Despite the controversy at its launch I’ve been running a 4070ti with a 13700k and it is a fantastic card. I’ve been mostly playing on an ultrawide 3440x1440 and some on a 4K tv and it is really Impressive for the price (compared to current GPU market) obviously still too expensive but at this point I think it’s the best value for a higher end card
so i currently have 3070ti ftw3 ultra and 5900x cpu with 32gb ram and 850w psu is 4070ti best upgrade option? (i have 3440x1440p 35'(170hz) also have 32@ (75hz) 4k monitor at side
@@ryzendave9303 I think “best option” is subjective because if price isn’t a factor than obviously 4090/4080 would be better but for the price the 4070ti with the 5900x should be a very good upgrade over the 3070 at those resolutions. Also I’ve only ever had Nvidia cards and I like the features and software so maybe an AMD card is better at that price range in some ways but I just can’t speak to that personally
@@ryzendave9303 really low power consumption and at 1440p the fps you’ll get is outstanding. Only problem is the memory which down the line can be a problem with less optimized games. If you can sell that 3070ti for about 400-500 bucks then go for it.
Just built my own budget PC for the very first time. Worked first time with no problems. What a feeling. Genuinely inspired by PC Centric and I’m so glad I watched the build vids 👍🏼
I had the chance to sold my 3060Ti for almost $500 and bought an RX 6800 for the same price and I was blown away by the gains, that paired with a 5800x3D will surely last me this entire gen and I can save up for 5000 series
Really useful this one Marcus - thank you! I've just built my first PC and am running it on the IGPU while I get some funds together for the card, so this was a great consideration piece for the options I'm looking at currently!
I'm about to be in the same situation. Settled on a 5600G that I'll keep as my CPU when I move to dedicated. After watching this video, it's looking like I'll be saving towards a 6700 XT.
Built my first pc end of last year with a 13600k and a rx 6900xt, playing on an ultawide 1440p, 144hz monitor, performance is amazing. I wasn't actually aware the 6900xt was considered high end, or that it was comfortable running 4k, but I'm happy with my ultrawide. Easier on the gpu, and more screen space make for immersive gaming
You have been soo much helpful mate. I have decided to mention you in every blog. I wish you a bright future bro, hope you become the biggest pc based channel. Thank you for making me such a computer nerd 😄. Really appreciate the information you give and you even make it more fun and interesting. If I get on RUclips some day it will be an absolute pleasure/fun to collaborate with you man. Thank you again ^_^ Edit - corrected grammatical errors =_=
I have an Asus Dual RTX 3060 ti and I think this will last me for anything ill ever need for years to come! Great video. Still good to see the 3060 ti is still doing great!
I also got that one and its great also 3060ti work great with 5600 5600x if i would got like 3070 i was needed to buy 5700x so 5600x and 3060ti was cheaper on that days also less watts with 3060ti then 3070 thats good 👍
I just got the Arc750. So far it's pretty good. There are issues with HDR on some titles and youtube specifically (no hdr at 1080hd, it just frazzles the whole window, esp fullscreen). The driver updates have been noticeable improvements. I've played a few games and I don't notice any issues, everything is set to high. 12900k, 32 gb ddr5, 2tb ssd. Games run better at higher settings. Prior to the last update it would throw up a warning that it may not work but I didn't notice last night. The warning was boilerplate and did not ring true.
I’m waiting for the intel battlemage, I have a good feeling that they may be able to rival the new flagships of amd and Nvidia for hopefully significantly cheaper
I threw an A770 in a PC that was way overspecced for it. The price was so good that I wouldn't mind giving it to my buddies, and upgrading to Battlemage..
They've done a great job in shaking up the gpu market. Hopefully, they can pressure AMD and Nvidia enough to force them to go back to sensible pricing.
@@googlesucks925 That would be absolutely fantastic.....seems like Nvidia and AMD are about double the prices they 'should' be. They must think gamers are doctors and lawyers with $300k yr salaries. lol
@@dangerously72 You just need to temporarily alter your spending habits, track where all your money is going and adjust. Most people spend way too much on food
@@Digger-Nick Oh, i can Afford the cards, that's NOT the point...the prices are simply hyper-inflated and not in line with economic Reality. The market will eventually collapse, just like the housing market did.....the Prices are not a reflection of the value and eventually people will stop spending their hard earned money on over-priced garbage....and they'll wait till the prices come back to something reasonable.
Bought a Sapphire Nitro+ Special Edition 6800 XT for $540 USD which is awesome. I'm not in the USA but the 7900 XT which was my next option, was over $400 more... for not a whole lot better performance. This card owns at 1440p.
Super happy with going for the 4080 at a price that is way lower than normal - only $20 above the price of a 7900 XTX (*$180 OFF* thanks to the GameStop employee discount) for rasterization that trades blows with its competition, way better ray tracing, and DLSS. Worst case scenario, even if the rasterization may be slightly worse at times, I’d much rather get the card that’s only slightly worse at times with rasterization, but WAY better when it comes to frame generation tech and ray tracing. It’s worth forking over just a measly extra $20 for the card that’s more well-rounded, especially for my first ever desktop gaming PC.
hey man are these specs any good: Intel Core i7 4770 CPU GTX 1070 ROG Strix GPU 16GB RAM Kolink Observatory RB Case Crucial 1TB NVME M.2 SSD Corsair 550W PSU Asus Maximus VII Ranger Motherboard
Another amazing video!!! This is great one for everyone who's looking for a new GPU and also looking to understand more about which GPU to get. Well done again :) I love the advice about knowing about which games you want to play, your monitor and then your budget... It's so important... for me, since my monitor is 32 inch 4k (the MSI one from the sponsor hehehe), I knew I wanted to play 4k games and most of my games are AAA... So I've decided to go with 4080 (for all the RT, DLSS3, etc.).
The 4080 is the choice for me it’s preformance is better than any current amd card and for $150-200 more you get dlss 3 which is Insane also nvidia have always had super stable and fantastic drivers so sticking with green and also saving $600 for like 13% less frames is something I’m okay with. The 4090 is just way to $$$ atm and nvidia is likely to come out with the 5k series before I could ever reconcile spending near 2k for a gpu.
No doubting it's a great card, 100% top performer for most circumstances. It's a lot of money and in a couple of years will be the equivilent of a 2080Ti today. But if I could afford one without a single care, I'd have it! Or the 4090... Perchance to dream...

@@hamzaalktiesh2126 Hey, It all depends on what you find yourself playing. And the resolution you play at(whether that’s 1080 P 2K or 4K) I can tell you that if valorant csgo pubg are games you find yourself playing than those specs are fine. However if you like to let’s say dable in the gaming space I would say nothing less than a 3060ti you can be fine with a 20series like a 2070super or 2080ti but I’ll be honest future proofing is not something I would bank on. Now amd has great budget bang for the buck gpus I’m not very familiar with there cards but I know the 6700xt and similar cards are pretty good and can handle most if not all current games at 1080p or higher. Cpu wise both ryzen and intel are very competitive trading blows with each other often the i5 12/13th gen are fine and not nearly as expensive as the i9 but I would always look at I7 s first they tend to be the best balance. On amds side pretty much any of there mid-too tier CPU’s will out preform intels. I would suggest The ryzen 5 5600 or the ryzen 5 7600. Always stick with 16gb of ram or higher watch Linus or jays2cents on memory for the best overall experience. Idk just my advice.
Above the 4070 ti the power consumption is so high though. You need a more expensive power supply and to pay more money on electricity over the long run
Rtx 4090 Founder Edition Imo most beautiful GPU ever made and also perform very well. Pricey but if You can afford I would never gone for any other model then FE. Decent Video as usual.
Ideally I want to have a 144hz 1440p ultrawide main at the bottom then a 32 inch 4k 120hz+ (not for gaming just for OS smoothness and general QOL feeling)panel right above and tilted downwards. Currently got a 5900x and 6900xt in a thermaltake core p3 pro case planned out.
For 1440p gaming, You can’t beat the value with 6700XT, ESP with that 12GB Ram. This thing will age like fine wine. Best value and good future proof for a while!
It really is the sweet spot right now. I think I should get another year or two out of this card. Crazy how much 1440p performance you get from this card at the current price point. I got it paired with a 5600x atm.
What i need to know is MOTHERBOARDS... upgrading from an i7 4790k, 16gb ram ddr3 to an i9 13900k & 32gb ddr5 (probably 6400mhz cl34-36 or 7000+ cl36) but both the ram speed & overall motherboard performance is soooo hard to determine / compatibility now... i've seen benchmarks of motherboards explicitly making same spec systems get 10% more performance
3:40 This right here is truth. I'm building a creator PC for doing GIS work right now, (my first ever PC build) and because the software that I use for Machine/Deep Learning requires an NVIDIA GPU to function, as much as I would prefer the Intel Arc 750, I'm stuck with NVIDIA.
Made my new pc with 7600x and 6900xt asus rog lc and it is a beast. Got same radeon wattman errors on driver 1monnth ago but now it is rock good for 1440p 144hz gaming.
Almost bought a 4070ti today and luckily I resisted the impulse purchase. My old 1080ti has been trucking now for many years but has been showing its age - 60fps isn't a guarantee any longer and RT is no option at all. Here's to Intel, hopefully their next GPU can come through... If they can make a 60fps 1440 RT card for $600 or less they will dominate the market.
don't forget to buy a new power supply lol, I dought you're running anything better than a 600-watt PSU at the moment. anything in the 40 series probably needs at least an 800-watt PSU
Ps. Sir Centric - I think you hit the nail squarely concerning 1080P mate! If you want to play any game, 30 series cards will give you all the beans you'll need at 1080. 1440P is great, and can be dialled down to 1080 to suit the game when higher fps is required. 4k is not mainstream, it's for those with cash to splash, so USD2k cards will be small beer to them anyway. Point is, we can play all the best titles at 1080 with great fps on lower spec cards and have all the same fun and success, just without the highest cinema quality imagery we're told we need 😁.
If anyone is like me wondering what it's like to go from a weak older card to a current gen high end card, I can personally recommend dropping 20 bucks and get an Nvidia GeForce Now Ultimate subscription. As long as you have the bandwidth it works really well. Do your research, not all games are supported, but for 20 bucks you can avoid some buyers remorse. I'm doing that for right now until the current market settles in after all the lower tier AMD and Nvidia cards hit market and prices normalize. At 20/mo I'd pay less over 5 years than a RTX4080 costs and they upgrade GeForce Now periodically so it's not like you're stuck with the same performance for 5 years.
I got a 7900 XT at launch. Its been a little rough but overall its been good so far and keeps getting better. Runs a little hotter than i would like, so i revamped my case airflow. Stock driver settings at launch were awful, so i had to do manual tuning but its pretty simple in AMD Software. I have recently gone back to stock with the latest drivers and it seems good. I wish i waited though becasue I would have gotten an AIB card with a beefy heatsink like the Asus TUF if i had known i would get slight temp issues. Its a rasterization beast, and I know the XTX is better value, but at launch it was harder to get. Also, alot of influencers will tell you to go for the XTX because "might as well spend the extra 100" as if 100 bucks is not a lot of money. (This is why cost per frame isnt the perfect metric that one might think) Also if you wanted to avoid the defective reference XTX at the time then you would have to spend another 150 on top for an AIB. Little rant but just wanted to mention. Actually, in the UK you can get my card for 800GPB now so that is something. Also for that price I would go for the 7900 XT instead, if you were thinking of getting a 4070 Ti to game at 4k/DLSS/FSR. You lose out on RT performance, but crush it in Raster. Also, the 4070 Ti runs into its VRAM limit at 4k with frame generation and causes stutter because DLSS3 uses Vram quite a bit and so do 4k textures. For 1440p tho maybe the 4070 Ti would be better if you want to actually play your games with RT maxed and not just mess about for a bit.
@@tristiana5642 No problem! Overclockers doing the Sapphire reference card for 799 but if your worried about cooling it then go for the TUF if you can find it somewhere for a good price but it is a fair bit more usually. Maybe the Gaming OC from Gigabyte would be a good middle ground. But yeah if you have good airflow then just get the reference one it performs great!
@@Kaulnapf TL;DR: 1440p + Love RT + Cooler temps = 4070 Ti Possibly upgrading to 4K in the near future + Screw RT gimme dem frames + good airflow in case = 7900XT If you love Ray Tracing then yeah the 4070 Ti. But if you play with it off or low than you might want to go for the 7900XT for more frames and vram. Also, if you see yourself upgrading to a 4k monitor. 1440p does not require as much vram and i would personally not use ultra textures on 12gb for new releases. Then this would give you enough headroom with the 4070 Ti to use frame generation at 1440p wich will be cool. (bear in mind that FSR3 is coming this year with Frame Generation so your gonna get it anyway with the AMD card). I suppose it depends on what you want to play too. If you want to play Cyberpunk for 200 hours at 1440p than it would be worth it to get 4070 Ti because you can go crazy with RT and FG, and its one game where RT adds alot to the experience. Then you got some games that are super AMD optimised for some reason, so all the modern Resident Evil games run great with RT maxed out 4k FSR high refresh rate on the 7900XT. Also if you are MW2 guy than you gotta get the 7900XT it runs stupidly well. I play the regular multiplayer mode at native 4K ultra 120fps locked. It is glorious!
@@alyx4436 thanks for the very good explanation. i never tried RT cause i still have a 1070. never had AMD. i dont plan to upgrade to 4 k anytime soon but you never now. i just want a card that will hold its own for 4 years then i get a new one anyway. i just hear people talking about the small bit bus of the 4070ti and that 12 gb is not gonna be enough next year and so on. in my region the xt and the 4070 are the same price tbh. do you had any problems with amd drivers?
As a cheapskate, I’m not surprised my rx 6600 is one of the best FPS per dollar. I’ll rock it until it starts dipping below 60 at 1080p. My $900 PC, Laptop, mouse and monitor setup is rocking for me right now though
Thank you for the video. I have a 3060 oc 12g right now and game on 1080p. Want to upgrade to 4k gaming and was considering the 4070 ti or the 4080. Butt the prices are ridiculus. Going to wait it out a little and see what next year brings.
Lovely video thanks so much been watching everything on your channel building my first ever PC this week. Went with a 6600 xt for my gpu aiming 1080 high frames and pairing with a i3 13100f CPU so hope all works well together just waiting for the delivery
the i3 was always intel's little budget build card that packed a bit of a punch. Unfortunately I think those days are over as the quad-core CPU just isnt gonna cut it anymore. I'd look into the 12400h instead with its 6 cores, surprisingly good performance per dollar, and the fact that this is the lowest intel card you should be realistically running anymore (in a gaming PC).
Great video, but sadly, a bit irrelevant. What's the point of comparing different rigs, be it 6600 or 4090, if they have not been benchmarked in Runescape 3. That's like driving lambo in Stoke at 30mph and saying it is good enough for German autobahn.
I used to buy brand new GPUs all the time. My GTX 960, GTX 1080. But since the 20 series the performance of the graphics cards compared to the price isn't worth your hard earned money. He's right GPUs are worth how much a person is willing to pay for it. But because of the greed of the GPU manufacturers it's better to buy a used card from a well reviewed person. It'll serve you the same time as brand new as long as it's taken care of and it's not defective.

Been rocking with RX6700XT for quite a while and it's been nice for high FPS 1080p gaming. Prolly going to upgrade to a 1440p monitor sometime soon. It was a bit tricky decision between that card and 3070. Nvidia does have hands down better RT but decided to go for AMD because of a lot more memory and better bandwidth due to the infinity cache. Not crucial but a nice-to-have feature so I can feel free to skip the current generation.
@@lucasgenolini3767 I have R5 3600, undervolt 4.3GHz all core. They should go together nicely. Just for reference, I get a 12,3K total score on time spy. R7 5800X3D + RX6700XT should get ~13K without OC. If you already have 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen with at least 3200MTs memory, 5800X3D is the cheap and best upgrade you can do. In case you need to buy the whole platform, B550 MoBo, R5 5600X + 3600MTs memory is my bang for a buck recommendation.

By the way, the series x is just about as powerful as an RTX 2060ti or an amd 5700xt. So if you want something stronger, RTX 2070 or higher should be more than enough
@@grummpy3 more than enough. You’ll be running games with higher textures than what’s on the consoles, but with ray tracing you’re going to be getting around 20-30 fps on some of the more demanding ray tracing titles. An RTX 4090 only gets around 23 fps with cyber punks path tracing at 4k native. So curb your expectations on the ray tracing front
This is a good video listing the best values. My quandary is I have a 1080p high refresh rate monitor paired up with a RX 580, I am considering a RX6700XT just for the extra horsepower but although it is probably more video card than I need for my current monitor resolution
Extremely detailed n helpful channel. B rn debating the 6700xt for a while cuz I stupidly bought a 1080p high refresh rate monitor recently, but at least I know I can run any game no problem with high FPS until I upgrade my monitor 😅
it cant run scum at 144, not even close tbh. best i see is 120 mainly stays at 90 though most of the time. not too bad though for what it is. i also doubt it can run sons of the forest at 144 as well. havent tried that one yet but i will.
I'm from the era before 3Dfx Voodoo when 640x480 and 15 fps was considered "playable". When you play games at those frame rates, your brain actually fills in the gaps and after awhile you don't even see the stuttering. So for me 1080p and 30fps is fine, 60 fps feels almost like overkill and anything above that seems totally insane. So 1070Ti is more than enough, thank you. You could buy a car with the price of those 3090:s.. again insane from my perspective.
My new 6800xt is giving me so many problems after trying so many fixes. Probably going to take it back and just upgrade back to nividia. My 1080 I had before this gpu gave me absolutely zero problems
No new graphics cards are good value but if the alternative is not having a graphics card to enjoy PC gaming, then I guess I'll just suck it up and pay the asking price. In fact that's exactly what I begrudgingly did when I upgraded to a 4080 to fully utilize my 4K monitor. No, I don't recommend any of the 40 series cards unless you either have to upgrade or don't mind paying the asking the price.

4k gaming I don't think imo 9s really there yet. Dlss 3 can get really bad more frequently than one would like. Upscaled 4k imo isn't as good as native 1440
i own the RTX 3080 and it’s keeping up with everything i need on the Samsung G9!😃 Wonder how future proof this would be tho because somehow every game that comes out becomes more and more demanding …
Great video mate, makes me want to consider AMD rather than Nvidea....much better value (not often you hear that about GPUs!) Small request, could you do a similar video about motherboards....I just can't get my head around which ones are best suited for which tech and what to look out for!
I will say this, if you want bargain deals on GPU's then look on the marketplace :) You can get 3080's for £300, 3080 ti's for £350 and 3090's for about £400. There's always a greater risk here but you can bag yourself a steal if you wanna risk it for that biscuit lol
I bought a 3070 middle of last year for $800 aud(about 450 GBP) and it drives my ultrawide 1440p monitor quite well although I feel that with some games, it'd be nice to be able to crank the details up a bit more. I have been thinking about the 4070ti of late and will probably look at getting one if they can drop down below $1000 aud. I'm also about to replace my Ryzen 5 3600 cpu with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Yes, the 7000 series cpus are now available but I don't want to have to replace my ram and mobo. There's still plenty of life left in it.

I had a 3070 from close to release that i returned in Jan due to crashing. I got a refund of $968 so i just ponied up the difference and got the 4070ti. I can tell you the best part is how much quieter it is. My Inno3d 3070 howled and ran at 75 degrees constantly... this thing is barely audible and doesn't put out anywhere near the same heat, while giving me better frames. In my circumstance, it was a no brainer... it's much better in VR too.

GPUs are still stupidly expensive in the UK, and I need to replace my Vega 64as it keeps black screening. So I'm thinking of going for a 6700xt. I'm just slightly concerned that the card is already over a year old, and it probably isn't the best pairing for a Ryzen 9 7900
Hi, can you recommend which CPU, GPU, memory and storage if I want to play FF7 remake and FF14 a realm reborn (after graphics update in the upcoming years) at 4K 120 FPS all the time? I just need to play these 2 games at 4k 120 FPS and RTX 4090 is too overpriced for that.
Could I get some help from here? I'm considering upgrading my graph card, but lack the knowledge to do so right away. The goal would be to make a rather heavily modded Skyrim AE, and some modern games like RE4 Remake, run smoothly. I don't need ultrasuperduper graphics, just some good FPS. Info that I could glean at the moment, is this terrible these days: CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 @ 2.70 GHz 1 Processor, 4 Cores GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb. Did some benchmarking, Geekbench gave a score of 2850 (multicore), and Heaven benchmark program gave pretty steady 30 fps at High quality. It's been some years since I bought the Lenovo Ideacube '^.^

I just started my build yesterday and I got everything except the gpu. I have an amd 7700x and I'm thinking I'll go with the powercolor rx 7900 xt. Any opinions?
Yeah that's probably the best "mainstream" build right now as it will have more than enough performance for 99% of people and can build a system with those parts for around $1500 or so. It's a sensible build that gives pretty good bang for buck and should be pretty solid for 4-5 for most users.
Guys whats the GPU you would buy for your 3440*1440 60HZ ultrawide screen, assuming you are not pro-gamer (not even casual gamer I would say) but need for editing creating content, graphic designing, and own Ryzen7 3700 as your CPU

He kept saying he doesnt care and tried justifying getting scammed which hurts my brain like i was supposed to help build it but i can no longer support this and his friend who recommended a build list which was so garbage i made it better and doubled almost everything and just made it correctly with good deals from microcenter too. I even showed him a 4070ti at the end because i didn't know they go for $840 like holy poop... I hope he fixes this simple mistake
Despite the controversy at its launch I’ve been running a 4070ti with a 13700k and it is a fantastic card. I’ve been mostly playing on an ultrawide 3440x1440 and some on a 4K tv and it is really
Impressive for the price (compared to current GPU market) obviously still too expensive but at this point I think it’s the best value for a higher end card
so i currently have 3070ti ftw3 ultra and 5900x cpu with 32gb ram and 850w psu is 4070ti best upgrade option?

@@ryzendave9303 I think “best option” is subjective because if price isn’t a factor than obviously 4090/4080 would be better but for the price the 4070ti with the 5900x should be a very good upgrade over the 3070 at those resolutions. Also I’ve only ever had Nvidia cards and I like the features and software so maybe an AMD card is better at that price range in some ways but I just can’t speak to that personally

Really useful this one Marcus - thank you! I've just built my first PC and am running it on the IGPU while I get some funds together for the card, so this was a great consideration piece for the options I'm looking at currently!

I have the same GPU. It has amazing performance. I use 1440 p monitor and I'm happy with this GPU. I play RDR2, Cyberpunk etc.

I love the advice about knowing about which games you want to play, your monitor and then your budget...
It's so important... for me, since my monitor is 32 inch 4k (the MSI one from the sponsor hehehe), I knew I wanted to play 4k games and most of my games are AAA... So I've decided to go with 4080 (for all the RT, DLSS3, etc.).
W mans 👍

Hey,
It all depends on what you find yourself playing.

You need more vram than the 4070ti have, look at higher end nvidia or go for team red.

Super helpful info man, thanks very much! Been a bit stuck between 7900 XT or a 4070 Ti 😅 What websites would you recommend though for the 7900 XT?
@@tristiana5642 No problem! Overclockers doing the Sapphire reference card for 799 but if your worried about cooling it then go for the TUF if you can find it somewhere for a good price but it is a fair bit more usually. Maybe the Gaming OC from Gigabyte would be a good middle ground. But yeah if you have good airflow then just get the reference one it performs great!
so you would go for the 4070ti if only 1440p gaming is all i want? in my region the prices are same between them. just worried about the 12gb tho
@@Kaulnapf
TL;DR:
1440p + Love RT + Cooler temps = 4070 Ti
Possibly upgrading to 4K in the near future + Screw RT gimme dem frames + good airflow in case = 7900XT
If you love Ray Tracing then yeah the 4070 Ti.
It is glorious!

the i3 was always intel's little budget build card that packed a bit of a punch.

It was a bit tricky decision between that card and 3070. Nvidia does have hands down better RT but decided to go for AMD because of a lot more memory and better bandwidth due to the infinity cache. Not crucial but a nice-to-have feature so I can feel free to skip the current generation.

I can't find Quinton in the comments and I am concerned you have scared him off
I'm from the era before 3Dfx Voodoo when 640x480 and 15 fps was considered "playable".
You could buy a car with the price of those 3090:s.. again insane from my perspective.
in competitive fps games it definitely isn't overkill but for slower games fps don't necessarilly matters i agree.
My new 6800xt is giving me so many problems after trying so many fixes. Probably going to take it back and just upgrade back to nividia. My 1080 I had before this gpu gave me absolutely zero problems
much needed information thank you very much
No new graphics cards are good value but if the alternative is not having a graphics card to enjoy PC gaming, then I guess I'll just suck it up and pay the asking price. In fact that's exactly what I begrudgingly did when I upgraded to a 4080 to fully utilize my 4K monitor. No, I don't recommend any of the 40 series cards unless you either have to upgrade or don't mind paying the asking the price.
Fantastic video (as usual! 💪)!
I have a lg 38gn950-B monitor and I’m thinking upgrade my pc. Any suggestion what’s the best gpu and cpu comp? I only play world of Warcraft ☺️
I just bought a RX 6900 XT a couple days ago, for $650, couldn't pass that up.
I got a 6650 XT for $300 with 2 games included and I love it for 1080p. They're even cheaper now too.
1650 user. My i5 4690k has been a champ for 8 years. It was time.
I was surprise a $35 Quatro GT620 played all my quadcopter sims buttery smooth as smooth as my $150 Gefore 1070.
Unreal Engine is a beast to do that good on ancient hardware.
Love The Channel Mate :)
nice content ! Salty well explained, many thanks.
Hi man, great video and a lot of data. 3080 on used market can be obtained for 450€, Radeon 6800 xt is more pricy
Question is have you had 10gb 3080 or 12gb 3080 ? Because difference between those is huge 12gb version nearly equal to 3080 ti based on Tom’a Hardware result charts
LOVE THIS GUY.....Im running a ROG Strix 3070...keeps me happy.
You run it with 1080p or 1440? How is it FPS wise
Thank you. This video was so helpful ❤
4k gaming I don't think imo 9s really there yet. Dlss 3 can get really bad more frequently than one would like. Upscaled 4k imo isn't as good as native 1440
Can I use the PCIe 5.0 connector with my atx 3.0 power supply to connect my RTX 4080 to it?
i own the RTX 3080 and it’s keeping up with everything i need on the Samsung G9!😃 Wonder how future proof this would be tho because somehow every game that comes out becomes more and more demanding …
Great video mate, makes me want to consider AMD rather than Nvidea....much better value (not often you hear that about GPUs!)
Small request, could you do a similar video about motherboards....I just can't get my head around which ones are best suited for which tech and what to look out for!
I will say this, if you want bargain deals on GPU's then look on the marketplace :) You can get 3080's for £300, 3080 ti's for £350 and 3090's for about £400. There's always a greater risk here but you can bag yourself a steal if you wanna risk it for that biscuit lol
@@crackajacka87 risk it for the biscuit lol. Thats nice
Is GIGABYTE Radeon™M RX 6700 XT with AMD Ryzen™M 5 5600G a good combo?
Just built a new pc with a 3060ti it’s crazy how well it performs for the price I got it for glad I didn’t pay an arm and a leg
I'm just amazed at what BEAUTFIUL looking PCs you can build without spending a ton of money. I don't think I'll ever buy a laptop again!
5800x3d is almst as pwerful as the latest x3d, imma get the 5800x3d too, which amd gpu is good paired with? is rx 6750xt too weak for this cpu oor it's fine? (1080p so less gpu usage)
@@depecid My 3070 is the Gigabyte Gaming OC card and it runs really quiet given it's got 3 fans. I think if I'm looking at the 4070ti, maybe I'll save th extra and get the Gigabyte Gaming OC version of that card.
@Bryndal Dwyre Yea nice, I bought the Gigabyte Eagle oc as the gaming was too long for my case.
@@depecid It fits my Corsair Spec-04 ok, but if I go for the 4070ti, I'll have to remove the drive caddy.
Thanks for the advice
Just one question… What would you recommend for MSFS2020 in ultra settings? RTX 4070ti would work?
TOP JOB 👍
Need some opinions on my first build. And if there’s anything that would be important to change before I buy.
Ryzen 7 5800X
RTX 3070 ti
ASUS B550-F
Trident Z 32gb 3600 CL18
MSI MPG 750w gold
2TB 970 evo
NZXT H510 case
NZXT T120 cooler
Budget is around 1750$
@@FaceMyLogic i don't like the ram at all and maybe go for the r7 5800x3d with this gpu, also amd cards will be much better valus and you get sam from amd witch is huge. ram cl should never be above 18, 3600 is useless in most games 3200 is perfect and 32gb is only usefull if you do heavvy projects that aren't gaming. if youo go with 32gb ram still, find a dual channel that is dual rank.
anything lower than a 16GB Vram is not going to cut it going forward.
Radeon 6950xt prices have dropped down to 700 euros, so I would say that's a great card for the price.
I think I will buy XFX RX 6700Xt 12gb for my 1st new setup. The price of that gpu is £349 right now. Is that good choice?? What do you think please let me know
Thanks for this well done video.
I got an RX6900XT for $600 last year. Very happy.
Info that I could glean at the moment, is this terrible these days:
CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 @ 2.70 GHz
1 Processor, 4 Cores
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb.
Did some benchmarking, Geekbench gave a score of 2850 (multicore), and Heaven benchmark program gave pretty steady 30 fps at High quality.
It's been some years since I bought the Lenovo Ideacube '^.^
Here me out guys, so I'm looking for a stable 1440p gaming with the best price considering that I'll use Intel 13600fk or 13600k , so my options are :
Amd : rx 6700xt // rx 6800xt if not too pricey.
Nvidia : rtx 4070
What do you guys think?
I just love watching Newt Scamander building pc's !
I just started my build yesterday and I got everything except the gpu. I have an amd 7700x and I'm thinking I'll go with the powercolor rx 7900 xt. Any opinions?
4070ti 13600k rig has gone beyond expectations
Yeah that's probably the best "mainstream" build right now as it will have more than enough performance for 99% of people and can build a system with those parts for around $1500 or so. It's a sensible build that gives pretty good bang for buck and should be pretty solid for 4-5 for most users.
Guys whats the GPU you would buy for your 3440*1440 60HZ ultrawide screen, assuming you are not pro-gamer (not even casual gamer I would say) but need for editing creating content, graphic designing, and own Ryzen7 3700 as your CPU
yo funny shit happened last night uh my friend bought a 3070ti for $840 and i repeatedly told him to return that shit because its legit terrible for the price and its on amazon so easy return.
