Hey Joshua, that's a really rough story. I went through a similar situation. My newly broken up with gf and my good friend who was also my roommate and business partner got together. They never told me they were together, always pretended they had other reasons to be hanging out... At the time I got pretty depressed - felt like a loser for being betrayed by the 2 people that I had chosen to be closest to me in the world. Later they ended up getting married - still never said anything to me about it. Anyway I hear some of that pain in your story. And I'm sorry you feel like you need to justify your side of things so much on the video and to tell people to not beat you with "advice" in the comments. All the internet talk of "you just gotta x." to ensure your relationship, or to stay in control is BS. It's avoiding genuine connection. With real connection you get pain too. You gotta process your pain. On the other side of it, you have new awareness and understandings of what you want and don't want and more importantly your real worth. You're doing great Joshua. I keep wondering what she looked like. I had a friendship with a timid, nerdy girl who worked as a teacher's assistant and she not only dragged along multiple guys, angered one of them, angered the family of another after spending many holidays with them, was dying to date the only one of them who was not interested and gaslit me by calling me her "best friend", while she had short relationships on the side to do everyone knows what. I think I actually was her best friend, because in the end she never got along with anyone and was flaky to everyone. She then joined a religious movement and is still having a honeymoon with them after four years, because they are relatively well educated and connected and present everything they do as very special.

This community was something I had been a part of since about 10 years old. She whispered all kinds of rumors saying that I had abused her, broke into her house, threatened to stab here and God knows what else. It became very clear something was up when people started to look at me differently and treat me differently. I ended up being cyber bullied, received a sex tape from my ex and had 'meme's made about me circulating over social media and all kinds of stuff. Long story short, I left that group that had now become toxic and moved state to start a new life. I completed a Master's degree with a high distinction, got a well playing job, promoted twice in under 18 months to a manager type position, and became a self-made millionaire through some of my side hustles. My ex...who knows, who cares? :P

A really long time ago a girl did similiar thing to me and i too was blind to see it. It wasn't with a friend but i remember the pain and it completely destroyed me. Just like Josh here, she came back later but i wasn't having any of it and I had already met a new girl. I loved when the tables turned. I think that was the last time i cried for a woman, that ex made me into this cold man and learned to never fall too in love with anyone. Looking back at it, it was for the best cause we were too young anyway, now "married" with kids and a dog my life wouldn't be where its at now had that not happened. Thanks for the story. Like others have said makes me feel less alone. 11 yrs together. We moved to multiple cities and states for school. Both finished. Started a successful business. Bought a big house for kids. Looked like we were over the hump ready to live life then boom. She books a flight to North Carolina (lol) and wants divorce. The hardest part is letting go of the future you had imagined.

I'm a 22 year old woman with Asperger's Syndrome and was bullied a lot as a child. I empathize with him completely. I have never had any romantic relationships and am quite inexperienced socially, but I know what it is like to be betrayed. It happened to me in middle school when a couple of so-called "friends" of mine turned on me suddenly. Then the entire class followed as well. I chose to isolate myself almost totally and eventually this led to severe depression and a hospitalization at the age of 18. In high school I joined no clubs and chose to primarily keep to myself. I graduated one year later than I was supposed to. Much healing has been done, and I'm doing well, but even now I still find it be open to others, and I'm 22 now.

Here in Germany they removed a law that would give a certain person the guilt for a divorce. I would never have though in one millions years that my christian wife was capable of such evil things. I am getting goose bumps just listening to your story. My ex-wife flew away on new years 2016 to meet some friends but I contacted those friends and found out that they had no idea what I was taking about. My world shattered that day and it took me years to get my life back. I have two kids with this woman and it was a nightmare to divorce her. Bro literally followed this dude for like, a couple years. He helped me build my computer through advice from a live stream. He gave me fitness advice. He offered his perspective and experiences (through his content). He literally changed my life, and I'm just some random dude in Texas. Hey Joshua, that's a really rough story. I went through a similar situation. My newly broken up with gf and my good friend who was also my roommate and business partner got together. They never told me they were together, always pretended they had other reasons to be hanging out...

My ex-gf (diagnosed narcissist) broke up with me at an airport on a trip we planned together. Days later, she was with someone in this community of friends that I had introduced her to. This community was something I had been a part of since about 10 years old. She whispered all kinds of rumors saying that I had abused her, broke into her house, threatened to stab here and God knows what else. It became very clear something was up when people started to look at me differently and treat me differently. I ended up being cyber bullied, received a sex tape from my ex and had 'meme's made about me circulating over social media and all kinds of stuff.
Long story short, I left that group that had now become toxic and moved state to start a new life. I completed a Master's degree with a high distinction, got a well playing job, promoted twice in under 18 months to a manager type position, and became a self-made millionaire through some of my side hustles. My ex...who knows, who cares? :P

Although it's been over 2 years since you posted this, I'm so glad that you did. I am going through a similar situation. Never have I ever been so humiliated and hurt by somebody I've known for over 15 years. I guess I should've seen it coming tho. I've learnt from this experience and I'm starting to grow as a person. A really long time ago a girl did similiar thing to me and i too was blind to see it. It wasn't with a friend but i remember the pain and it completely destroyed me. Just like Josh here, she came back later but i wasn't having any of it and I had already met a new girl. I loved when the tables turned. I think that was the last time i cried for a woman, that ex made me into this cold man and learned to never fall too in love with anyone. Looking back at it, it was for the best cause we were too young anyway, now "married" with kids and a dog my life wouldn't be where its at now had that not happened. And her true self was only because of her internal loneliness. She admitted in the text and the conversation she was only really "back" because she was feeling lonely--not because she was actually sorry for her actions. Obviously there's always 2 sides to a story, but Josh's side is pretty clear showing her actions were unjustified.

When a man is focused on becoming a great provider and creating security for a family, the right woman will come along and recognize and respect that.
