Patrice and Freddie - what a perfect combination.
Been listening to this song for 40+ years...just realized how funky it is...today!
Her best track.....too good to be popular!!! (Imagine if 'Forget Me Nots' was all you knew her for).
you' re exactly right.
much like this reply, I discovered this tune recently
I still have this on vinyl,she was a teenage prodigy at the time,well rounded and gifted,still is,before Alisha Keys,there was Patrice Rushien,that's a fact😊
@@demetriusbrown9028 I wouldnt even put them in the same category..I just Saw her last week in Paris.Im spanish but since she didnt have dates here for her europeans tour I went to Paris. Its one of my fav.and I had to see her..She performed this song that I didnt knew and loved It..Shes amazing on the Keys and the band was fire, the voice has aged a bit obviously but she can still deliver the songs great.I think the schedule has been too busy no rest days in between..everything IS live played mostly by her,she doesnt rely on the second keyboardist much and she doesnt shorten the songs, plays Both verses and choruded so the show IS very demanding playing and singing and at times she seemed a bit tired. The venue didnt have Air conditioner and the ladie is almost 70...Icant believe they didnt work things out better.all those virtuoso soloing abd singing she ended Up exhausted with the heat.she started a bit nervous,I was surprised being the legend that she IS but as the show went along she gained confidence seemed more confortable when the audience responded and she really got into it.
We are going to do a rehearsal near Paris october 12th near Melun . Can't wait!!!

There's no need to rush
'Cause there is no hurry
Hear the music of the earth
Life will make the space
You don't have to worry
Hear the music of the earth
Feel a new rebirth
Music of the earth
Breezes blowing through the trees
Will move you, groove you, soothe you
There's no need to rush
'Cause there is no hurry
Hear the music of the earth
Life will make the space
You don't have to worry
Hear the music of the earth

Por el Papa
Back in like 1978, 79 the great Ellis Hall Group out of Boston played local clubs and would always open with this song. The group was of this class so the version was this polished. Finally, after asking, the percussionist told me this was Patrice Rushin's tune. Ellis Hall did primarily all originals so I just assumed this was one of his. Superb piece of music from a priceless era.
Great work
Happy Earth Day. This song is so so underrated...
