also Agent black reminds me a lot of Asra Nox from Starbound.

They have something in common, they both look edgy as fuck.
She should've just taken some ibuprofen.
man, this boss fight is INTENSE
God this fight took so long for me. Had such a hard time reaching the top part
Took me many tries as well.
Mother brain is that you?
sweet crimney fuck this is about the worst I have ever seen someone die in a video game
what's the name of the song when you fight against the agent black?
Agent Black Demise
actually its moonlight apparently
Jet Black is her normal theme, Moonlight Side A for when ya punch the seeds in, Moonlight Side B if ya want the Ivory Beast.
Press!! The!! Button!!!!
No...
Oh my God. I was sick of Elro by this point, and then that scene happens. I outright HATE him now.
Give him some slack he was grieving and wanted to go home his last chance for retribution failed he was broken and his sister was all he had left he didn’t want to lose her
Just beat the game today. Back at the house im surprised Elro wasn't all like," Sunflower you know your friend shot at me?"
@@barrybanter8419 your right but you have to admit, Elro was a little bitch during that scene. I understand his hardships but still.
What is agent black vomiting when you defeat her
Ivory
@@OfficerHotpants No don't... it's ivory, nothing more.
Don't taint the innocence of children, please
saddest boss in the game
Dude you know you can damage agent black so she’s stops to recover
This game is a fucking chore to finish and the story sucks so bad

that is a really interesting way to view it. It certainly does feel that way after her transformation.
