Chris Gray plays the Father Willis organ on the anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne

  • Today marks the 69th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne, and our director of music Christopher Gray plays a piece by Max Reger (1873-1916) on the cathedral Father Willis organ. Titled Variationen und Fuge über ‘Heil unserm König, Heil’ ‘Variations and Fugue on The English National Anthem’.
    Truro Cathedral is a self-funded organisation and relies on public donations to meet costs, especially after having been significantly financially affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
