I got El Fuego down to about 1/4 hp before I ran out of other enemies to get invulnerability off of and he took me down. It was a Shotgun/Grenade barrel spam build with nosferatu blood mag, health charm, lightweight grip for reloading xp, AI stock, 360 hellspitter barrel for move speed, and instant reload mag rack. Got an achievement at the start of the El Fuego fight for dealing 100+ Mil dmg in a run.

More Movement Speed, Knockback, Regen, Ability Recharge Rate.
The Barrens are great for farming levels because of all the Bees.

Yeah trouble is even with those kind of builds pre-patch if you got all the bits needed then you didn't have enough movement speed. Tried it quite a few times lol. Even the broken builds with massive damage didn't work as the bullets need to travel to build up damage and they can't do that if you hitting him constantly lol

yea way way too much HP saw a video of guy using slow enemies down bubble on drone and crosshairs to keep him on Boss but I still have stuff to grind best of luck =)
