    My cringeworthy dating experiences can be summarized by saying that I am far too susceptible to love bombing. 😕
    It wasn't until after the end of my last relationship that I even realized that was a thing. I have never felt so loved and appreciated, adored and desired as they made me feel, but
    I have also never felt so insignificant. I got to the point where I was either wrong now or I was wrong later for the very same things that they would praise me for.
    ”I love that you do XYZ,” but then later they would tell me how terrible it was that I did those very same things. Not separate, similar instances, but the very ones that they had told me, possibly even told their friends, in person and online, how great it was.
    My learned helplessness became more than a bit overwhelming.
    I know that I was not entirely blameless, though. I did start therapy, trying to work on myself, trying to work on the relationship.
    Better luck next time, cautiously.

    I’m pretty much as far away from being able to get a romantic relationship as possible. I don’t have the self-confidence/charisma to just strike up a conversation and flirt until I end up getting a girl’s number, nor do I feel comfortable doing this (it doesn’t feel like who I am), and I also do not have any friends that are girls

      Real Life Psych
      It’s a dilemma; I want a girlfriend, but I’m not simply gonna do whatever it takes to get one. I’d be compromising my self-respect and values if I were to put my all into finding somebody who would give me the physical contact that I want. Basically everything in my personality leads me in the _opposite_ direction than romance, except the one main romantic desire. I guess I’ll randomly find somebody one day and it’ll happen naturally

    Well, online dating not a fav subjective and even though I told myself I would work on it for February. I’m not happy happy. So a love schema is like a love language basically?

    • @reallifepsych3309
      @reallifepsych3309  3 года назад +2

      Well, a love language is more a reflection of how someone shows love. A love schema is more what you think love “looks like” almost like a love checklist. Hope that makes sense. Nothing wrong with either, just hope that people take a step back and look at people in totality
