Nice. I'm still on the fence with AWD trucks. Something about RWD just seems cool to me, regardless of traction benefits. But then again they're not racing to have fun, they're trying to win, so it's a big advantage
Yeah the 4 wheel drive trucks have a lot of reliability issues. They're faster and more responsive in the quick courses without as much distance but I'd be really surprised if one could make it through a 1000.
@@PunishedByRobots The day that they make a 4 wheel drive trophy truck last for 1200 miles is the day a 4 wheel drive trophy truck will end up on the podium in the winner's circle. If someone can make it last, it's gonna kick ass!!!! However, If Toyota would put their resources/efforts into this game again I think we would see it happen much sooner. ( But of course Toyota will not use a live axle in their example, it would be 4 wheel independent suspension very similar to their 001 truck that dominated the desert in the 80's,and you can take that to the bank!) You should look that up!😉
What happened to the Huseman truck? I was just thinking about it the other day and couldn't find anything on RDC, seemed like he raced it for only a handful of races before going to the Mason truck and I haven't seen it since.
His suspension didn't look like right, it wasn't balanced towards the rear. Front end appeared to sit too much in the stroke( soft). And wasn't rebounding fast enough. 4wd looks like you spend less time going sideways, it's the future as soon as they can make to last whole race.

Potts racing is using it now.
