Im a Doctor myself.working in Private sector.Its not that in Nagaland we dont have Doctors or shortage of doctors.We have young doctors lots but the problem is Health Ministry doesnt appoint or recruit regular Doctors.Nor they conduct PSC exam for Doctors.They appoint doctors on contractual basis only ( where salary is meagre with delayed salary system ) so we prefer working in Private hospitals and NGOs. Thats the sad reality of Nagaland Health system.
Why Student's Union & Village Council are not appealing to higher authority. So sad to hear that Lakhuti Village Chairman didn't know what really is happening in PHC . High time to remove such type of leader.
Maybe during election thy v taken some privilege that's y thy cnt raise voice,it's nt new everywhere n nagaland problem s same.so we v to elect leader without taking anything.

In Nagaland, there is saturation of doctors at Dimapur and Kohima whereas there is lack of doctors in other districts. Its not the fault of doctors. Its the fault of the policy makers or the public (hope you understand why ‘public’ comes into the picture) for not recruiting doctors and for not strengthening and updating the healthcare system. Because of this many good doctors have even changed their profession which is not a good sign for a good healthcare system. And we can’t blame them either. Nagaland has the most failed healthcare system in India. 🤮
Like any system …. If there were Lateral entry for Specialists Drs and not merged entry level, will All ChC and PHC get specialist access. Otherwise, imagine a fresh graduate just out of completion of internship with a good political support, comes and replaces a General Surgeon in District Hosp. Will that be fair for that surgeon to go to PHC where there is nothing. On top of that, can the person replacing the specialist do what the replaced Dr was doing. If only Nepotism & Politics are debugged , will any govt system work. Otherwise, in 100 yrs or more, this is going to stay. Have you seen any changes since 30-40 yrs? Nope…. Change the Head of the State, and see the changes. One man cannot change the destiny of lakhs of youth .
Please… expose all department in Nagaland state… and submit report to the Centre. By passing our State hands will do something good for our ppl since, the State govt will try to paint the picture differently!
It's just a weakness of the particular villagers.. They are waiting for a miracle to occur ... In times of election they can fight to kill eachother for their candidates but they can never fight/raise their voice till their right is achieved/delivered...stay the same👍
