your dome roof window car is fantastic! it's so simple, and yet magnificent. the full rounds works best, or no round tiles at all. On the baggage cart, I'd put one door 'open' only use a 1x1 stack with the handle in one corner, and some crates on the inside, to show it is infact four doors, (with some crates almost flying out, or even a thief for a nice scene)

The leviathan is a very beautiful train. It was wonderful to see it running. You should definitely provide the instructions for this. Its a masterpiece. You can add a motor to the baggage car it will definitely smooth out the power delivery and as it does not have any windows the battery box won't be visible. My favorite car are all of them I can't find a flaw in any of them. Now the cars are extremely beautiful but the train engine does not feel that majestic. Do not get me wrong the engine is beautiful since its black in color its hard to identify its design while its moving. On the other hand rest of the cars look majestic when they are running. Excellent and I love this train.
I really like that all of the train coaches with curved roofs are each a little unique. The baggage car is a great addition, the bar car is wonderful with all the gold trim, The dome is a very good techniquethe, and the observation car looks fantastic with the gold platform. Really a fantastic train combination. It's well thought and very well executed. Love that you choose for different style of wagons. And I agree that choo choo sounds is a very good extra touch. That observation car is my favorite 👍
For the Luggage Car door handles… what about doing 2 vertical clips with a vertical gold bar on each door? Sort of like one of those brass bars a conductor might hang off of by the entrance steps to a carriage.
I'll try it out on LDD. To be fair my original design had no handles and these were a last minute thought on video. I'll need more pieces if it looks good!
My theory for this murder: it was all of them. When the murdered lady was young, she threw a paperweight at her sister, who had an ugly scar on her face as a result. The sister, not a vindictive woman but a rather jealous one, was in love with the adventurer who only had eyes for her pretty sister. She, however, ignored him. The footballer, a shady and dodgy man, had his own problems. To bring a suitcase full of drugs across the border, he took the leviathan and hid the suitcase in the baggage wagon. In doing so, he was seen by the murdered woman who, known for her curiosity, later secretly opened the suitcase. When the football player went to check on the suitcase the following evening, he noticed that it had been opened. It is clear to him that this could only be the lady who had been watching him hide. In desperation, he made a plan to act quickly and kill her. When he finds her alone in the dome car a short time later, he reaches for a knife lying at her side. he resolutely goes towards her when he suddenly hears approaching footsteps. Desperate, he throws the knife at her, but only hits her lightly on the arm. Quickly he runs away. From the other entrance comes the adventurer, who finds her bleeding in the room. She quickly explained what had happened. The adventurer, an old friend and accomplice of the football player, quickly makes a decision and stabs her with the knife. An hour later, Gerald enters the carriage and finds her. He immediately realises who must have done it: Her sister, with whom he is madly in love. To protect her, he smudges the fingerprints on the knife with his handkerchief and leaves the room to "find" her again a little later. He is only half right in his assumption: Her sister has indeed killed her. At lunch she has poisoned her sister's food. The poison only takes effect later, when she is already lying on the floor bleeding to death. Good luck figuring that out, Poirot.
What a fantastic train! My favorite is definitly the observation car with the murder scene; however, I would have preferred to see the roof slightly sticking out and have the green stripe homogeneously from left to right.
@@RobinHoodBricks don't understand me wrong, it looks already amazing and the idea to use these glasses is fantastic. If I count correctly you used 6 plate layers from left to right. Did you consider to give up three or six of them and put instead of tge plates once or twice a layer of bricks with on the very bottom side a 1x1x1 white technic brick with hole that can be mounted on a underlying combination of brown plates/tiles. Anyway, might be something to play with in round 2 of your room
We could potentially put another suspect elsewhere on the train as well such as the bar if we need some more people. Maybe a clue or discarded paper on the empty table if it feels too empty? The different handles might be a special locking mechanism for security. Maybe something in the middle to be seen thru the middle windows to suggest the freight. I'm sure we can come up with a nice looking way to put some brake lights on there- maybe have them kind of clip and stick out from where the emblem is in the center? I dont know if we had any internal space for weights in the coal car but if we do maybe some fishing line weights would work?
And slipping is definitely the better term when it comes to the powered wheels losing traction because in real life, the word you use when the powered wheels of a locomotive aren't making proper traction and are spinning is "wheelslip".

This train has got to be my favorite! I am a sucker for old trains and yours looks amazing. What an amazing train! I just love it so much! It looks so amazing and very retro, and looks great going around Brick Nottingham, and sounds like a real train too. My favourite car has to be the observation car. What a beautiful build Robin!
looks better with full 2x2 round tile on the observation roof. As for the weight issue in tender, try some lead sinkers, or flat pieces of lead in the bottom of the tender, or move the motor into the engine?. Otherwise a great build Robin
Robin, the whole point of the dome is so that you have a second floor of seating above the main floor with seats facing outward, allowing the passengers a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. the problem you'd face with this design is that the section of the main floor under the dome often has to be lowered, which is why the side windows below the dome are lower than the rest of them in the photo. If you wanted to that though you'd have to go with a fully brick-built frame for that car.
Hey Robin combine your water and coal tender into one. It will help to provide ballast, aside from the fact that American trains employed that method, instead of water ditches.
@26:28 Maybe you can add the red lights to the top of that weird sign piece. Have it like a oil lantern or something instead of just the ones on the sides. The oil lantern or a head lamb in this case a tail lamb can kinda look like a end of train device. It does the same job to show the end of the train. ( I forgot what the short saying is lol) oh! Just thought of this! Maybe have it to where it can hang down! XD
Absolutely gorgeous. My favourite is narrowed down to the observation car or the dome car. If it wasn’t for the Poirot scene it would be the observation car, hands down, but the Poirot scene is great. There were also a trio of cars that had sky lights on one end and recieved the nickname "Sun Lounges."
I completely agree that the sliding doors look better with the doorhandles, however I think they should get some of those smaller windows too! a trio of windows on each side would be perfect (and windows on such doors are quite common, visibility is important even for moving baggage :D)
would use gold bar holder clips or something similar to hold the lights onto the roof supports of the rear observation car. wouldn't have to have them sticking off the sides.
Excellent job Robin! I just love the domed roof on the one carriage. But I think the observation car is one of my favorites. The Flying Nottsman sure looks good going around your city. It sounds just like a steam locomotive chugging along. If I were to change anything I'd probably amend the wheels of the locomotive to use the coupling rods to make it look more steam locomotive. But not sure how you could do that without replacing all the wheels. Great video my friend I look forward to more exciting videos.
This is absolutely amazing, I love your custom carriages and your engine, this is a true masterpiece of a train. If you ever decide to add to it, it would be cool if you added a mostly closed in car as a sleeper, maybe not double decker though, might look odd.
A very 'out there' suggestion (bear with me, Robin): maybe you could add one of those lights you have on locomotive to bar and Poirot carriages as well. Maybe viewers would see the scenes a bit better, and the train would look cool in dark as well.

The interiors would be great in an 8 wife build but, alas, my tunnels are too narrow!
@@RobinHoodBricks sorry I didn’t notice
What a beautyfull and awsome train!!! And the murder scene is realy good!
Thanks, it came together well!
Wow love this complete build of the whole set. It looks spectacular running around the city. The color choices are spot on. Fantastic job my friend.
Yay, thank you. Yes, dark green was a very good choice!
the whole train is beautiful, choo choo...
Yay!
that would look amazing with the emerald night engine
Maybe a bit too dark green. Have you seen the other two carriage videos in this series? Enjoy!
I completely agree that the sliding doors look better with the doorhandles, however I think they should get some of those smaller windows too! a trio of windows on each side would be perfect (and windows on such doors are quite common, visibility is important even for moving baggage :D)
Erm, that's another LEGO order away pieces-wise I'm afraid!
@@RobinHoodBricks understandable! and I had figured, but also figured that it was worth giving my thoughts still
Another great design! I like it. Dome-car for me ^^
Right on!
I love your Lego train.
I have to say, this train is awesome. 👍 I really Love the Observation Wagon. The crime Scene with Poirot is on Second place.
It's a beauty, that's for sure. The roof is very special, I agree!
would use gold bar holder clips or something similar to hold the lights onto the roof supports of the rear observation car. wouldn't have to have them sticking off the sides.
Well Done! It's just like the Flying Scotsman and the Polar Express again!
Haha, indeed it is!
@@RobinHoodBricks I'm glad.
This train is so cool love the orient express inspiration
The most beautiful train build I've done!
Very well done.
Thank you kindly!
That is a gorgeous train. Good work!
Thanks so much!
The train looks realy nice
Thanks, my friend!
Beautiful! All comes together so well, very well designed and looks so right! Fine work!
Many thanks indeed!
Awesome Robin, that murder scene is great 😃😃
Her face is a picture, haha!
Sleeper, dining car, kitchen car, power car, stateroom car. They all would be great. A bit heavy overall though!
Den ad a new locomotive
This is a stunning build. It looks beautiful!
I love the murder scene, thats great fun.
One of your finest builds yet!
Thank you. It is very pretty. We'll have to do a top ten builds some day!
The balcony on the last carriage makes me think of the polar express.
Oh yes!
A very 'out there' suggestion (bear with me, Robin): maybe you could add one of those lights you have on locomotive to bar and Poirot carriages as well. Maybe viewers would see the scenes a bit better, and the train would look cool in dark as well.
But where would it all end? Just think of the wiring!
@@RobinHoodBricks why not just stick with a light brick, this way you could add a switch to turn it on.
Fantastic best train ever!
Wow. Thank you very much!
Mighty delightful! Im going to get the croccy locomotive soon for Christmas, notify you when i get it!
Sweet. Have fun!
