    Behind is Outremer 51 ? Noticed that the position of daggerboards on HH is a lot forward than Outremer. Not sure which way is more efficient .

    Hi All, ... what I'm very interested in, is, how fast is this "fastest catamaran"? There is a video with 21kn... but that's not fast, isn't it?... Does someone has information about that? (in case of... sorry about my bad english)

    Faster than gunboat?

  • @dahlendol3581

    Can all spoiled salty kids stop complaining about the luxury for the price, it’s a race boat not a luxury yatch. Carbon fiber is a very expensive material and all the luxury makes it heavier and that is bad from a race boat perspective. I think it’s an amazing boat and going fast without burning fuel is way more enjoyable then tons of luxury.

  • @justwayne4785
    @justwayne4785 6 лет назад +4

    I don’t think this boat knows what it’s supposed to be, below deck it’s neither spartan or plush, and so looks really ugly with its cramped beds but plush wood interior alongside weight saving white surfaces.
    The salon isn’t that of a race or luxury boat either, looks kind of a thrown together space with not much emphasis on seating, a tiny entertainment centre, and the galley has parts on both the port and starboard...
    Don’t know if there was any way to enclose the aft seating are for inclement weather or to stop bugs attacking, but didn’t look like it on the video.
    One thing I can say that looked extremely well thought out were the helm positions, with the adjustable wheels, sliding cover and forward glass protection that makes for a really sleek appearance along with the large B&G display.
    All in all it seems the owner was undecided in what he wanted when he spec’d out this boat, along with some unfortunately on the thin sized hulls for such an expensive purchase, I can’t help but think how much more appealing it would be if there was room to turn the bed side on and step around it.

      I agree that it's lacking in comfort but that's the compromise of having a fast cat. You either want Speed or Comfort but you can't get both. What are your favorites outside of this?

    • @justwayne4785
      @justwayne4785 6 лет назад

      Aspect I definitely favour the comfort over speed, if you exclude race boars that are purpose built for speed, then mono hulls are the best choice for sailing at high speed, cats are for comfort in my opinion, I really like the newer boats by Lagoon.

    • @soundbeings1
      @soundbeings1 5 лет назад +1

      Agree entirely. Disjointed. And expensive. Need someone from Privilege to tie it all together!

  • @filobrosgolf
    @filobrosgolf 6 лет назад

    4.2 mil is very very high. The Seventy 7 is the same price and seems like 20x the boat, for cruisers anyways.

    • @CatamaranChannel
      @CatamaranChannel  6 лет назад +1

      The HH is almost totally made out of carbon. Makes it about 20x faster then the 77.
      But i must say, Lagoon is very hard to beat, if you look at price and what you get for it.
      Thanks for watching!

  • @Shadowm572

    I'm Sorry, but I think this is the HH48. There were more than a few signs and pamphlets stating such.

    • @CatamaranChannel
      @CatamaranChannel  6 лет назад +1

      No need to be sorry, because its not the 48
      The HH48 isnt built yet, they are pushing the concept, wich i understand.
      Thats why you see folders and stuff about it, so people get to know what its all about.
      Thanks for watching!

    • @Shadowm572
      @Shadowm572 6 лет назад

      Catamaran Channel yeah your right. The first video I saw of the HH66 was actually the HH66-05, which was wjy I was confused. Its vastly different from this boat, with interior/exterior helm. Looked really cool.

  • @Expandacraftboats
    @Expandacraftboats 5 лет назад

    With a big cat like that, you should have an Expandacraft modular boat of some kind on board. Expandacraft is a modular multihull which fits in small spaces and can transform into all sorts of watercraft. Row, paddle, paddle, sail or motor, it's like the Lego of boats

  • @frankkreyssig7626
    @frankkreyssig7626 5 лет назад +2

    Probably one of the classier interiors for a catamaran that I have seen. The rest of them look like cardboard boxes that float.

  • @pioneer_1148
    @pioneer_1148 2 года назад +1

    I'm not sure how to call this one. The exterior styling is gorgeous, it'll clearly sail like a dream and it's got a tonne of space inside. However, I'm not convinced by the mixed fore and aft winches, the interior layout is really wierd and doesn't make a great use of the space and the interior styling is downright horrific.

    • @Ellis01234567890
      @Ellis01234567890 2 года назад

      I was thinking that. The interior looks like it comes from the 90's and the layout just seems off, but can't put my finger on it. I'm sure the layout can be changed and the interior too. With a more modern looking interior I'm sure it would be much more appealing. the price seems very reasonable too.

    • @pioneer_1148
      @pioneer_1148 2 года назад

      @@Ellis01234567890 I'm not sure about the layout itself. High performance boats like this are built with the layout moulded into their construction. I'm reasonably confident it could be changed but it would almost certainly require a lot of work.
      The panels, fabric e.t.c... are also (near enough) custom made foam cored products. They could be changed without much difficulty but it would be very expensive. A lot of work goes into making these boats light, which is great but also tends to make them very expensive.
      If I were to have the money for a boat this size I'd go for a balance 620 instead. (though get them to fit a proper nav table/office instead of the half hearted desk they have in the renders) The versa helm seems like a great idea, their models are known to be extremely well thought through and epoxy is almost as light while being way cheaper, more durable and easier to repair than carbon.

    This looks like a Chinese copy of the Gunboat with some ideas from Privilege morphed in without much of an impact on comfort.
    If you want a performance cat, then you forget the comfort aspect and spend the big bucks on a Gunboat ! (The new Gb 68 is awesome)
    If you want a luxury and comfort cat, then you buy Privilege, Sunreef and Lagoon

  • @toptastic66
    @toptastic66 5 лет назад +1

    There is no getting away from the fact that China have a reputation for
    producing very sub standard things in general, Maybe the laminates and
    carbon fiber are made well, but what about the nuts & bolts, all
    those chinese made electrical contacts and jubilee clips etc holding
    things together etc.
    I wouldn't feel safe flying on a Chinese built Jet or trust a Chinese made wrist watch to last as long as a Rolex.

    • @zzzxxzzz4797

      That's why the HH cats are designed and engineered by Americans ! The materials used are specified by the engineer ! The only Chinese part is the labor , kinda like the apple phones ! Designed and engineered by Americans , assembled with Chinese labor ! HH cats have the quality like the worlds best selling phone , both assembled in China !

    • @jamesaron1967
      @jamesaron1967 2 года назад +1

      There are advantages and disadvantages to both. With a centerboard there's additional drag because of the opening where the board recesses when not in use. That's why some manufacturers offer the option of one or the other.

  • @zzzxxzzz4797
    @zzzxxzzz4797 5 лет назад +1

    Just saying , it is not a real catamaran unless it has dagger boards ! This cat has boards ! Sail up wind on this one !

    • @pioneer_1148
      @pioneer_1148 2 года назад

      Well technically you could add boards to a lagoon. That wouldn't make is sail well.
