- Up until this season, Bellarmine, a small private school in Louisville, Kentucky, had competed at the Division II level. In their first season at the Division I level, they outperformed everybody's expectations, and they did so with a very unique style of play. In this video, I take a deep dive into the offense's principles, and why it can be so difficult to guard.

Problem is this offense is counter productive when ur down big. Takes too long to orchestrate a shot. This works well in the ASUN, but when they take a step up in non conference games, it won't be pretty. Nevertheless I was impressed that they made it to the semi's in the CBI, in their first year in D1
But that's how the spurs beat the heat in the finals back in '14. Matter of fact that's how they won most of their games in the playoffs.

Granted I’m a fan boy, I personally think this shows why programs need to develop their own identity and systems and recruit to it not just copy what every one else is doing
