Glad to see the local press celebrating your context, love how you approach food from a less snobby everyday stand point and highlight minority owned businesses without all the fluff! You rock :p
Wow the food looks good. I never had that kind of food before. Will try to get there It's like 3 blocks from where I live. Just want to thank you again for finding another gem. Keep up the good work and God bless you and your family.
Its real wonderful to be able to enjoy videos that highlight small businesses/struggling business! They are some of the back bone in this Country! We need them, they are cooking with love, that's the best kind of food!
Hardena is so yummy!! Need to get back there soon lol when this heat wave is over!! In the meantime you should try Jembatan 5 at 932 S 10th st!! Incredibly friendly and amazing service and the food is delicious!!! Also Indonesian!!
I cook alot of south east Asian food. I can tell you Indonesian is at the top of my list for favorite next to Malaysian. Indonesian rendang is a must try if you are new to Indonesian. You'll never want another beef stew any other way
@@lenziany Dutch people love Indonesian food. It was an old colony of the Netherlands. But I think they adjusted the recepies to the Dutch taste. I am one of the few people who likes real spicy food. My Indonesian collegue says he has never seen a white man eat so spicy. Rendang is one of the best dishes in the world!
Good read on the article. Now I know why you have a compassionate heart for people. I first heard of you from Mark Wein's visit to Philly just a month ago.
Well JL there goes another great video. The owner really knew her cuisine and definitely has tried to please her customers. Food looks great. I'd like to try this greens, egg plant and curry chicken. JL you're the best. Blessings to your family. #JLJupiter 🔥🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽❤❤ Congratulations 🎉🔥
Happy JL went to Hardenas. One of our favorite spots. Their beef rendang and vegetable corn fritters are our favorites. Love places that cook really good, homemade food.
well, as indonesian i can say that drew knew what he say and do a real research for the rendang cos' it is different interpretation of rendang between one area to anothers, the real one from west sumatra is more dark, dryer and more savoury. the one you eat, they (west sumartan) called is not entirely rendang, it's just half way process to the final form of rendang, they called these phase is "kaleo". but i can see this restaurant is coconut milk-based in that day menues
The style you have in getting the food, and putting it in the right way for everyone to understand who the food tastes. The food looks great, color the flavors are fresh cooked well.
You and your wife are such a delight to watch and I am local so I love your feedback on the grub you throw down on...Lol...Continue to be who you are cuz you are a gem 💎 that allows other gems 💎 to shine...💒
Once again another great video...waiting for you to visit Mei Mei's in Franklin township, NJ...their young chow fried rice and crispy shrimp with black pepper is fire 🔥...honestly everything is delicious there except the fried chicken wings which I can never get done enough for my taste...but great hard working people run that restaurant seemless and have been a part of the community for decades...you will not be disappointed 😀.
Enak Ee, great seeing you enjoy "indonesia" Sundaland Food ! did you know cambodja and Sundaland had close ties! in ancient past! The lima Tribes produced Awesome food ;)
Another banger if your ever out in Jersey again you should check out Jaimito’s try the lomo hopefully I’m spelling it right it’s in Clifton nj Peruvian restaurant great food 😊🙌🏼
May 12th 2021.....Hello brother JL Jupiter....We are here on the ⏰ clock in the 60160zipcode Melrose Park Illinois Watching your new Video😁 Much Respect and appreciated of your hard work..
I always enjoy watching your videos. God bless you brother for your effort. I hope one day i can visit the US, and try some of the food over there. Much love!
Nice, interesting cuisine from Indonesia. Lazor added good input to the conversation. My question is what part of Indonesia are these people from? With more than 100 million Indonesians there are regional cuisines. The rijstafel is the Indonesian version of the Indian thali, a series of small dishes. Good, informative video!
I love Indonesian food, I have to try this place out. Also considering the pricing I’d consider this a steal, Indonesian restaurants in Philly charge an arm and a leg.
Hey JL I have not seen you lately, how are you doing and how is the family I hope all is well. Take care and keep doing what you do. We love you from the Big Girls.
Im indonesian so i might be biased, but damn our food is really good. Rendang, ayam goreng, nasi goreng, sate ayam, mie ayam, nasi bungkus, bakso, soto, all these you should try some day 😊
Looks good! Can’t wait to try it. There’s also an Indian restaurant on 38th st near Chestnut/Market st(center city) named Sitar India that has excellent food. Went to their buffet for years and it has consistently been excellent. Seems eating this type of food helps prevent sickness even(the herbs/spices)...👍🏽🙂👍🏽
Wow drew seems like a great dude... chowing down!! Seems like your chemistry needs to be explored more with another video in the future!!
I agree...Drew is THE MAN! 2nd video i've seen him in! super laid back and knowledge!
Glad to see the local press celebrating your context, love how you approach food from a less snobby everyday stand point and highlight minority owned businesses without all the fluff!

Love how the proprietor ended her explanation of the menu with “or whatever I feel like cooking!”
Love this guy a lot...he isn't trying to steal the show...great guy!

Best Wishes, and CONGRATULATIONS to you for being recognized for recognizing all of the hard working people who make delicious food! 🙏🏽👍🏼👍🏼❤
I've never had Indonesian food but this looks amazing
If you can handle spices than it's for you😀
Many European don't like it though, cause they can't handle the flavor of lemon grass, chillies, etc ..
I cook alot of south east Asian food. I can tell you Indonesian is at the top of my list for favorite next to Malaysian. Indonesian rendang is a must try if you are new to Indonesian. You'll never want another beef stew any other way
