An absolutely glorious video! I moved to Brighton in July 1959 when aged six, and left in August 1971 aged eighteen. Much has now changed - some completely - and yet much else still remains essentially as I remember it. Very many thanks for filming and posting!
Great video ,I cannot imagine living anywhere else ,I know it has changed over recent years but it still retains it's charm which you clearly show ,I just pray the place does not go through drastic changes like the rest of the UK where violence seems at the forefront ,in Brighton we have so much to offer ,hidden sandy beaches if you prefer ,wonderful country and woodland walks ,the South Downs ,the nightlife catering for all genders ,a great choice of restaurants and the Marina ,plus being a dog orientated city ,with pet shops a dog hotel with swimming pool and nearby dog cemetery .not to forget the friendliest of people .!
I love brighton. I used to live there andI miss it a lot. It is very calm place to live / visit. i am full of hopes I will movebback soon. (probably in spring 2018)
Hi there, I've just made a 4k gopro walk of Brighton but didn't get to travel around some of the the same areas, so it's lovely to have your well filmed eye view and your insights too. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed traveling along with you and have subscribed.
Thank you for a beautiful video. It took me back to my childhood, staying with relatives in Hove (later in Brighton), starting in about 1948,I think. I think some of your video is actually shot in Hove, neighboring Brighton to the west, but the seafront is continuous, so it's sometimes hard to notice the "boundary"! I hope the liveliness and charm of Brighton has survived the pandemic. It's a great place to live and visit.
Good points (1) Yes the countryside around Brighton is beautiful (2) Lot's of history (3) You will find it has a more eclectic mix of restaurants than any city in USA. Bad points (1)It is an expensive place, and (2) Has a bad crime problem.
This Brighton- England recall to me my Brighton-Beach in Coney Island, where I live as if I saw dream or was on other planet. Everything is different: people, land, beach, sea; no comparison, as day and night
So Brighton beach in Coney Island is named after Brighton of England. What a beautiful city. I would love to visit. Forget London, it’s overrated like NYC.
I was born in Brighton and know just about every inch of it. It was once a great town but it's now a dirty city full of graffiti, litter and rough sleepers. The council are the main culprits.

@@peterfeltham5612 according to Numbeo, Brighton is one of the safest places to live in the UK. The crime rate doesn't seem to be bad at all.

Very expensive bro. The lowest you'll pay to rent a studio flat is 500 or if you want to pay less you opt for a house share
thanks

True story; Brighton pier was bombed by German Luftwaffe during the 2nd word war. Seems to have made a nice recovery.
But it was a different pier then you know the black building thing in the sea that was the old pier that burned down around ten years ago
I live in Brighton, but in the north of Brighton

Turn the stoney beach into a sandy beach and get rid of the high rise flats and it would be much better.
You cant just turn a stoney beach into a sandy beach
It prevents erosion. Break the waves

Explorer Jack thank s
but the stoney beach is unforgivable, hidous.
