Do you mean G20? If you input G20 in a program, it will run an inch program, but it does not change the displayed increments. If I put G21 in my HAAS, it will still display inches but move in metric per the program. So far only the DDCS V3.1 can change its displayed increments to Imperial/inches. So if you draw something in CAD in inches and run it through a cam software outputting in inches, it will include G20 in the beginning of the program. It will run correctly even if the machine is set to display metric. The machine translates it.
I didn’t say the HAAS cannot have its parameter setting changed. But of the DDCS controllers, only the V3.1 display units can be switched between in and metric. G20 and G21 do not require the controller’s parameter to be changed to run an in or metric program.

@@timmybrinner5250 actually on a Haas you have to change it in the settings I work on them every day.
