Great car I’ve had the same car as this since new,I now service it myself and it costs very little to maintain, brilliant fuel consumption,I’ve had nothing go wrong with it in the 8 years I’ve had it,it’s been a great car.
Beautifully put together car in typical German fashion. An excellent review. Over here in Europe, more than half of all cars sold are Diesels, and that incls luxury brands. My 2004 Audi A3 TDI 2 litre which I have owned for 7 years averages, 58-62 mpg on motorways and never less than 45 mpg even in the heaviest City driving.
Glad to know the weather is picking up - we will be in Naples on Sunday looking at some condos and will stop by the new place to see if there are any nice trade ins for sale to stuff in the garage!
You own an S124?! Much respect! :D This one is alright, by comparison LOL As for AdBlue and emissions... Wow, it's a lovely day over there in Naples, great time of year! LOL
Bill. You lucky dude. A w123 wagon? Damn. Last one I had was a 1985 with 270k and I bought it from RBM of Atlanta’s parts dept. talk about a well preserved wagon. They used it as a parts delivery car. However I sold it after I came across another 85 sedan with 68k miles In Diamond blue. I loved that sedan but boy the wagon was so much better! As u know. Please do a review of your wagon! You will get some nice views!
yes definitely. make sure they replace the oil cooler under the intake/turbo. you'll be good for a few 100k with these engines. the rest is bullet prove, no suspension or electrical gremlins like the previous version
I'm in the same position but with the E220 (4 cylinder). E350 engine code is OM642. As with any Mercedes maintenance maintenance maintenance maintenance is absolutely necessary so don't even think about looking at one where there's even the slightest question mark surrounding that. The E-class is _the_ taxi in Germany, so these thing have the potential to do a lap around galaxy or so. Pick the latest vehicle you can afford to make sure you get the latest engine as possible, and aren't paying for somebody else's early-adopter-complete-engine-failure situation.
Own one myself love pulling into gas stations and people looking at that Diesel clank clank clank rolling 😂

Bill you always give the voice recognition those vague ass commands, then get upset when it doesn't comply 😂. Classic Bill 👍🍺
I certainly appreciate your affinity for your TD. I am equally as thrilled with my 181k 1984 300SD.

In Europe the E350 has 265 H.P. and 620 NM.....Very quick and smooth ride...
Does the bluetec also have 265hp?
@@lani8811 No, it has “only” 231 hp, the 265 hp version is called BlueEFFICIENCY...
Love diesels -- our 2015 Passat TDI is a joy on the road. 52mpg going 75mph all day. Would love to get one these to replace our Jetta tdi :-)
Go for it . You will not regret it
I love the commentary....I chuckled quite often. Cockroaches and MB Tex.....LOLLLLL

Do think I would be ok buying one of these with liek 180k+ Miles? I just need to use it for 1 or 2 years or around 10-20k miles.

What maintenance was done on it and what's the mileage?
@@chadyaknow5690 how is the engine ? any issues with the car at all ? i just bought a 2011 and its got a rip in the driver seat
What about the DPF issues newer diesels have
I thought that was the Cadillac xlr but wasn't sure then 15:28 confirmed it lol

On what exactly when you mention maintenance?
Very nice video well presented but it’d be a whole lot better if you didn’t take the Lord’s name in vain.
Too much waste of time talk.... Cut to the chase!!
