    People forget schumacher retired for 3 years.... 40 years old.... came into a different sport and different cars against hungry 20 yr olds.... put a 25 year old schumacher in an equal car against anyone and for me he would win.... he pushed the williams then the mclarens every year in an inferior car. People only like to remember the times he had the best car. Funny enough i was a hakkinen fan and since been raikkonen... but cannot ignore the fact that schumi was another level. Watch irvines sky interview... he says plainly he was a level above all the current guys

      Indeed, Michael helped develop that Ferrari into a winning car. It didn't happen overnight. Much like the early Benneton, 1995-97 Ferraris were much inferior cars and he was still battling for championships. And we're talking about against drivers of the likes of Senna, Prost, Mansel, Hakkinen.

      If Michael was like Senna he would move to Williams after his 2nd full seasons with Benetton.

      They also forget he'd already had a nasty head injury from when he came of a motorbike.

    This was only two weeks after Michael's accident.
    And now it's been almost 9½ *years* and Michael Schumacher has never been seen or heard from since. Sometimes it just feels surreal, to not know, and not get any sort of sense of closure.

    • @samuelgarrod8327
      @samuelgarrod8327 Год назад

      It's got nothing to do with anyone other than his family. Strangers wanting 'closure' is disrespectful, selfish and, most of all, very very weird.

    • @Zoxy800
      @Zoxy800 Год назад +1

      Not really. He is a world icon, everyone knows his name. To disappear so suddenly and so violently its an absolute tragedy. He's touched a lot of peoples hearts. He is the reason so many of us loved the sport. It's not about closure, people are simply curious and wondering how their champion is doing @@samuelgarrod8327

      @@samuelgarrod8327 Michael feels like family for millions of people. You may call that weird, but the reality is, that he touched the heart of millions and you can build quite a strong bond through high emotions. One way of course.

    mercedes wernt a front running team when micheal was there..he had alot of ureliability.
    i guess we will never know what woukd hav happened if he had a car that was competative.

      I 've watched the majority of the races from the late 80's to the mid 90's and in my opinion it was very clear that Brundle was fast and more importantly very consistent, reliability problems robbed him of podiums and certainly a race win or two, and if that had happened, with a proper car Im sure he had the potential of becoming a champion.

    It took Brundle a long time to get over his jealousy but it seems lately he has managed. He was bitter for many years that Schumacher beat him but now it seems he has made his peace. Good on him.

      I don't think Brundle has ever been jealous of Schumacher I've seen no evidence of that he has always been fair his only crime is that he doesn't regard Schumacher as the greatest ever which is a perfectly reasonable opinion to have.

      not sure that is a true reflection of how Martin B felt about Schumacher

    So many people comment on how resentful Brundle was of Schumacher. I have to say, it certainly does not seem like it in this interview.

      Well, he was back in the 90s/00s, but time heals many wounds. Would be silly to hold a grudge more than 20 years later.

    Rosberg was shit-house 2012 Michael beat Rosberg on track, Rosberg only won due to Michaels mechanical failures. But when both cars finished 2012 Michael beat him majority of the time on track. And I'd like to point out how many 40 yo gold medalist do we see ? Michael came back at 41 yo after doing nothing. It's not the same as Alonso leaving F1 but racing in other categories during his sabbatical. First two years Michael very much would've been rebuilding for the stresses of F1 once Again. 3rd year he beat Rosberg in reality just not on paper
    25 yo Schumacher would've done a demolition Job on Rosberg
    Absolutely no doubt about it 2012 proved that

    I think Michael once said skydiving gave him a bigger buzz than F1. No wonder he became passionate about it. He was a total adrenaline junkie.
