Can someone tell me the difference between the 3 - 5 minutes for a long steep ( @0:56 ) and the 3 - 5 minutes for a short steep ( @1:35 )?

It depends on your perception of time, younger generations will think 3-5 min is a long time, older generations not so much.

Why can't the infuser be left in? Can the tea leaves be reused once or twice throughout the day?

Hi Michael! Yes, you can leave the infuser in the bottle. The tea leaves can be reused 2-3 times throughout the day.

Do be careful with this. Some teas ( Especially black teas ) can get bitter if steeped too long.
