Thanks guys for taking action and doing something to keep our country's flag flying and remembered. I was checking for improvements on how I do what you guys do for those I help with their poles and lanyards and we do about the same lol. Nice to know I'm not the only one who does it like I do.
This is great! I just re-roped my flag pole using your technique, and it turned out perfectly! Thank you for the video, and thank you for your patriotism and love for our flag guys!
Thanks for the video. I didn’t know how to string up my new flagpole and you helped me out there guys. Bless you for fixing all those flags and flagpoles on your journeys. You’re very inspiring. Hope you get to come to Iowa sometime and ride on Ragbrai.
Thank you for making these videos, I went and bought stainless steel snap hooks like you show in this video. The ones the kit came with would probably break quickly.
I just put my first 25 foot flag pole up and it was sorta challenging.. tying the halyard… thank you and if you are ever on east coast of Florida maybe stop by
I needed to replace my old rope on a venerable flag pole and this video, of all I searched was the best not only in explaining the roping techniques but showing me some techniques that improve the way my flagpole was configured - I moved from the old wooden dongle and rope to attach the flag to a snap system with grommets in the flag - much better.
Excellent video, thank you! The only thing I did differently was use white electrical tape to wrap the loose ends on the halyard. It doesn't show at all. Thank you again!
Perfect! I need to replace the halyard and snap hooks on our fire watch tower. I was trying to figure ways to secure the new line to the old, and electrical tape is the solution. Thanks
Thanks for the vid! Any recommendations on what brand/material of flag to use? I've bought from a few different places and tried just about every flag material out there but i'm lucky if I get 6-8 months out of a flag before it starts coming apart. Coastal California location. thx
I need to replace my mother's flag pole rope next spring and really found your video super helpful! Where do you get the rubber thing to protect the hooks?
I'm glad this will help you with your mother's flagpole! The snap covers are not a standard part you'd find in the hardware store, but we like them. Here is a link: www.flagdesk.com/evcg-312-gray-vinyl-snap-cover/item/1350137
I have been trying to design an anti-furl device for my flag kit for some time. I have used brass washers and bushing and drilled holes in them to install clips but nothing works. I tried the plastic ones for sale online and have had issues with them as well. Do you have any suggestions on hardware or know of any kits that have a pulley at the top? This is a flag kit not a flagpole. Thx. Eagle Point, Oregon...
How do I fix it when the rope is broken and I’ve found it on the ground. There’s nothing to tape a new rope to so… I can’t find a video that addresses this problem
I have a fairly new telescoping flag pole one of the lengths won’t hold after I twist it to tighten , it will hold for a few minutes then it drops how can I keep it from falling ? Can I wrap electrical tape around it ?
get you to come put a whole new rope system on my flag pole? When I moved in here the whole rope was broken and all came down, no rope on the pole at all. the top of the pole does lift down tho. My 1st house with a flag pole and no way to fly the flag.
Wonderful job of explaining it. Maybe you should have actually slowed the hell down in your demonstration though. I gave up on this useless video. You don't show how to do things at the speed of light.
Worst instructional video yet. When you're recording a how to video it's usually helpful when the cameraman zooms in to what the person's doing. I couldn't see anything about the knot with it zoomed so far out and your hand in the way -2/10
I'm deployed in Kuwait and just re-roped the flag pole in our task force area using your video
We just bought a new pole after our last one broke. And the instructions didn't tell how to string it up. So this was very helpful. Thank you!

Great Video! I've always tied my snaps into the rope itself, but this is a much better way. Thank you for the video and for taking care of Old Glory!
Replacing a neighbor's flag today. This was PERFECT. Thank you!
Thank you. This worked like a charm. Without this video I don’t know what I would have done.
I just replaced the rope on my grandparents 20ft flagpole I found this video very helpful thanks for putting it up on the web
Wow that was great info! Now I’m going to finally put my new flag pole up. Thank you guys for the great tips.

Great Video!!
How do you connect the ends of wire core halyard rope?
What is all that noise in background and do you only have one attachment for the flag?
when are the new videos coming?
Just put in a nee system and redid my pole but how square and center the flag perfect ? Having a tough time where the knots should go
Help from East Tennessee
Thank you, helped a ton!

Is that Mark Knopfler working on that flagpole.
I have a fairly new telescoping flag pole one of the lengths won’t hold after I twist it to tighten , it will hold for a few minutes then it drops how can I keep it from falling ? Can I wrap electrical tape around it ?
Yes
Just set up a new flag at the golf course using the same mention
Me too, great video. Thank you.
What if the pulley is missing?

Same! What did you end up doing? 😬🇺🇸
Great video if you would ONLY cut out the music so we can HEAR you
Yes
How Thick is that Flagpole Rope??? is it 8mm?
I think
I want y’all to fix my pole
Why would a flag pole have a double truck pulley on top
Flag twisting while raising
Thanks!
Ty .
Nothing left but the pole
My flag starts to twist when rising
Background noise and music major distraction.
Easy
It’s a double uni knot.
I tape a piece of a zip tie an tape over it
Just use plastic tie straps to hold clips, Dont mess with all them stupid knots..
