She was expected to recover, but for two weeks in a row I got readings that told me she was going to pass on and that I needed to sit with her and enjoy her in the moment. I didn’t buy it but I still followed the advice. Unexpectedly, two weeks later mom left. Because of the messages I received, I was able to have that important time with her. This was years ago and I still remember how clear those messages were. This deck is my truth teller and it’s what I turn to when I need to pull out the big guns! I purchased the my first angel deck, "Angel Wisdom Tarot." It's Radleigh Valentine's first solo Tarot and it surprised me. I really like it for many of the same reasons you like this one. Sometimes you just want something very straightforward and "easy."
I recently got back into angels and that Angel Wisdom Tarot deck totally rocks. I am using it all the time. My new favorite deck. Lisa, you would like it😀

And he seemed so genuinely sweet and nice. Plus the different themed suits of this deck are awesome. I really appreciate a deck that makes reading easy when I’m feeling low energy.

I got this deck kind of early on and I thought it would be easier as a beginner deck because of the phrases but I honestly think I could work way better with it now that I have more tarot work under my belt.

I have these decks--really, almost all of the DV/Radleigh Valentine decks really--and I LOVE them. My first deck, Motherpeace, was a gift from my best friend in the early 1990s, then a few years ago I noticed these decks and simply fell head over heels for them. I recently added Radleigh's The Angel Wisdom Tarot. It is absolutely amazing. Great review! Thanks

I'm have been playing around with Tarot cards for a while and collected some I love; my intuition has seemed to finally kick in Lol. I choose this deck instinctively scrolling through several decks on Amazon. I instinctively feel that this deck is right up my alley. I definitely think it would be great for a new reader trying to learn the meanings and maybe overwhelmed with the thick, deeper books.

I just told my husband today that out of all of my oracle and tarot decks, I don't have any that depict angels and most likely never will because it's so "Christian", etc. etc. etc. I'm still learning tarot and gaining a lot of insight by watching RUclips videos, but haven't yet ventured too much further than that thus far. It's ironic that I stumbled upon this 2020 video as I've been debating on a really good tarot deck that's made simpler in learning the basics and so WOW!! THANK YOU LISA for this video!!! I've noticed that Radleigh Valentine has some other decks with similar descriptions on them, but they may be ex-doreen virtue decks also, so not sure! :) I really didn't think I'd ever buy this one but it's really enjoyable to work with!
I too have a tough time with Doreen and her changes. I have finally decided that the space she was in when she made the cards was great and nothing like where she is now. She was always a little fear based - she noted it in one of her videos with radleigh.. I do see radleighs name on a lot of things that used to have both their names.

So, I researched 'Doreen Virtue' online and discovered how people felt so upset, betrayed and confused about her sudden change. What upsets me about Doreen Virtue is that she keeps on judging others, not just continues to judge 'new age' but also, other Christian teachings such as Contemplative Christian Meditation, and even judges other fundamental Christians and ministry programs. I hope she can get off her 'holier than thou terror' and accept in her heart that Jesus teaches love, kindness and forgiveness.

The Angel Wisdom Tarot is Radleigh's masterpiece. The cards are nice and large with a satin matte finish, and include a lot of astrological information. You will love it.
I brought this deck for myself this Christmas and tbh I thought I’d NEVER EVER buy any angel deck ever!!!!! But I completely adore it! I even have considered buying a second deck to cut it square just to images which would be my first deck mod ever! It’s just such a beautiful deck. I rediscovered my first ever deck... the angel cards and brought it back into my collection (the original book/box had been turned into a Harry potter book of monsters by my daughter) and it’s just opened up angels to me in a totally unexpected way. #stillwatching
I love listening to you and Dawn Michelle mention each other in your videos. Her "decks I crossed off my wish list in 2020" mentions you multiple times. I was thinking as I watched, oh, trim off the purple sides down to the border on the back (not top and bottom) and it might make the artwork pop a little more. I guess from a printing perspective it's easier to put a border so you have some wriggle room in cutting the card sheets, but gorgeous artwork deserves as much visibility as possible, darn it.
I'm pretty fickle when it comes to borders - sometimes I love them and feel they frame/contain the artwork and sometimes they just feel like they hem it in.
There is a big companion book to this deck, and while it is full of “Doreenism” it does go into the symbolism “hidden” in the artwork, which is a bit blurry (surreal-like) and hard to see. Funny thing is that after paying more attention to the artwork, a few of the cards take on some of the Thoth interpretations for me.
This was my first ever deck and the one that started me on this wonderful tarot journey. I also bought the bigger guide book for this deck which has much more detail on each card and was very helpful to me as total beginner. I think in that book for the Archangel Ariel - Strength card one of the messages was that - True strength is wielded in Peace - and I just thought that was so spot on and beautiful. So this deck holds a very special place in my heart 🔆💕💖💕🔆
Lisa, if you like this deck check out the Fairy Tarot by Radleigh V. The illustrations are brighter and quite lovely. It is based on the seasons, nature, and the stars of the deck are fairies. Messages are all great. I still have both decks with Doreens name on it. I’m just not going to buy two new decks because Doreen changed her mind. As much as I adore my Angels, I think I love the fairy deck a bit more.
I haven't the old deck, and like it. I also have a DV Unicorns, Dolphins and Mermaids,and ( somewhere) Healing with the Fairies, and, like them, too. Theyre a bit fluffy, and I have other unicorn, mermaid and fairy decks tht go a bit deeper,but,they have their uses.
I've had the Fairy Tarot for ages, and it has the same qualities as this lovely one. No unicorn suite, unfortunately! Both of these decks have gorgeous images and I think they catch you off guard with their depth.
There is a Fairy Tarot Deck that I got and it's the companion to the Angel Tarot and you can use alongside this deck as well which I think is interesting.
I bought this deck quite a few years ago when I was still new to tarot, it is a Doreen virtue edition. I also bought big guide book for this deck which was sold separately (I’m not sure if it is still in print) personally it’s not my cup of tea or aesthetic, but it does read really well and I feel it’s good for clients who are nervous about tarot or are going through a difficult time it definitely has a much more gentler vibe without being too condescending if that makes sense.
I agree with you that this is a good deck for beginners and I love the art. I had to rehome mine, which wasn't a decision I made easily, but it is a difficult deck to actually physically see -- there is A LOT of imagery in each card and, although adding to their beauty, the cards are dark. That is a bit of a caveat emptor -- the cards are difficult to see. Instead I find a good deck to use to read for others is Ember and Aura -- also very non-threatening and the images are simple and easy for people to understand (and I can see everything on the cards -- lol).
Forgot to mention, my copy of this deck is the one with DV's name on it, with the shiny silver gilding. That gilding does not hold up well and frays the edges, but I still love it.
Is the gilding really terrible? I’m in a dilemma on getting a used copy with gilding and could receive it in a few days, or getting a new copy without gilding from book depository and wait for a month. Both at the same price 🤔
I like this more than I ever thought I would. I think it is the card messages that are so cool...but I was thinking.. what about modifiying this into a round deck? hummmm?

I actually had the original publication of this deck, but I sold it to one of those Book Buyback Sites because it had Doreen Virtue's name on it. My Angel Insight Pack: Oracle Cards for Inspiration, Guidance and Wisdom actually told me to sell that deck before I even learned what happened to her. What was really surprising was that I didn't even remove the plastic from it yet when it did. I just had a strong feeling while looking at Archangel Gabriel, who was on top of the deck. I don't think I will ever buy that deck again, even though Radleigh republished it without her name. I respect her decision, but I will never buy anything from her or was associated with her ever again, even her new stuff. I think I will just stick with my Angel Insight Pack and Chibi Anime Angel Cards for my Angel Readings. I have been debating on the Angel Tarot from Da Brigh to replace this Angel Tarot, but I am not sure about the choices they made for the angels. I don't think Michael fits the Fool unless it was meant that he was protecting the Fool on his/her journey.

I brought this deck for myself this Christmas and tbh I thought I’d NEVER EVER buy any angel deck ever!!!!! But I completely adore it! I even have considered buying a second deck to cut it square just to images which would be my first deck mod ever! It’s just such a beautiful deck. I rediscovered my first ever deck... the angel cards and brought it back into my collection (the original book/box had been turned into a Harry potter book of monsters by my daughter) and it’s just opened up angels to me in a totally unexpected way. #stillwatching
I *think* there might be a size difference between minors and courts? Or minors and majors? I think a trimmed version of this would be so lovely!
I love listening to you and Dawn Michelle mention each other in your videos. Her "decks I crossed off my wish list in 2020" mentions you multiple times. I was thinking as I watched, oh, trim off the purple sides down to the border on the back (not top and bottom) and it might make the artwork pop a little more. I guess from a printing perspective it's easier to put a border so you have some wriggle room in cutting the card sheets, but gorgeous artwork deserves as much visibility as possible, darn it.
I'm pretty fickle when it comes to borders - sometimes I love them and feel they frame/contain the artwork and sometimes they just feel like they hem it in.
Seeing it with different eyes...maybe because DV is not in it any more. It looks great!

There is a big companion book to this deck, and while it is full of “Doreenism” it does go into the symbolism “hidden” in the artwork, which is a bit blurry (surreal-like) and hard to see. Funny thing is that after paying more attention to the artwork, a few of the cards take on some of the Thoth interpretations for me.

This was my first ever deck and the one that started me on this wonderful tarot journey. I also bought the bigger guide book for this deck which has much more detail on each card and was very helpful to me as total beginner. I think in that book for the Archangel Ariel - Strength card one of the messages was that - True strength is wielded in Peace - and I just thought that was so spot on and beautiful. So this deck holds a very special place in my heart 🔆💕💖💕🔆
Lisa, if you like this deck check out the Fairy Tarot by Radleigh V. The illustrations are brighter and quite lovely. It is based on the seasons, nature, and the stars of the deck are fairies. Messages are all great. I still have both decks with Doreens name on it. I’m just not going to buy two new decks because Doreen changed her mind. As much as I adore my Angels, I think I love the fairy deck a bit more.
I haven't the old deck, and like it. I also have a DV Unicorns, Dolphins and Mermaids,and ( somewhere) Healing with the Fairies, and, like them, too.
Theyre a bit fluffy, and I have other unicorn, mermaid and fairy decks tht go a bit deeper,but,they have their uses.
I've had the Fairy Tarot for ages, and it has the same qualities as this lovely one. No unicorn suite, unfortunately! Both of these decks have gorgeous images and I think they catch you off guard with their depth.
There is a Fairy Tarot Deck that I got and it's the companion to the Angel Tarot and you can use alongside this deck as well which I think is interesting.
Yes! I've seen that one! Of the two, I liked this one better but I can see how they'd work well together.

One of my first decks was a archangel deck. Some of the typeset was off in the cards. I never truly bonded with the deck, and have rehomed it .

I bought this deck quite a few years ago when I was still new to tarot, it is a Doreen virtue edition. I also bought big guide book for this deck which was sold separately (I’m not sure if it is still in print) personally it’s not my cup of tea or aesthetic, but it does read really well and I feel it’s good for clients who are nervous about tarot or are going through a difficult time it definitely has a much more gentler vibe without being too condescending if that makes sense.
Agree totally! It's not likely to be a top tier user for me but it's lovely and gentle!
I agree with you that this is a good deck for beginners and I love the art. I had to rehome mine, which wasn't a decision I made easily, but it is a difficult deck to actually physically see -- there is A LOT of imagery in each card and, although adding to their beauty, the cards are dark. That is a bit of a caveat emptor -- the cards are difficult to see. Instead I find a good deck to use to read for others is Ember and Aura -- also very non-threatening and the images are simple and easy for people to understand (and I can see everything on the cards -- lol).
Ember and Aura has a lovely gentle energy too!

Forgot to mention, my copy of this deck is the one with DV's name on it, with the shiny silver gilding. That gilding does not hold up well and frays the edges, but I still love it.
Is the gilding really terrible? I’m in a dilemma on getting a used copy with gilding and could receive it in a few days, or getting a new copy without gilding from book depository and wait for a month. Both at the same price 🤔

I've never tried to mod a deck into round - but I did once hand-trim a deck into ovals and not sure I'd ever put myself through that again! LOL

I actually had the original publication of this deck, but I sold it to one of those Book Buyback Sites because it had Doreen Virtue's name on it. My Angel Insight Pack: Oracle Cards for Inspiration, Guidance and Wisdom actually told me to sell that deck before I even learned what happened to her. What was really surprising was that I didn't even remove the plastic from it yet when it did. I just had a strong feeling while looking at Archangel Gabriel, who was on top of the deck. I don't think I will ever buy that deck again, even though Radleigh republished it without her name. I respect her decision, but I will never buy anything from her or was associated with her ever again, even her new stuff. I think I will just stick with my Angel Insight Pack and Chibi Anime Angel Cards for my Angel Readings. I have been debating on the Angel Tarot from Da Brigh to replace this Angel Tarot, but I am not sure about the choices they made for the angels. I don't think Michael fits the Fool unless it was meant that he was protecting the Fool on his/her journey.

I'm not an Angel fan but this deck is well made and thought out. it is a hidden gem and one of my first decks. mine is gilded and i love it that way.

They both have it in stock, but definitely wasn't able to purchase on Amazon due to a "not available" status. (edit: I checked Amazon Spain and they have it in stock for roughly 20$, woah!)
