I've just watched the Vivid Tribe of Psychics' remix of this video. It's an intriguing comparison between two quite different approaches. Maya Deren is still clearly a part of the alternative cultural currency.

The musical accompaniment is interesting. Had Maya wanted sound with her films, she might have considered a theremin which was available at this time. The image is all in Maya's films.
