Bushcraft Trip - Wooden Rocket Stove Without Drilling - Traditional Swedish Woodsman Cooking
- Out on a day hike with some bushcraft, fishing and cooking. 10C in January. Last time I was disappointed. But now I think its more like..scary. Seems like nature is skipping winter at 59 degrees north this year. Well nice to be able to walk around freely without regulating clothing anyways. Made a bowsaw and tried a new idea how to make a wooden rocket stove. Finished off with a dish called "Kolbulle" in Swedish. It's a traditional dish used by men working in the woods in Sweden. Its flour, salt, salted pork and water. Served with lingonberry jam. So simple. So good. Thanks for watching!
That feeling when your favourite bushcraft youtuber publishes video before you going to bed, 20mins of chillout with outdoors sounds :) thanks, mate! :)
😁 Thanks for watching my friend!
Best. Bushcraft stove. Ever!
Thanks!
How could ANYONE press the "dislike " button? I don't get it. Great video as always. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Tack!
You are the master--at bushcraft, and film making. The forest appreciates your light touch! Cheers from southern Canada, brother.
Thank you very much my friend!
That's a version I've never seen before, thanks for the idea.
Thanks!
Very relaxing video men...i love it
Thanks!
Always creative brother ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👌
Thanks bro!
Good video. I actually found the saw assembly more interesting then the rocket stove, The info is always valuable but the labor was intense to cut and process the rocket stove as opposed to bringing an 2" auger and quickly screwing out the stove parts, Good video though, clear and direct
Thanks!
Alltid kul med dina videos ! Fortsätt. !
Tack!
Nice...👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great video. Some people may not understand the salty and sweet in the food you made but I thought it looked good.
Thanks!
Very very nice job
Good work
Thanks!
Kôlbuller😍👏🏻
👍👍👍
Emmm yummy yummy 😋
👍👍
no idea why people disliked this... i liked it... no talking, scenery, the sounds of the free.
Thanks!
I do. Kids never been in the woods
i thik the downvotes are based on "cutting a handle feels like survival, while bringing a machined high quality blade from 2020 feels like cheating" conflict.
Kids love playing fortnite in their bed
too much effort just to prepare simple dinner, that's why (no offence). from cutting log, splitting, carving and etc. how long does time wasted for that? 2 hours? half day? 3/4? whole day? I'd prefer simple can wood stove, collect twig around and cut to require length, much easier. Anyway, if everyone prefer something easy, what's the fun of doing harder way of meal preparation? right?
Mmm kolbulle, det var länge sedan..🇸🇪🤠
👍👍
yes in this situation it was not really wanted for. Just had to try my idea for when (if) the deep snow comes.
Sau geile idee

Really enjoyed this, that was a neat stove.
Thanks!
That man is what I call a woodsman. The "rocket stove" is made with basic tools really understanding the physics behind it...well done!
no kidding, this was super satisfying to watch. really underappreciated stuff here
This is, without a doubt, the coolest bushcraft video I have seen. In particular, I enjoyed and appreciated the silence. Just letting your camera tell the story, along with the sound's of nature. I will at time's make a rocket stove, but your's was at a whole new level. I'm going to try that my next time out. Subscribed from Colorado, US. Be safe. Roger
Thank you very much Roger!
The silence makes this video much better than others on this topic. It's much more relaxing. And your excellent craftsmanship cannot go unnoticed.
Thanks a lot!
The backlit shot of the stove at 14:27 is so beautiful!
Have a lovely week.
Thank you very much!
Wonderful as always...and about 2:48...a great example of life moving gently, from left to right...good flow...great video.
Thank you.
Thanks for watching !
at the time of blowing, I thought you were going to burn your beard, 😂 very nice video and good stove👌🏻! thank you for the share.
Thanks for watching!
Great video. I enjoy very much with your Channel. Thanks very much for sharing. Regards from Madrid
Thank you!
Awesome video friend! Ive noticed you using the Garberg lately👍🍻🌲
Thanks! Yeah its great.
This is a wonderful system: you blow there, and from there you get fire in your face.
Excellent video 😊 Inspiring, calming, educationel…… and LNT
My girlfriend made me one of these the other day (she's swedish). It tasted amazing.
You know it's proper swedish food when lingon are added on top :D
👍👍👍👍👌
thank-you my friend I love your videos thank-you
Thank you!
Need to watch your mustache around that stove. Very cool.
👍👍 no worries! just looks as it was close in the footage
Beautiful landscape, enjoy trip..
Thanks!
Try!y awesome skills with a Zen flavour, a lovely film indeed. All the very best. Harry
Thanks a lot Harry!
Nice to see the Haglofs LK35 and epic Rocket Stove 👍🏻
Our winter is mild too. Might mean a harsh March
Yeah lets hope! Thanks!
Relative to a conventional fire lay is this torch approach better, especially given the work & time necessary to fashion it?
The biggest advantage to a log stove like this is that you can set it up atop of snow without the snow melting underneath. You can also prepare this beforehand and bring it along in a canoe or on a snow sled to have a quick food preparation option. When it gets going it also burns almost smokeless which can be useful if you..ehh...are on the run i guess.
This stove is a bit more fancy than a standard Swedish torch which would work just as fine for cooking.
@@swedmiroswedmiro1352 Thanks!
what SwedMiro said. This time it was really not wanted for. Just needed to try my idea. Its also a good option because it leaves no trace. Needs not much prepping and cleaning of the ground.
@@Swedwoods Also..its fun!
@@swedmiroswedmiro1352 LOL these days its easy to forget you can just do something because its fun! Everything needs to be explained and justified.. only goal oriented!
Hello my friend good to see you healthy.
Great video I like your meal it looked realy good. The woodstove good idea to speed up everything when you are hungry. Good to see you again. Take care stay healthy with your family bye bye
Thank you my friend!
I see what his doing and the tools he's using i just think it would be better and faster to use an auger to speed the process up. I think this would be one way of making this stove, by looking at it, i'd take a little bit different approach but I'll definitely put this in my memory for later use if need it good to know. Wonderful video too must be nice to live by such a beautiful place and be at peace in the woods.
Hand driven auger would take forever. And it would have to be the wrong size for hiking and camping. The point with this method to just split and piece together is speed! Thank you!
Greeting from Liverpool my mate, another fantastic slice of life.
Thanks!
You make all these look very easy while they are really hard to do in fact. Only thing i can complain about is that you could ve waited a little more for meat. It looked so raw.. epic
Thanks for watching!
OMG man what are you eating... This is so harmful for your organism.
Anyway I really liked the video! Like!
Thanks!
Now that's what I call real bushcraft!
Just awesome and beautifully filmed.
Many thanks for sharing mate.
All the best,
Steve. 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Nature!!!
But... where did you put the snow this year ? scary, the word is right. Here violets grow in the gardens. Winter is gone but... where ? Greetings from s-w of France.
greetings!
Just excellent, well done Sir......Aho !
Thanks for watching!
nice video. a lot of work to deconstruct the log and put it back together. If you want a rocket stove this is what you will have to do. On another video with a bushcrafter saying sometimes you just need that special tool for certain jobs like a wood auger. thanks for the video..
Thanks!
Great video again, it is always so awesome to have a look at your brilliant skills! You do these things with such ease like others brush their teeth. I have to repeat it again, you are awesome! Greetings from 🇦🇹🤠
Thank you!
Do you think you could built a few of these rockets booster to send in space a few of those climate sceptic ;)
Like I once said , you are the Leonardo Da Vinci of sweeden bushcraftmen 🙏
Thank you very much!!😁
Tackar! Småland oftast!
Utt oh, you’re Burning your eyebrows, blowing fire. Ouch. Liked your video, great job.

That moment the pin breaks on the saw and the branch comes at your face with a vengeance lol ☠️ love your videos 👍🏻
Thanks! 😁
Make sure to use a greenwood pin.
Once again an enjoyable video to watch. Thumbs up.
thank you very much my friend!
Nice piece wrk... I understand its just fr a little bushcraft project, but its lotta wrk fr end product be a stove.... best luck
Thanks a lot!
My regards. Thanks for the great relaxation video.👍
Thanks!
Another good one bro. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks again
Thanks for watching!
What is the meal you prepared with the bacon, dough and lingonberries? It looks delicious!
Kolbulle.
I really enjoy all of your videos. Something new to learn in every one.
Thanks for watching!
Flere videoer. Många bra hälsningar från gamla 🇩🇰 Tino 😊👍
Tack!
Its always a good thing i found in Yt
Thank you!
Man I love the job you do, I can be angry, hace enxiery, or bored, and the sound you get from nature just relax me just awesome 👏.!
That is nice to hear! Great thanks!
Dear friend. Thank you for a new vido. Always with something new to learn with you. You show peace and quiet....great. Greetings from Madrid. See you soon I hope.
Thanks!
I kept waiting for your beard to ignite lol Loved the video!!! Always love the new things you do on your channel!
😁 Thanks!
Nice variation on the torch stove! Food looked amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks brother!

Very well done! Enjoyed your video very much. Thanks for posting it.

This is the first time I have seen a Bushcrafter make a saw bow is a rocket stove in this way... OUTSTANDING... I subbed to your channel because of this...did you keep the saw handle...
Thank you very much!
no I always make a new one
Is that a really sweet food? Anyone knows what its called? Not used to sweet meals only in desserts but.id like to try it.
Kolbulle

Love the stove, I have a piece of pecan wood in my backyard I’d like to try making a stove from it, ya think that’d work? It’s pretty hard wood
Thanks!
I like your videos very much. Relaxing and instructive.
Thank you!
Nice Video!
What knife do you use?
Is it a Mora Garberg?
Thanks! Yes
Hate to say it but I think I've seen it all now lol. Awesome as always. Thank you.
Thanks!
That’s a lot of effort for a one time stove! Loved the vid none the less!
Thanks!

thanks!
Always a pleasure watching your videos. Thank You. 🙂👍
Thank you very much!
What kind of food is that you cook there? Eggs, bacon and cranberries? What's it called?
Looks tasty.

Thanks!
Do you have an official recipe for the Kolbulle? I would LOVE to make this.
Great video, as always my friend.
its just flour, salt, water and pork. Mix water, salt and flour... not like if you would make bread... more loose...it should pour out when you pour it. chop and fry the meat. Put aside 1/3 of the meat before you pour the mixture so you can put it on top of the "pankcake" Fry on medium heat and flip it once. Serve with lingonberry jam. You can also add an egg to the mixture for a more modern version, thanks!

Just perfect......that stove was amazing..🙏👏🤝💪...tks for all
Thanks a lot David!
When you build a rocket stove.
Out of wood. And then to proceed to cook gourmet food.
And disappear without a trace
That's bushcraft ninja shit!!!!!!
I am in awe!!!
I'm curious why you don't carry a small hatchet. The utility seems 100% worth the weight.
Made previous comment mid way through video. Didn't realize it could get worse! Everything about this is... NO!!
The sound of the water 😴
as always very good video
Thanks!
Thanks brother! Yes so far I really like the garberg. I like stainless steel actually. Handle is ok but the blade is awesome. I use bahco saw blades.
@@Swedwoods Bahco
You are amazing. I loved the Rocket stove. Keep up the good work.
