Like the trim to the other bushes but i actually like the taller hollys just how they were 🤷🏻♀️ a VERY light trim would have been my preference. This costumer likes it super controlled,which is also noce 😊
Just asking. No specialty here. When you or anyone trims hedges. How come many don't go below the windowsills of homes? Wouldn't that provide an extra clean look? Nice job! Holly trees are to pricky to appreciate. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes they should be below the window ledge. However in this case the homeowner wanted to keep them where they were. They are going to be removing everything at some point and start over. All the bushes are more than 20 years old and they need to be redone.
Thank you for this video!! We planted 4 pyramidal holly trees in our front yard about 20 years ago, but they have grown to 8 feet tall and are blocking my front porch. I'm in the Northeast, do you think I can get away with topping them like you did? Will I have growth in the summer months? I love the trees, but the maintenance is too much for me, due to the reach.

The area to the far left,looks pretty bad. Is that from the two plants touching? I don't care for the open space there,where you can see the bottom of the window but it was probably necessary in order to keep the plants healthy. Will grow out some just fine i suppose. Thanks for this video. I have a habit of letting plants relax more so this helps to show me how to use a more strict approach and also,just wow on the extra light brought in!
does the attachment work better than the handheld gas trimmers?
I live in North Georgia, have a large holly bush and would like to reduce it's height by a foot or so. Is there a particular time of the year when it's best to do this, or can I do it anytime? I don't want to kill it, although it's my understanding hollys are pretty tough. Thanks.
You can do them anytime of the year. It will look ugly for a while cutting it down that far but they will fill in nicely. I dropped somedown about 4 feet and they look completely normal now.
