Excellent overview of Disciple Making and defining that it is every Christian's job to make disciples and not build churches. If you make disciples you will always get churches (Jesus' job) but if you build church and church programs you will not make disciples that make disciples.

Making disciples is synonymous with spreading the gospel. If you read in the parallels of the passage in Matthew you will easily see that it is a command to spread the gospel. It’s pretty simple. Christ builds His ekklesia. This whole “discipleship movement” is not found anywhere in the New Testament and is not taught by Paul.
Yes it was seen…it was the first movement Jesus implemented, he men to himself and said, “Ill make you fishers of men!” Then before He ascended He said, “Go MAKE disciples…!” If that’s not a movement of what Jesus desired then there’s nothing that is! He made disciples before a “church” was ever “birthed!”
