I was wondering what kind of branches you gave her. You said what kind of sticks they were but the chickens clicked at just the wrong time. We've been giving our rabbit apple sticks but want to find other kinds. Thanks for the idea on the resting pads too. I'll be buying some of those! I've used the previous generation cage for about 5 years. It's pretty beat up but still works great.
I paid $65 at tractor supply for mine in KY last week. 36x30 cage and tray. We just bought that same tray feeder but can’t figure it out to install in the cage. Any secret to make it stay in place secure?
i got one of these to for my indoor pet bunny i have already accidently broken a couple of the wires from the rest of the cage in some spots but it is still stable but it shocked me to know its poorly made like that i did not buy the tray though as i did not have the money yet is the tray able to fit down inside of the cage instead of under it? because i currently use potty pads and foam pads under her cage but would like to find something that is easier to clean
I use these cages but they must be reinforced when you put them together. If not you will get a big surprise with escaped rabbits. I have used metal clips in past but now my hands can't do that. I use plastic zip ties 2 on each section and that works well. The 30 x 36 works well with nest boxes. I have Silver Fox rabbits.
Hanging a feeder on the outside of the cage doesn't work because a Dumor feeder measures 7.5 inches across and the cage only accommodates an opening of either 6.25 or 9.375 inches so your pretty much stuck with hanging the feeder on the inside of the cage and since I have four of these cages, I find it very Inconvenient.
I used the cage clips and the small 1/2" hog rings on my Tractor supply cages and it made a world of difference . Real sturdy now .
Does the pan really go on the outside? I just bought the 36 x 30 at tractor supply Company and they told me to put the pan inside the cage.

Yep just fruit tree sticks, we have apple, peach and pear trees. They like them all. Glad yours has lasted so long!
Do the rabbits chew the zip ties? I would think j-clips would be better since they are metal.

I squeezed the connecting parts with pliers to make it harder for anything to get in.
How is it holding up so far? Any rust?
It doesn’t get exposure to rain but I’m not seeing any rust yet from urine!
I have 5 of them. They work so good. I love them. Also. Your newish female is a mini Rex mixed with silver marten I think.
