I loved this movie, specifically the father/son dynamic. I have a 22 yo son and when I tried to explain about the movie, I could not stop crying! I do have a great relationship with my son. I was sad, with regret, that I did not have as close relationship with my late father. He was a great man, and how I wish I could go back in time and make better, deeper memories. But we can't. Wonderful screenplay, perfectly directed, cast and performed.....and Il Mondo (Jimmy Fontana) was the icing on the cake. If this film does not touch you, you are truly missing something.
This movie made me realize I really had to enjoy every moment I could have with my mother. Because of that I have great memories of my last year with her.

But this movie was great, and the part when Margot Robbie runs into him after he is in a relationship with Rachel and invites him in, I was like... don’t fuck it up dude, you have a great girl at home. And he didn’t! I was proud of him

They meet at the restaurant, then he goes back to his landlord ... then he rolls back the clock and went to the play instead ... he would not have known about Mary nor would his phone have her number anymore.
This film looks good...I can't believe I've never heard about it! ... Also, I have a question...what is the whole thing about "Ginger" or red haired people over there in Ireland/England/ Scotland? I've noticed it mentioned many times in films, interviews, etc..Does everyone have something against red hair? Is it perceived as unattractive or unfortunate? What's the deal?
I adore Richard Curtis. I want to marry him but I think I have been so unfortunate as to not having had the opportunity to even meet him let alone having him fall as madly in love with me as I am with him. From Blackadder to Love Actually to About Time, his cleverness and his sense of the human condition cannot be faulted. Also his use of music! Sigh.
