The Frank Miller era of Daredevil is sometimes vastly underrated. It really was a pivotal change in the comics scene. It is what sets up the eventual books that are now seen as iconic, especially The Dark Knight Returns. At least to my knowledge, Daredevil was the first book that had a serious, mature tone in the way that becomes the backbone for works like Dark Knight, late 80s and early 90s Punisher and more. Good to see these books! (Also, just 13 issues from her introduction until you know what happens to Elektra! Such storytelling!)

I go against the grain on this one: I think Miller Daredevil is all anyone talks about. But I definitely agree that Miller cut his chops on DD before he won't over to DC and hit copy / paste with Batman.
I am just sooooooo over the grim dark cynicism that I've tapped out and I really have my fingers crossed that the Disney+ Daredevil borrows from the Waid run. I understand our culture is in a place where we'll never get a swashbuckling DD but if we get Waid, I'd be thrilled.
