    I love it. The humor and the way you speak, on spot, just my kind of entertaining. Hats up to you sir! I drove the ET7 btw and I fell in love with the car.

    For 10 more minutes, you can keep your own battery, pay less, and have the same charge. Seems unnecessary. - But cool tech ! :)

    • @YBCTR
      @YBCTR  Год назад +1

      Yep! Thats right and its only getting quicker and quicker with those charge times. But it seems pretty smart going on vacation where you can pay a little ekstra and get a bigger battery. And you will always have a battery in good condition too. But yep it’s cool tech

    • @miroslavhavlas1443

      In general, charging an EV from 0% to 90% takes about 40 minutes, because the charging is slowing down when it is closer to 100% SoC. This battery swap actually takes 6 minutes and with the BSS 3.0 it will take only 4 minutes - thus you are saving up to 36 minutes. Also, you actually pay less for the car and only lease the battery - that brings you benefits of choosing three different sizes of batteries 75, 100 and 150 kWh and you do not have to worry about battery degradation. Duding winter times, when the regular charging due to low temperatures is even slower, the difference is yet once again bigger. Now this has been the part about swapping the batteries in NIO cars and now there is additional 15 reasons why this BSS or in other words GRID Balancing Device is the future. 1. it is an electricity storage, 2. grid balancer 3. it needs less power from the grid to serve more cars 4. In the future when there are so called robo taxis this car can change its battery without anyone - 100% autonomous possible, no person needed to plug in a cable and more.

      @@miroslavhavlas1443 Yep true there is a lot of benefits too, but not all cars take 40 min. But you are right those last 10% from 80 to 90 takes a god damn long time 😅

      @@YBCTR even the car taking 30min (the fastest charging ones) its still 5 times more time than the battery swap (6min). And consider that when the battery will be 150kw, its taking the same time to swap. Last but not least, i would not want to have a battery that is only fast charging: it will cost 30K euro to change it when it will die in few years (fast charging decrease battery life, and just look how much it cost to change a tesla battery, plenty of « happy » tesla owners on youtube) 😅

    • @tonygrant3062
      @tonygrant3062 Год назад +2

      Yeah till you battery old hat and lot better ones coming every year , or have to pay 23k for a new battery like a lot of tesla owners, poor quality tesla at that , show me a tesla owner that would not swap for bigger or better battery in 3 mins ... even if just once ever year or two , why not have best of both worlds, a battery you can swap if you want , or if you can't charge as you live in a tower block, flat , terrace street, or can leave same battery in and just charge if you want
