For grade stakes, it gives the cut or fill. Okay? Grade stakes usually have many different cuts or fills. A lot of slope stakes have 6-10 cuts? Also slope stakes are done at the top areas of grading, usually on super rough grade. Also, what about brushy or really muddy conditions? Areas that are dug out? And the fact someone has to follow it and write up all the lath? I don’t see it being adopted. When you pay survey to provide the layout, you’re also paying them to absorb liability. I could you see it used for a stakeout here or there, but not reliably over the course of a project.

I'm currently running a stitcher installing wick drains & we have several of these civ robots doing our markings. Not sure if you have ever heard of a stitcher or not. Look up wick drains stitcher & you can see this tall ass boom on a hoe. All of ours stitchers are 80 foot tall. It's definitely different than anything I've ran in my almost 20 yrs operating equip.

The dirt, mud, rain, heat will keep it down. It looks like it's still in prototype stage.

Seems like anything other than perfectly optimal site conditions and this thing is toast. What if there's.. I don't know.. a bush? Or a rock?

The video explains what a stitcher is what it's for. As well as Gordie Howe who that bridge is named after was my grandfathers cousin.
