- Vlog of my first time going on public busses from Abu Dhabi Airport into Abu Dhabi city during my 24 hour layover in Abu Dhabi. If I can do it, anyone can!
Total cost was around $2.00 USD for the journey in this video!
If you are going, look for directions on Google before you leave and you will see the busses that you need to get.... Get a Hafilat card (As I do in the video), top up with 10-20 AED (Depending on length of stay) and you are good to go!

Thank you for the instructions in the video
Nice work mate!
Nice video 👍
Great, I will be in Abu Dhabi soon, I will literally just copy you. Cheers!
I'm glad it was useful!
Thanks for watching 👍
You should have asked the bus driver. The A1 bus that you took has a stop near the hotel you were staying. You will just need to cross the road from that stop to your hotel. Just tell the bus driver where you need to go, they will tell which stop to go down or which number of bus to take.
Perfect. I have a 15 hour wait between flights and your have helped me know how to get a bus into the city centre.
It was really easy actually, you'll have no issues, especially if you download offline maps before going or research the bus routes before you are there. Even without, it wasn't difficult.
Thanks for watching 👍
You could've just waited at that bus stop instead of crossing the bridge. 201 goes there too.
I was told this later! The bus system there is really good! If you know the area that you need to get to (Or have Google Maps), it is very easy to get around..
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. Really helpful. I`m planning to go there and always have to look for this type of information. I have some questions.
-Is it like in some places in Europe that with one ticket you can travel for example 1 hour with no limitation of buses, or when you change the bus you have to pay again?
-For 2, do we have to have 2 Hafilat cards or with one is ok?
- Did you use the tram? I think is called ATR. Can you use the same Hafilat card?
-Did you see in each bus stop machines to add money to the Hafilat card or is just in some random bus stops?
Thanks in advance and again thanks for the video.
I think you just scan when on DND off and it charges based on that. The top up machines weren't at every stop but there were a lot around. I think the ones from the airport are good for everywhere but there are some that are only good for Abu Dhabi and some that are only ok for Dubai..
Your best bet is to ask when at the airport, they were really helpful and will give better info than I can.
Thanks for watching 👍🏽

Hi i wanna ask u if im new there should i pay for Hafilat card? And how much is the ticket to go to city?
I put 20 AED on mine and went to and from the city and there was still 12 left on it after this so you could get away with 10 (that's the minimum). It would depend on which route you took but it's cheap, however you do it.
Thanks for watching 👍
Where is your put your luggage ? i see you only bring backpack from abu dhabi airport to your hotel
I only had a backpack with me but if you had big luggage, they put that underneath for you and we're getting it out when it stopped.
Thanks for watching 👍
Any body tell me if i want to go Abu dhabi Airport from Bus station so which bus will go there?
It's a while since I was there but when I went back, I just asked hotel staff and they all know which bus and where to go.
Also , all of the bus station staff will tell you exactly where to go. They are very helpful. The busses are frequent too.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Can i use this cart in Dubai as well?
I think it's a different system there.
Thanks for watching 👍
For Dubai, check with RTA
RTA is dubai. Sharjah's board is SRTA, Abu Dhabi's is ITC. They all are different systems and are not inter compatible, so you need different tickets/cards
SRTA and RTA have their own buses at Abu Dhabi station to get there, as A.D is the capital, they take effort to arrange their transport here
Hey, can't seem to find your email in the "About" section. Could you provide me a way to contact you? I have an intriguing proposal. Cheers.
I've just added it in there.
Thanks 👍
U need a nose wax lol
