It looks very well thought out and they've allowed access to the USB sockets as some pi cases cover them up. A future release for scaling would be good so it matches those who remember Mario Brothers.
That's the reason why I was asking you to do a follow-up to the bezel project, on how to use, the features (If any) in the bezel project may offer (like enlarging or shrinking bezels). I too learn visually as well, and you are not alone, on being a visual learner. As Always, Be Smart and Stay Safe.
I love how it looks like a ps1, but we're definitely paying for the looks. I like the Argon one case; it's aluminum, came with a fan and is still cheaper than this case. The whole top of the case is the heat sink and it gets pretty warm. I can't imagine how hot the pi gets in this case especially with no heat sinks, fan, and some people are overclocking their pis.
You are absolutely right. Love the argon products. They are very well thought out snd practical. I just got a version of this with the fan so I'm looking forward to testing that as you definitely do need some cooling or you are going to have issues.
There's a spot for a 30x30x7 fan right on the underside of the disk tray, did you ever get around to installing a fan? Love this case but am concerned about overheating.
How does a cooling fan fit into this case? And if I get myself a wireless USB keyboard/mouse combo, can I leave the dongle plugged into this case's side USB ports?
You sure can leave it plugged in. This particular one doesn't have a cooling fan but they have a version that does. I have it coming so I'll definitely do a video with it when it arrives but I'm assuming it has more space inside to accommodate it
@@OfficialChaseBrogan Oh, I am curious to see how well it does with the fan installed. I already bought the kit with the fans and heatsinks included. Now I have to wait for the Raspberry Pi 4 itself.
One thing that you forgot to mentioning is the safe shutdown script you must to enable safe shutdown to preventing from your micro sd card to be corrupted when you are turning your raspberry pi on and off I'll enable my safe shutdown script to preventing my micro sd card being corrupted
Any time! On a raspberry pi 4 I would recommend retropie. That's my go to with the pi 4 just know you'll have limitations. I actually prefer batocera though as an emulation platform but I use that on a gaming PC which enables me to play all the classic game collections all the way up to PS3.
I'm not sure on the dimensions in there and if you would be able to fit one. You could try these below they're your typical size but just not sure if they'd work. They now have this case with a fan sold together. amzn.to/3dt9G2a
Hey! If I get this case for my Raspberry Pi 4, do I still need to download the seperate safe shutdown script if I buy one of your RetroPie cards or do they come with the script pre-installed?
You won't need to since the retropie cards have a safe shutdown already installed and ready to go. You'll just go to main menu and hit shut down then after maybe 3 seconds or so you just hit the power button on the case. If you're buying one I'd recommend grabbing the new ones they have with the cooling fan included. They're the exact same price. I have one coming for another video!
Can be added but doesn't include one. In this particular version anyways. You can get them now with the fan included. This was before that was an option.

@@AguFungus just ordered mine with a fan as well! I'm sure it's top notch. Even without I was impressed.

If using retropie safe shutdown is already in there. If using something else then for sure.
thx for the video! do you personally recommend recalbox or retropie?

can you recommend a fan/heatsink for this maybe an amazon link? i have this case and want to put a fan in it.

Will this fit with the Pi 5?
Have you tried power a Xbox wired controller on rpi 4?
Yep as long as it's usb you're good
Thx

I clearly see a space with screw holes for a fan

@@OfficialChaseBrogan yeah, but in the video you say you don't have the clearance or the posts to do that
