- I had recently traveled from Cancun in Mexico to Medellin in Colombia and then decided to take a bus to the famous town of Guatape in the mountain region of Colombia. Medellin had been crazy with people everywhere, but this part of Colombia was much more calm and peaceful.

What a charming,beautiful unspoilt town.So glad u came here and shared it with us.Excellent camera and drone work! You know, you are a true voyager.Other travel vloggers always have everything planned and somewhat scheduled.You just play it by ear and GO! Spontaneous! I did a road trip across the USA (a couple of years before COVID) and back to Cali (over 6,000 miles)and I had a general direction but I never planned or had a place to stay. I LOVED THE FREEDOM.STILL PLENTY OF WIDE OPEN SPACES HERE! In my car, my dog in the backseat blasting music and singing and happy just to DISCOVER.This is a HUGE country with differentsub-cultures in different regions and great regional foods.What an experience! I did another memorable road trip up the entire West Coast to Washington and Oregon (over 1,000 miles).Breathtaking for the most part.I look forward to seeing more of ur Columbia trip.You have kind of done Mexico (as have so many other travel vloggers).Maybe Central and South America are next on the " Road less traveled".

Glad you were able to visit Guatápe. Its a very nice pueblo. The zócalos on the houses (art/murals) each tell a story about the owner. You can a tuktuk/moto taxi to and from La piedra - the big Rock monolith close by. You can climb to the top there are many many stairs but the view is incredible and worth the effort.

I love all your videos but the last two or three ones are absolutely brilliant! I never considered going to Colombia, but now I do. That village by the lake looks absolutely stunning...I want to go and see it before it turns into another tourist trap like Hoi An or Bacalar! ;-)

William, you are so naturally funny and you always make me laugh. I also think like you that one should travel always. I usually travel to Valle de Guadalupe and Ensenada. After a couple of weeks or months, I always get that itch to travel and I don't know why. I guess I am just like you. Most people think that when they retire they will travel and see places but I think that is a terrible idea. Maybe by then you will be sick, tired and energy less or worse, dead. I think one should travel one they feel like it and specially when they are young and full of energy. Traveling quiets the mind and leaves you unforgettable memories to think back on and a heart full of happiness. Cheers for traveling!!!
