- One of my favorite covers/projects I've done so far for several reasons:
1) IU
2) Shout out to Ellen, Kevin, Kimberly, Daniel Min, MorganEva, Matt, Shanice, Theo, Jisoo, Daniel Mock (from top left corner counter-clockwise) for helping me! The song is complete with your voices!!!
3) IU
4) The song's message is actually one that I've been trying to grapple with for quite a while--one of learning to be thankful. I noticed that I tend to focus on my shortcomings and weaknesses, which of course is good for a reality check of my sinful nature, but I always forget again and again about God's goodness towards me. I hope you keep this in mind as you listen to this English adaptation! :)

I came here after hearing about it on GP999. Regardless, this cover was so good, that if I didn’t know about it, I would have guessed it was a Disney song.

You have done a service to all IU fans who know lyrics and storyline are important, but struggle to make sense of awkward translations... I would love for IU to come to the west and sing this in English with the backing of a major orchestra and movie background... fingers crossed for that day

Being a UAENA since 2011, I must say JiEun noona is notorious of "owning" her songs, and by owning it means an attempt to cover it will really be compared to her original... But this one, (you're soooo goood) you didn't gave us an alternative or a cover, you give us its partner. The message was well intact and we can really feel the sincerity behind the song itself, you do know why IU can make the best out of this song because it is her experience, and it seems like you experienced it too... The music you made really connects with the listeners.. In behalf of all ma-aenas and Uaenas thank you so much for this.

I'm generally very doubtful of english covers but the english adaptation lyrics were done so beautifully. I don't understand Korean so when listening to IU's song I read the translation (which makes me a bit sad) so I'm so glad to hear an amazingly done english adapation.
It feels like you embraced the song and put a part of yourself in it whilst keeping it true to the original. I am really in awe!

Usually I don’t listen to English covers because the translation may sound awkward or the message feels different but you’ve done it perfectly and really beautifully. I really can see images in my head while listening to this. Also beautiful voices! Great job!!!!!

OMG, this is the best cover I have seen it all. I like how you used the low key and the high-pitched key right when it was needed. And how at the high-note you reached the perfect pitch and how you made your voice vibrate during the pitches and your voice to sound clear & smooth during the low tempered voices. What I did notice was when you did the last chorus, your voice did get a little bit higher than it should have. But in rest, it was all perfect. BEST COVER. KEEP IT UP CAUSE YOU'RE SO TALENTED.

Honestly, I should be the one asking for advice since this is the first video I've received such an amazing response on lol, but depends on what kind of advice you're looking for! I think learning to mix/produce is a good idea, otherwise you could go the simple route with just a nice camera, your voice, and a guitar/piano/uke, etc. An eye-catching thumbnail is more important than I thought, like something big and in action. Following certain formats of other big RUclips artists has been helpful for me.

Been 2 years, but I can't believe I stumbled upon this incredible cover of one of my favourite IU songs just now. The arrangement is so well-made, the lyrics are superbly translated (coming from a Korean who also loves to translate K-pop lyrics into English lol), and your collective musicalities and tone qualities are through the roof. Takes me back to the dark days of the height of the pandemic -- this video must have served as a beacon of hope that so many people needed. Thank you so much for this. (Edit: typo haha)

Love the way you stayed to the story of the song ( some English covers change the whole story and make their own lyrics instead of translating the original) and this translation actually is like the original song. Love the cover!
