  • How to Lose Weight While Sedentary or Recovering From Injury!! Here is our video pertaining to week #4 of my 15-week Sexification 2021 that should have posted last Friday. During week #4, I took off from spinning and cycling, and also lowered my daily step goal, so I'd have more time available to get caught up with school and the other areas of my life. With that happening, I wanted to in this video, answer the many questions I've gotten related to how to lose weight while sedentary (inactive) or recovering from a serious injury. I use a bowling analogy and discuss three points that helped me still lose weight while recovering from my 21-stiches knee laceration injury back in late June earlier this year, while I was sedentary and inactive for almost full month, letting my wound heal. Then I break down week #4 and tell how it went. I hope you all find this video helpful, and let me know what you'd like me to talk about in the next week #5 video!! We will catch up by posting 2 videos next week!!

    Hey everyone thanks for clicking to watch this video about week #4 of my Sexification 2021!! For anyone who hasn't yet watched our previous week #3 video where I discuss how body fat impacts weight loss, here is the link. Thanks everyone for your positive encouragement and continued support!! ruclips.net/video/PPiQ2NbIrN0/видео.html

    Great video. Exactly what I needed. I am a male 58 years old with SEVERE rheumatoid arthritis. So exercising is excruciating. I have lost a total of 50 lbs over the past 6 months. Have been losing about 1 to 2 lbs every week. This video was a huge inspiration. Thanks for posting.

      Hi Marc. So sorry for your pain. I’m 60 and played a lot of sport. Result is that I need a knee and hip replacement which also makes excercise challenging. Every six months, because I limp badly, I get a nerve trapped in my spine which is no fun. I don’t know if it works with arthritis but your Doc would tell you, I try and do 30 minutes a day in my compound’s swimming pool. Jogging, leg kicks, stretching...Strengthens muscles before the operations and keeps my weight down. Good luck🙏

    2017-2019 I went through 2 fusions and 3 spine surgeries total. Was in best shape of my life before the accident and put on 20 lbs in the 2 years of being stuck on a walker and cane even though I walked every day that I could and worked up from a block to 7 miles of walking a day. That 20lbs has been the hardest little bit of weight to lose EVER!

    Yah, been waiting for this one. I had lost 20lbs and was on a great path then I tore my rotator cuff and stress fractured my foot. I literally have a sling on my left arm and a brace on my right foot🙄. It has totally derailed me. Then I was told I couldn't do even the littlest thing because the pressure in my neck was causing a neck injury to get worse. It's been nothing but physical therapy and I'm annoyed and discouraged and feel like I'm moving at a snail's pace now. Im meeting with my personal trainer next week..hoping he has answers with my body, but I'll take the lower calorie intake into account too, thank you💜👍🏼

    • @cwd1232
      @cwd1232 3 года назад +2

      Calories in calories out. 30 min walk 5 days a week and you will lose weight faster than you think. Go into a small decifit in calories and get that 30 min walk in. If you don't know how to get into a deficit look at what u usually eat and drop one or 2 sugar drinks like coke and go with a diet coke which has zero calories. Basically swap on or two things out for a lower calorie alternative and walk. And if u want a lot of info go to greg doucettes RUclips channel. Be patient he can be a bit brash but u will learn more than u can imagine. Good luck!!

    • @RandySantel
      @RandySantel  3 года назад

      Are there little moments to get some activity throughout the day? Like going on a walk for 10-15 minutes on a break? Can’t say it’s smart to go less and less since I’m not sure what that means to you, since you don’t want to go too low.

  • @stepbystepfitness3301

    although this is pretty much a great analogy in my opinion it is still a backwards way to think about it. It's always great to be active, but you should start a diet with a caloric reduction (even if you are going to increase activity)..if you see a trend after 3-4 weeks that you are loosing weight really quickly b/c you are so active, then you'd add back calories...b/c if your mindset is to eat a lot and move a lot, you'll most likely overeat..its's scientifically proven that you can't out train a bad diet, you can minimize it's negative effects, but long term it's not sustainable..so everyone to lose weight for the most part should slightly reduct calories especially to start

    I fast Mon and Fri and treat wed as a protein day, min fat or carbs. Am sedentary outside of gym cos working from home instead of being able to cycle to work (80miles a week) but go to the gym 5 days a week and do some jogging . it got rid of my lockdown weight but still technically a little overweight

    Wow. I didnt know you had an accident, must have missed it on your Vid's. Shoot that, omg, was some terrible accident to need so many sutures. The now shot is a pretty impressive Battle injury, left a mark-but could have been so much worse. Took the week off and still managed to lose a couple lbs, that's a WIN dont care how you look at it. Glad you were able to catch up on your school work and have fun with M&D while they were there. Excellent laymen sports analogy of how you loose weight. Totally in terms and examples anyone can follow, awesome. You're doing amazing Randy and you look great. How are you feeling? Keep up the great work, I know you will hit and probably better your loss goals - but staying healthy is the most important part. Looking forward to future updates.

    So i have been doing well as i said before in loosing weight, just by eating bettter. I'm now down 30 pounds. Just two weeks ago, I started in at a gym. I am struggling with food and some things. I recently saw someone say you multiply your goal weight by 12, and that's your calories, and your goal weight is your daily protein intake, and that it's effective for fat loss. I have no clue how to get that much protein. My meal is 3 eggs with a boneless skinless chicken breast. Then 2 cups of mashed potates as a second meal. I'm going to also add soon 2 kiwi's a day, and a quarter cup of almonds a day. The cals put me at maybe 1100 with everything I just mentioned. My end goal is probably at least 130, and I'm almost 190. Am I fine with that calorie intake? Or should I go for that advice? Is it accurate? Is my meal plan fine? I also want to end up building muscle as I continue this. I am sometimes a little lost in reading labels and such.

    Thanks for the great video Randy! If I could ask, I have a very limited diet due to throat cancer in 2018 and the radiation treatment that killed my salivary glands. I can't swallow pills and I know I have to be deficient in several nutrients. Do you know of a powdered or liquid supplement that would help me with my energy levels/ metabolism?
