It explains why my hairdresser put a little violet in my colour when I wanted to go back to brunette from dark blonde. Am a light (neutral) skin with eyes slightly more green than blue. I have very fair pale skin, with medium brown hair on the slightly darker side with dark blue/grey eyes. I've dyed my hair all kinds of colours from black, dark brown to medium ash blonde. My friends and family all disagree on what looks better so I have no idea! I'd love a recommendation if possible x

Hi! I am told to take a white paper next to your skin to see which tone is apparent. Also, if the veins in your wrist look bluish, you're a cool. If they look greenish you are warm/olive. As he said.
You could also be a mix if it is not clear

I wear mac's NC 25 prolongwear foundation during winter or Estee Lauder's Double wear maximum cover 1N3 which tends to be a litle bit lighter than my actual skin tone and Mac's NC 35 prolongwear in summer!!

I have light blonde hair, blue-grey eyes and very fair, cool skin with pink/red undertones- but I also have freckles that are quite orangey and warm in color. Would coppery/auburn hair complement my skin tone as there’s a fair amount of “warmth” due to the freckles ?

Brilliant video. What hair colour suits someone that wears dark fake tan? Does the rules still apply to their natural skin or change to adapt to that fake tan e.g. olive tan? Thanks
If you wear tan Id go for the undertone of your tan and maybe concentrate more on what suits your eye colour :) x
I am a cool tone, Veins are blue colored (silver looks good on me gold does not look good on me), Natural hair is light shade dishwater blonde with hints of gold/red you see when sun hits hair, makeup is a light natural base, face and body top of skin has red tone, Eyes are a hazel green & used to change color to blue when I was younger but now pretty much stays a darker green. Could you tell me what shades of semi permanent Purple hair color would look good on me? Do I need to stay with lighter purple shades. Would it look good if I did a medium or light smokey purple shade? Are there any other colors like pink, purple, blue etc that would look good on me?

start off with a semi colour close to your natural and just colour the greys x

I recently discoverd that I am cool true winter and i was shocked. All my live i belived that l m warm, and that l have light to medium skin with warm underton because ashy hair colors and dark hair colors make me washed out. But all the explanation are that if you are cool you should wear platinum blond and ashy blonds and also blacks and all this colors make me washed out . My underton is cool and my skin fair to medium.
After your video i can finaly find my real color . I wil try with the colors that you mentioned, it all make sense now.

😊. Interesting information. Hi Mike.. I started using blond absolu bain lumiere by kerastase, and I noticed is drying my hair even though this is the everyday version, and I'm using it 3 or 4 times a week. It is a good shampoo, but I'm a bit dissapointed. I'll buy Bain Satin next time

My natural colour is dark brown but since my teenage years I dye black 14 years ago I did battle breast cancer and I did lost my hair so when started to grown I stayed with my natural colour but my hairdresser told me to go to black as suits me better and she told me I am 1 of the few people can carry black hair and looks natural colour on me . I am portuguese but I live in England since 1997 .

OMG since I subscribed to ur Chanel and watching all the videos it just made me realised that is very important to take care of our hair and I’m getting obsessed with my hair . I fucked up my hair. My hair was pitch black and so my eyebrows. But I had silver hair since 20 yo. and now at my 30s I got bored and I dyed it black. But it looks way too black. Anything I can do aside waiting for it to lighten up normally by shampooing?
use clarifying shampoo or head and shoulders , that will lift it up and strip the colour. the cheaper the shampoo the better as they are harsh on hair and colour

um... my veins are blue, green and purple..in the same 3 inches. (thin skin, you can see many veins that criss cross.) :/ I think I have green, yellow and orange in my skin, especially orange sometimes in some lights, and green often in my face. (I guess in lucky - sarcasm)
I've tried reddish purple (box dye so.. not a good indicator?) and I haaaaaated it. I looked orange af.
I usually dye my hair blue black to bring out the green in a good way.
my natural chestnut hair looks meh. especially in the sun. brown eyes with orangy looking the light. I love my blue eye contacts..

@@MikeDeCanter don’t get me wrong, I’m beautiful, but seem to have an undertone that doesn’t match? I’m extremely fair, probably a level 10 natural blonde but ashy, I consider my eyes blue but they’ve been described as purple, grey, green or ‘see through’. Logically I would be cool toned because I have purple veins, but I can’t wear 90% of cool colours without looking sick? I definitely can’t wear warm colours though like orange or yellow. I look at my skin and I think I look grey or purple. Cool tone foundations look orange. Warm ones and neutral ones look yellow. It just doesn’t make sense. The closest I’ve ever gotten to a shade match is by taking a deep dark brown tone and mixing it with a white mixer, though it still wasn’t perfect. Any thoughts?
