Thank you for the recommendation. We’re staying at Southview holiday Park at the moment and have found our way down here. Admittedly, we’re not paying the view prices but had a lovely bacon roll and drink across the road. Keep up the good work.
I actually work there! Please note if you have had a bad experience with the waiting time, we are extremely busy! I've actually had a meal there on multiple occasions and it was lovely❤️
@@Evie-k5j Hi Evie, you work in an amazing place all the staff are so lovely and work so hard, the food was excellent and the people in there on the day of the filming were all enjoying the food and hospitality. Keep up the excellent work 👍 NeilR x
Excellent review as always, your reviews are good quality sound and picture unlike some others that bop about to much for my liking. I liked the fact that you showed outside the restaurant as in this case relevant to it's location, plus the fact there is parking close by. The food did look pretty good and the menu quite extent and varied but it would be good to know does their menu show allergens this is very important these days to so many. My wife is a Celiac and her and many other families avoid restaurants that do not show allergens. The only two things that where off putting for us where the fact there was the paper on your plate with the restaurants name on it and the condiments where in sachets, that's acceptable in a fast food outlet but not a restaurant in our opinion. We follow a lot of reviews for Skegness as about to move there and looking forward to sampling all these lovely places that we have not yet seen on various holidays there over the years. Keep up the good work Neil.
Since moving to Skeggy in February, we have been to The View for Breakfasts, Dinners, and just for coffee. One of my favourite places. Always friendly service. Helpful staff. Never had a problem getting seated.... but must admit, if we go in the evening, we do book a table just in case. Portion size is good, and we never leave hungry or disappointed in the meal. We try to chose something different from the menu each time... as there is so much to chose from. Definitely worth a visit.... even if it's only for coffee and cake! If I was to find any fault at all, it's the toilets. Often they just need a bit of tidying, and once, only one of the 'ladies' cubicles was working. Not ideal, but this could happen anywhere.
Hiya, really love the content and have been using your videos for a jog of the memory to remember where to go in skeg, keep up the great work and would love to see a video at the Skegness raceway
Been to the view a few times but just for outside coffee. But after watching the video. I'm really thinking I will go for a meal next time. I'm going to ingoldmells in a couple of days so I will be visiting winthorpe and the view for sure.. Winthorpe is a nice little stop off. Even a breakfast in the nearby arcade is good enough. Place that are abit off the beaten track tend to have hidden gems and I think winthorpe is one of those places. Cheers for the heads up with the restaurant part of the view. always thought it looked nice but only ever had coffee there in the glass seating area. Still very nice nd chilled too
Never have i ever been greeted at the door like you were and i have been here lots of times. I always have the fish platter which is just delicious. Staff can be hit and miss, sometimes brilliant, efficient and friendly and other times look like they wanted to be a million miles . The food is good but its so expensive, it is not a regular haunt due to the prices
we went twice in july , bacon butties first time and full brekkie and poached eggs the second day it was beautiful ,poached eggs on thick bread done to perfection will deffo go back .
I've not been to Winthorpe for a few years. As I remember the restaurant space on the L/H/S of where you went in used to be a shop (or two) that sold beach stuff etc. Perhaps you might think about doing a review in the Lookout a few hundred yards up the prom. I don't know about now, but they always did good value meals in there and the conservatory means you can have a sea view while you eat regardless of weather (though, as we know, it's always sunny in Skeggy!)
I will be trying the view soon. Maybe the spring rolls on my first visit. I cant eat big dinners either. Good vlog Neil. PS. Proper chips would have been a 10. U were right to award a 9.
Had a couple of bad experiences at the View, but only due to excessively long waits after ordering food, drinks etc! , not keen on going back... The North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point is very good and well worth a visit...
Me and my partner live in skegness, only been there once and that was 2 years ago as far too expensive, we only got some dirty fries to take away and they ended up costing nearly £20, they was lovely but not worth the price.
Waited over 40 mins for cake and coffee x 3 the last time and it was not busy at all, been a few times over the last four or five years. I would not recommend it
Propper good food in skeg or Ingoldmells is almost non existent.. Absolutely terrible to be quite honest.. It caters to people who eat McDonald's.. If you wanted a propper slap up meal down there.. I couldn't find anywhere.. I ended up being sick after 4 days of shite food lol not been for few years maybe it's a bit better now.. But it's all money spinners.. They not interested in quality down there.. Lets be honest... Theyl sell what they can get away with.. And the standards there are low.. Needs to be a decent shop with home made spag bol, lasagne, fresh sandwiches, propper jacket tatties, maybe a good curry..if someone goes there and does actual real home cooked food.. Itl do well
