Fun fact: It costs Nike more to make the premiers than the elite mercurials. When you buy a mercurial, you are paying for the endorsement contracts these pro players sign to wear them.
A trend that needs to come to football is foot shaped boots. Feet aren't naturally pointy so why are all boots pointy? If you don't know what i mean, take a look at crocs. Crocs are comfortable because they're foot shaped. I switched over to foot shaped shoes in my normal everyday life and i love them. I never got to try them, but puma realized this and their boots used to be foot shaped around a decade ago. They dont do it anymore but im sure a foot shaped football boot would feel amazing.
Am still wearing these on weekend fun football. Needless to say I'm performing better with these as I can focus on the game rather than focusing on my feet and less worried about some tackles. Very comfortable out of the box.
See this is the vibe. Imo boots are better when you can just lace them up and forget that they are there. “Technology” doesn’t make something comfortable
Favorite player growing up was Shalrie Joseph and he used to rock red and white adipures throughout his career and always thought it was the coolest thing. Why brands don’t release these classic leather boots in more solid colors is strange to me. Release premiers in every primary color with a white swoosh and accents and I bet they’d sell twice as many as the “dark blue and green” or “orange and purple” type of color ways.
I feel the same way about basketball shoes. Crazy colorways are cool, but sometimes just having a clean team shoe style color scheme is better. Good to have options
@@colinreese He wore predators at St. John’s but switched to adipures when they released in the mid 2000s. I think when the predator powerswerve came out he might have switched to predators for the rest of his career but he definitely wore red full leather adidas for a substantial part of his career
The thing is business wise for them they don’t see or wanna target the niche audience like us but rather the younger crowd. Nike at least with the premier knows there’s a niche group of audience for boots of this price
Bosh 1st Tiempo/legends/premier whatever the model, Nikes classic leather boots have always been my most reliable performers over my many years of boots, hands down.
Premier's , 1st and 2nd edition gloros are the best boots to play in . To all young players always go for feel and comfort, Buying expensive shoes aren't going to make you play ,, Great Video !!!
I bought a pair of these over the summer. I loved the way they fit and the leather felt great, also the traction was fine considering the small studs. One problem I ran into was durability: The leather started to separate from the soleplate in several spots super early on, after maybe a week of wearing them. Not to the point where they weren't wearable, but definitely annoying. Also, the bits of decorative leather around the Nike swoosh are also starting to come apart.
you played on ag with them? If you did, thats normal that fg boots will fall apart on that surface. And nike boots in general are the least durable out of all the football brands
You would probably don't use leather cream or dubbin after every game then, you gotta take care of leather boots. If you do there more durable then synthetics
I'd wear a leather boot any time as long as it had Tiempo fit. But I'm more into knitted lather-like boots with stiffer/reinforced sides for stability. My all-time favorites are hypervenom 3's. Once broken in they got super soft upper matching leather boots (imo) with better stability due to flywire. Hope you get my point from this 😅
no synthetic has been anything like leather. Leather always has a padded feel that synthetics can just never match. They're cool in the heat and warm in the cold. Nothing like leather, never will be. Also that hypervenom 3 was stiffer than the og hypervenom by a country-mile
@@JonathanRodriguez-nz9nw My Son likes the Puma Future Z 1.3 Lasertouch an Nike Tiempo 9 MI Montebelluna. Leather all the way. Came from synthetics like the Future Z Tech Pack an the knit was super soft but nothing like a Algeria Kangaroo or Kangaroo leather upper 🔥
These are literally their best boots. Technology has nothing to do with performance, comfort does. You can put the fastest guy in a pair of Copa Mundial and they will still be just as fast. And most pros, and good players in general, want comfort over everything. That is why guys like Kroos, with his completely custom-from-the-retail-version 11pro II, have leather boots with older stud patterns. Like Josh says, nothing can match leather broken-in to your specific feet in comfort, touch or feel I never play in anything other than leather, but i will use synthetics to train in here and there
I've struggled with finding comfortable cleats for my wide feet my whole life. In an absolute desperate attempt to finally find some, I purchased 18 pairs!
