I am American Salvadoran and I like pupuas. But I prefer my soups. I am very picky i don’t like to pupuas, but I could see myself having soup of kidney beans any day. I like a sopa de frijoles con pitos, tortillas de maza y queso it will put anybody to sleep. From my mother homeland, my auntie did like a chicken soup that I went for a second plate. It was that good. In the states, the soups never made me break a sweat. I would never order a soup in Salvadoran restaurant, because the chicken is either frozen or chicken quality from the poultry center is not the same as in El Salvador.
Thank you Pero Like for highlighting how the younger generations are embracing culture on our own terms! Also, Maya and Curly have always been beautiful, but this last year that they've been working on themselves they've gone super sayian on is with how they're glowing!

I use to live in Houston and I was introduced to Pupusa from a Salvadoran Woman who made them from a Food Truck near my home at the time.....This Lady gave myself and my daughter one Each to try....OMG WE HAD LOST OUR MINDS....We were HOOKED....We ate it so MUCH that she would Make Us like a Dozen of them FRESH and would have them READY for US LIKE damn Near EVERY Other Friday....LIKE. we had an Obsession with them......GOD BLESS THE SALVADORAN PEOPLE.....😂❤❤
I love this place!! Even the “regular” pupusas are big and delicious. If you do decide to go, parking sometimes is an issue but don’t let that stop you !!!

I’m from India.. Fried ripe plantain is an evening snack here.. And we have many other plantain dishes too.. Like mofongo but with diff spices and stuffs.
I wanna try the Mexican influence one. My moms Mexican and she makes pupusas because one of my cousins from my dad's side of the family taught her. Btw my dad is Savadorian. She makes some bomb spicy salsa that is so good with curtido.
