To be clear Izzy was giving him some serious work in those matches. Especially the one he got knocked out but he became overzealous and got caught.
Yeah, he got caught. He got KO'd. Great observation. Some people will look at the positives in being KO'd and make excuses, but if that's a real fight then you're dead. Try making excuses then. Alex KO's him and people like yourself try to make out that Izzy secured some kind of moral victory. Absolutely delusional.
@@craigr4763 No not at all. You are denying the simple facts that Izzy is better fighter. It's not just what he was doing in the second fight before he got knocked out but he won the first fight and was robbed of the decision.
The whole reason he got knocked out wasn't because Alex was the better fighter, it was because he got over aggressive going for the finish and got caught. All he needs to do is not so that and he wins the fight.
And after Izzy beats Alex you people will still act like you don't get this very basic concept.

Poatan was winning the second fight as well before the KO. Pereira isn't gonna let izzy stand and throw leg kicks like he usually does against his smaller opponents.

i don’t necessarily want izzy to lose, but having pereira win would bring new life to the division and make title fights exciting for at least the next few fights. izzy deserves to be champ with the skills that he has, but he’s just playing it safe now, which makes it a bit boring at times. i don’t need a blood bath every fight, but it would be nice to see something more exciting again.
Can’t stand people whining that “he’s boring, he plays it safe”. Do the greatest fighters fight to be exciting? Or do they fight to win. Izzy doesn’t care if people don’t enjoy his fights as long as he can win the fight, and listen to every single ufc fighter out there they’ll say the exact same thing.
Being exciting doesn’t win fights, tactical awareness,fight intelligence (and in pereiras case), power, is what wins fights

Pereiras record in kickboxing was 33-5 while Izzys was 75-5, doesn’t matter if he can knock people out. Just matters who wins, and Izzy has been winning since coming into the UFC. Alex already has a loss in MMA and he hasn’t even had 10 fights.

Yousri Belageroui is taller than Izzy and he defeated him twice in Kickboxing. This notion that Izzy hasn't fought anyone of his size is objectively false. When he fought Dan Roberts who was the WKA and ISKA super heavyweight kickboxing champion with a record of 16-1, he was 6 ft 6. Izzy dropped him and finished him in 2 minutes.

Adesanya has this IMO🥝 🇳🇿 He has come a long way since they last met in kickboxing and this is MMA, so any previous fights at this stage are irrelevant. He has the championship experience and his skill far outweighs Pereira’s power (they all have power at this level). There is always the chance for a lucky shot for Pereira, which is probably what happened last time they fought in kickboxing but I think it’s unlikely. Go Izzy.
And do you think Alex is the same? before entering the UFC, the guy was champion in two weight divisions at Glory.
