The headlights flashing thing is the same practise as per Vietnam! I asked my overnight bus driver before and they flash their headlights for 2 reasons (1) the key reason is to indicate that they wanna overtake on a single lane, for both directions' drivers to be aware, and for the driver infront to slow down just in case (2) to alert others of their presence whilst concurrently saving their vehicle batteries by tuning to a lower light instead of headlights.

Hi guys! I’m from Thakhek but been living in the Uk for the last five years. Your video brings me back my hometown. Thank you so much for your lovely journey videos ❤ hope you have a wonderful time in Laos. Looking forward to see you wander in the south ☺️🙏
Just to answer your questions in Laos if other cars turn on their flashlights on and off to you it means they are asking for the way which means they are asking you to give them way to pass you. Hope it helps x
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n for showing your road trip explorations in Laos. I'm sure u guys have had a marvelous time. D car looked real comfy for a long trip.
Directions were fine - most of the driving was just 1 road!! So impossible to get lost hehe 🤗 but the quality of the road was a bit lower at times - luckily we had our comfortable car 😍🤗
Lao is my mom's country, yes be careful on the roads other locals can drive like they are in need for speed game lol I hope I can visit soon what a great video ! thanks !
I have to say the traffic even in the capital looks very manageable and gives me confidence that I can drive in Laos as well. For someone that does not feel that brave to go on a motorbike in South East Asia, it was quite a pleasant surprise. Really enjoy your Laos series and looking forward to your next adventure. I hope renting this brand-new car for a week did not cost you a fortune.
Thank you! Oh we agree, there wasn’t too much traffic - just some of the roads weren’t great but definitely manageable if driving during the day/slowly hehe! It broke the budget a little but it was worth it!! We bought noodles for this reason 😂👀

Maybe because of the backpacks in the back the car is a bit down at the back. You can adjust the lights with a knob. Usually it's located left of the steering wheel. 👍
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. I heard people flashing their lights at night in laos they want to make sure you see them, Some people might fall sleep or drank driver.

In the states if someone flashes there lights it’s cause u have ur high beams on or they are letting you know that there’s police ahead. Usually hiding to get u for speeding. Your hair cut. I say cut it just above ur shoulders and have them put alot of short layers. Then put some moose or gel in it and dry it wild. There u go a sloppy but net look. Kind of like a beach, surfer type guy. I think it would look great on you. Good luck and safe travels
It really depends on if you use English American or British English. Cilantro is the American version. For example, even in Sweden the word cilantro doesn’t exist, but koriander does. It really varies from country to country but we aren’t American hence why we use our native words for it.
