Hei PeriscopeFilm, this doesn't quite fit in the Oceanography playlist. Actually, a lot of movies in the Oceanography playlist don't make sense, Normandy invasion next to Jacques Cousteau?
@@PeriscopeFilm Great, thank you. And thanks for your channel. Also, please be careful, look what happened to Jeff Quitney. Is like RUclips is gone totally mad with these strikes and takedowns.
Well -- can't speak directly to that but unlike some other parties that post on RUclips -- all the material we post comes out of our own collections. It's all film backed and all of it passed through our hands. In other words, we're not taking things that don't belong to us and re-posting.
Technically yes this is a propaganda film. We don't like to think of it like that but that's what it is. Doesn't diminish the actions of our soldiers though
An extraordinary record of extraordinary events
Lucky for you, we don't allow those types to post on our channel. Well -- we try! It's not always easy to catch them all.

Too bad General McNair didn't live to see the D-Day victory - Killed by Air Force bombs July 25th 1944
