The more I listen to these tracks, the more I'm convinced that they just didn't want to write a full new soundtrack for Kirby Air Ride by the time it was done being actually developed. (Though to be fair, I'm sure you wouldn't feel like it too if you've been working on a game for almost the same amount of time as Duke Nukem Forever.)
This comment is so ironic now After Sakurai revealed the final version of the game was made in 3 months ... *three months* They had I think a year's worth of development assets prior at least, but man now it's clear why the game filled out songs with stuff from the anime

@@Warper74 Probably music rights. Sometimes it's really just cheaper to hire a new composer than it is to get rights to a soundtrack that already exists. And the composer who did Kirby: Right Back at Ya was already working with 4kids on other stuff.

Everytime I see Kirby on that warp star I think of static shock. When I think of Static Shock, I think of Kirby copying the ability and ride a thunder star.
