@@kohakuaikoI’m not so sure about that, Eva was introduced in episode 1 of the last season and was roleplayed and described multiple times since then and now, I don’t think they can hire someone and plan THAT far in advance

Did anyone else get the impression that Fiorenza was sizing up Jasper as a future recruit for jobs that could benefit from his particular skill set? Her line of questioning seemed partly like a job interview.

I'm surprised Jasper has time to remember he has secrets, what with how he's always telling Nelli's secrets to everyone. Also let's not forgot Jasper also blows up secrets he finds out instantly , like when he learned about Mark in Episode 1 and instantly started talking about it in Abrams domain.
@@NightshadeTS Jasper is a lot more discreet than you make him out to be...Victor is just totally blowing Jasper's private affairs up. At least he didn't tweet that Jasper only drinks vamp blood! I'm sure that is coming sooner or later though. Especially with the escalating tension between Jasper and Nelli. I would totally have ditched that coterie by now if I was a member tho... they are so flakey, unreliable, and have no respect for one another. It is entertaining to watch, but it would be so frustrating to be a part of lol!
@@stormlord4719no he really isn't. there are many more examples of Jasper blowing up secrets as the story progresses, I simply didn't list the ones further in the story due to spoilers. In this episode he literally outed Nelli about her knowledge of Blood Sorcery in front of Eva and even created suspicion over it. He is very loose mouthed with other people's secrets.
@@NightshadeTS You understand that my comment is literally from the perspective of "up until this episode" for many reasons, not the least of which... I had just watched it for the first time. While I appreciate that you may in effect "no the future" in this instance... it has no bearing on this and prior episodes events. Although I think it is funny that anyone would refer to Jasper as 'loose lipped' lol. Having watched much further into the series at this point in time, I still stand by my comment that Victor is far worse than Jasper. This isn't really the place to have a debate which includes future episodes though. :)

@@watersports1381 I haven't gotten far into the series of course so things may be different in the future, but they're using V5 and in V5 lore Tremere's blood is broken in a way that they cannot be a reagent in a vampire+vampire blood bond.
@@watersports1381 in v5 a tremere can not bloodbond another even though they can take a ghoul, it's more so jasper cares for Eva and it's also food source
Very subtle, but I love the way Jasper starts playing with the rose that Eva gave him at 50:25 and the little smile he gives it shortly there after. Then, when Eva notices him playing with it at 51:43 she nervously stares at him for a moment before giving a brief tiny smile too. Such tiny details but so seemingly full of meaning and so cute.

@@pepethefrog6809 Late reply, but this guy gets it. Henrique isn't wrong for voicing his opinion, Cornelius. After all World of Darkness is one of those games that simulate the harsh and often cruel reality of life - just with spookier stuff.
With that said, like a lot of Tabletop RPGS, it can be adjusted to suit the players' expectations and experience with the hobby. I do agree that I'd like a more "authentic" and "hardcore" presentation of the game mechanics itself, but the story is strong enough that I can forgive Mr. Carl's leniency.

Also its amazing how the whole game session, can be about 4 people talking in one room and be as interesting as other session that were packed with action and stuff.
Because sometimes just a conversation about current events, and knowledge being shared-like how Victor commented on how the Sheriff decided to turn his hunger UP.

I love the way Eva speaks and carries herself. Not to mention her looks. Also, Annabelle nerding out over her and Harry Potter metaphors is priceless. I know I'm almost 2 years late here, but as I watch the entire series I hope Eva has returned in later episodes.

As a DM I find it comforting that Jason doesn't do a lot of different voices. Makes me feel less bad for not being able to do a wide range of different voices and accents. He still does a good job acting though. The story telling is very entertaining. Just as entertaining as just watching the characters interact.

Like you mentioned, not everyone is a trained voice actor. Some professional shows brought the expectations very high and not everyone could compare to it.
A DM or GM should know his players, their image of their character and how they like to interact with each other. Shaping voice is not the most important ability a Gameleader should have.

Mr. Carl doesn't do voices like Mr. Mercer, rather, he does personalities. And that is what I like more than anything. You needn't give voice to a character so much as you need to give them a sense of self. Voices can be imagined by the individual players, but personality is key!

As a person who plays mostly Toreador, Eva would have me constantly rolling self-control in order not to spend the entire scene in a beauty-coma. That's one HELL of a stunner.
I'm glad Jasper's microphone did not suffer the final death. It would truly be a pity and sorrow to not hear Alexander Ward's dulcet, ragged tones.

@Halberdier I'm playing with the newest Plus patch, and wouldn't dream of playing it unpatched :D I've been thinking of getting the Clan Quest mod, but I'm holding my hopes up that it'll be updated soon-ish to include a newer version of the unofficial patch.

Antitribu is alright, but it has it's flaws.
As a mod that adds clans, it's alright. However, a lot of content that was promised never made it in, and development seems to have been dropped entirely on it. That said, what is there is pretty neat. Playing a Lasombra or Tzimisce is really fun.
@@theglimpse3785 I have a love-hate relationship with the hotel :D I do agree that it's one of the best levels in any videogame, but I was also extremely relieved when I finally got out of there. I just may have to try that Auspex trick in a later playthrough.

@@Fabioman6 They totally have a point lol. I don't even say anything, I just let the players talk to eachother while they see me writing or typing a quick note. I remember one game, I wrote out my food order on a slip of paper one word at a time over the course of 3 hours. My players were tripping so bad... ahhh good old days! Also passing notes can be a ton of fun if used judiciously.. a short "read this and seem pleasantly surprised then put this paper away" or "those jeans make you look fat, how does that make you feel?" I only used the jeans method once, then a handful of dice bounced off my face and I realized I had crossed a line by accident. :/

I laughed when Annabelle was eyeing Jasper when he was talking to Eva. She knew something was going on and Jasper never glanced her way.
I just love that everyone is rather patient with Annabelle in this episode. Especially Jasper. He takes the time to explain things so that she can understand. When she's being rude, through no fault of her own, she's not threatened or belittled, instead educated. Erika Shikii does an amazing job as Annabelle. I believed her excitement about the different Houses of Tremere. And how Eva looked rather delighted at her energy and exuberance. Even Victor is taking a less harsh tone with her, but seems to understand that Jasper is the best teacher for her. I love these characters so much!
Honestly Jason inspired me to pick up V5 and become a story teller. I've played bloodlines (hype for bloodlines 2) but this really got me into the world. V5 is gonna be the second rpg I ever played besides dnd which critical role inspired me to start
I've been into Vampire and the WOD for around 20 years, almost always as a player. I didn't even realize V5 had come out until Season 1 started on Twitch, I had given up hope after V20. Inspired me to restart as the storyteller, bringing back my old character Korhagen the Gargoyle and my ex-girlfriend's (RIP Kris) Tremere Alana as pivotal pieces off which to base the drama of my Chronicle. Watching Jason really raised my game as a DM/Storyteller.. I always was the main DM for our D&D games but I never noticed how much room I had to grow, too many years as the best gamer runner in my friend circle (at least according to them) LOL.

V5 is great and beginner friendly! I started a chronicle October last year largely because I saw how easy it was to run V5 thanks to LA by Night. Keep at it man.
I'd be very happy for Eva to join the group full time. The quiet and subtle nature of her character would be a good temper the rest of the group's impulsiveness. Plus Annabelle seems to like her a lot so I definitely think she'd be a good mentor for her too.

While Victor's "sheild" may be very effective in maintaining the Masquerade, it's not very sustainable. I'm interested in how he plans to deal with the consequences of being so visible to the public in a few decades when they notice he's not aging. Will he fake his "death"? It's all super interesting.

oh this i massively feel. i cringed last ep when a live stream was how he was gonna deal with things. like wtf dude!? id have made a far less innocuous distraction using your sweet mind powers and hand jasper stealth the girls out. or like.. dude probs has enough money to pay em off. like drawig anabelle into that was very rude and i hope she remains angry at him.
Not just that but a global celebrity who is never seen out during the day, not for interviews, not for album releases, press appearances/releases etc. Seems strange that the Second Inquisition wouldn't take notice.

@@Reven619 Not that I know of, but from what I understand they have quite a bit more freedom than classical Tremere in how they express themselves. Most Tremere uniformly wear black or other dark colors, so seeing one in a bright white dress and carrying flowers is a little odd. But that's House Carna; they subvert the classical Tremere way of doing things, and one can assume that pertains to their appearance as well.
The Ventrue love to talk and the Gangrel Sheriff with blood magic took advantage of this. How intelligent. Who would suspect a Gangrel?
I have one complaint. The "Geek and Sundry" jingle at the end of the episode is always about 10 times louder than the main audio :(

I've been running through season one for the last week and a bit and I've just caught up with the the releases as they come out on RUclips. I had to wait a WHOLE DAY to watch this and it nearing sucked the remaining life out of me. The idea of waiting a week for the next on kind of gives me the shakes.

The Actress Playing Eva is Amazing as I have seen her out of Character and she's very different. The way she plays Eva is what I call the "It Factor". There are Actors and there are people who become the Character and Alexander Ward, and Josephine McAdam are just some of those people. I am not saying the rest don't have "It", but I'm talking about Eva and Jasper right now.
The power of this story is awe inspiring... Eva was so on tremere I love it as someone who plays tremere and poor x I feel for him ... you guys are amazing and thank you for making this show
